Stock ODIN recovery (.tar.md5) for GT-P6210? - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Hi Folks,
Noob here... I've been lurching about the forum for about a year now, and finally decided to man up and sign up.
I apologize in advance if this has been addressed in previous posts, but my numerous searches have not been successful.
I am encountering some issues with my CWM recovery and I need to revert to the stock recovery. Can anyone point me to a resource where I can download the GT-P6210 - ODIN stock recovery so I can remove CWM?
I am currently running the permanent (ODIN) CWM recovery.tar.md5 from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777003
Thanks a lot!

I see how it works now. For some reason, I thought the stock recovery was a stand alone aspect, independent of the OS/firmware. It appears that simply flashing the stock firmware also got rid of the CWM and reverted me to stock recovery. Thank you for setting me straight!

Sorted it now
If stuck at bootscreen turn off device, then hold power button and volume up to enter standard android recovery mode, then select clear dalvic and clear cache, reboot and that sorted it

But i made a full wipe, it still doesn't help.
Do i need to flash in offical rom?? Where can i find hk's rom??

If you still have CWM recovery, then your attempt to ODIN the stock ROM did not work.
What version CWM do you have?
Find the stock ROMs here, but make sure your model is p3100 not P3113 or similar.

Open Odin-> Tablet in download mode-> Connect-> Choose the downloaded zip in PDA column

you can;'t use a zip file in odin
you have to extract the contents and point to the .tar.md5 file

I succeed!!! Thx:good:
One more question here
Can I upgrade the android version by using odin with newest firmware?
Thats using 4.1 firmware with the same method I've done.
Sorry for my poor english.

Directly booting to recovery

I have a rooted S-7500, with CWM recovery 5.0.2.8 installed. I (by mistake) allowed the 'software update' option to install a system update(or something) today by mistake (I know, you should never install system updates after rooting. My bad.) Since then, the phone directly goes to the cwm recovery mode on powering on, and i am unable to do anything else
I am not very well versed with the finer details of rooting bootloader recovery n all...so pls some details with steps...if possible .
Any help whatsoever...please I will be really grateful

Thanks!!! It totally worked!
Just a clarification...now that i have got the stock rom back on my phone...am i right in saying that I have lost root access, my phone is totally back to the 'original' state, and i have lost CWM as well? Please correct me if I am wrong.
And assuming that I am correct(above), I would like to re-root my device(need to use proxydroid to surf internet over the damned proxy server!). So..can I follow the standard method, ie, can I do it the same way I had done before, or do i need to do something different now?
And once again...THANK YOU for your help! I had ended up hard bricking my previous phone, and was really scared when this happend to my aceP. You saved me!
Easy way to ROOT your SGAP
Yes by the time you flash stock rom you loss root even any custom recovery you flashed before...
but now if you want to root your SGAP again don't follow that guide again which you done before just follow this :
Download ODIN from Downloading link below (inside ODIN software folder)
Download any one recovery which you like TWRAP / CWM v5.5 (inside Custom recovery folder)
Download Root_SGAP.zip from Root folder & place that zip inside in your sd card
Click to collapse
Download Link : GALAXY Ace Plus - Basic stuff
FOR Custom_Recovery :
Open odin, be sure your system has already install drivers & if kies is there close it.
extract recovery zip
connect device to pc in download mod (vol down + power + home) & select that (recovery) .md5 file in pda section inside ODIN software
Click start & wait to reboot device
FOR ROOT :
Now boot device in CWM mod ( vol up + down + power + home)
choose zip from sd card & select Root_SGAP.zip
DONE.

you've successfully ROOT & flash custom recovery on your device by just few simple steps
Just 1 more qstn...is it necessary to apply a custom recovery before rooting? If no, is it recommended?? Because the last time i rooted, it made me put a custom recovery before rooting.

if you are going to stick on stock rom forever & only want to root device then stock recovery is ok for you...
but while dealing with custom roms, custom recoveries are smart choice.
it has lot of additional options than stock recovery.
so my opinion yes use custom recovery
Stuck in boot loop
Got stuck in boot loop after performing the steps. I was running this ROM.
Had to reinstall the ROM. I'm sure there's something I didn't understand or something I did wrong. I'd be thankful if anyone could point it out.
Thanks in advance.

You are more likely going to get help if you post in detail your issue, what exact model note you have, what custom rom and recovery you installed, what version of odin your using.
Give as much detail as you can............

Well i have the GT-N8000 an i used ODIN 3.0.7 flashing ClockWorkMod Recovery here:
forum.xda-developers - show thread 2102677
after that i flashed CyanoGenMod ROM 10.2 Nightly ("cm-10.2-20131221-NIGHTLY-n8000.zip") Here
download.cyanogenmod.org device GT-N8000
I tried to restore splash sreen by flashing a stock ROM N8000XXCMF1_N8000PHNCMG1_PHN again... didden't work...
so any other thoughts are welcome...
The initial Samsung splash is in the kernel .
Suggest in recovery format data system cache and sdcard .

If a stock rom has no kernel in your view i suggest you read the faqs and guides before flashing anything ever again .
Kernel - This is always supplied with a ROM. It is the beating heart of Android. The ROM cannot function without the kernel. Since all ROMs include a kernel, if you're using a custom Kernel then flash a ROM, you will need to reflash the kernel again.

with ODIN i usually dont have any problems with flashing roms. Not where exactly the splash screen is installed...
but with a rooted rom things can go bad. Normally when you flash a rom the splash screen stays unaffected.
For some reason it was damaged. so i need to find a way to repair it... not easy ....

you shouldn't have to use odin to flash a rom on your phone, odin should be for recovering your devices back to stock or flashing a custom recovery. does it have a recovery on it right now?

[Q] N8020 semi brick,stuck startup logo,No Recovery Mode!

Hello All,
My N8020 is now semi brick after trying to flash it back to stock. It was on custom rom before but showing different errors so i decided to change the rom...First i tried to install another custom rom which was cynogenmod 10 but after intstalling this rom from cwm phone stuck at cynogenmod startup logo i waited for long time but still nothing. Then tried different versions of cynogen roms but same...After all this i decided to install a official rom so i flashed this with
N8020XXBMA3_N8020XSABMA2_N8020XXBMA1_HOME.tar
but now the real problem started..Now i can boot phone in download mode but not in recovery mode at all...Then i tried to flash a cwm via odin and get "PASS" messege in odin but still no recovery mode...Tried to flash to flash clockwork recovery several time but nothing changed and then i check in download mode the custom flash counter increase every time i try to flash cwm...then i searched the stock recovery for 8020 but when i try to flash it via odin i always get "FAIL"...
Now i m out of ideas and searching for a real solution....SO can anybody please tell me what to do next to get it back to life???
Regards,
Muneeb

Try to flash cwm again. Don't check auto reboot in odin. When finished flashing cwm, press power+volume up, when samsung or whatever appears on screen release power but keep presing volume up until cwm loads.

I would start all over from scratch to ensure the files you used were for your device.
THIS IS THE AUTO ROOT PACKAGE FOR AN N8020. UNZIP THE FILE & FLASH VIA ODIN
THIS IS CWM RECOVERY FOR N8020. FLASH VIA ODIN
THIS IS TWRP RECOVERY FOR N8000 WHICH IS WHAT YOU WOULD USE. FLASH VIA ODIN
Its possible at this point you might need to run a pit file. Nand erase as well. Read into them before EVER attempting.

Yes N8000 is the twrp recovery for N8020. Yes pit is risky but if you read into how to do it and follow it you will be just fine. Sometimes a device may require running NAND Erase also (meaning checking the box in odin). The biggest problem with pit file is people not knowing and just running it as if they were getting a custom ROM.

I didn't find a working pit for my n 8010. Don't worry too much about the binary counter, mine was 118 today, I reset it with triangle away. I don't have the balls to do a nand erase on mine, I'm not even sure that is required for my problem, at least mine is working.

Yes, dont check auto boot though leave that unchecked and if it passes reboot to recovery and do a data wipe then reboot. If you run into error add your pit file to the pit window along with your stock tar.md5 file and run it just as I mentioned before with repartition selected
Make sure the pit file you use is for your device model/storage size
