you shouldn't have to use odin to flash a rom on your phone, odin should be for recovering your devices back to stock or flashing a custom recovery. does it have a recovery on it right now?

i tried to install a custom rom but my phone doesnot boot neither it starts in download mode. please suggest what should i do
You could try to flash the stock rom for your phone again. Search Google if there is a stock rom ftf file and flash it with Flashtool
Another possibility is check if you have installed the correct kernel for your custom rom and install both again.

Could you give details about your installation process? A jig could fix your problem or in other words it could boot your phone in download mode.
If your recovery is available flash a custom ROM with it.

i installed the rom under normal conditions. for your info i have done this plenty of times but this time i m clueless. i have ordered for a jig but is there any other way to get my phone back?? please suggest.
Have you tried to flash it with 'Flashtool'?
Have you installed the correct Kernel for your custom rom?
Another solution might be to look in the internet for 'wotan server' - here you could try to restore your phone but it will cost a little.
u could also try odin to flash your original formware
Other than the jig is there any way to start the mobile in download mode??
You could try going into flash mode then flash a new kernal or by going into fastboot mode to flash a new custom ROM in Flashtool.
But I think this only works with Xperia Phones.

here's a link for your stock firmware
http://hotfile.com/dl/179341363/0ab...7500_XSG_1_20120323095806_8gvpv8m64s.zip.html
download it and keep it safe for further use
also if u can access recovery you could just put another custom rom and flash zip through recovery

usually wiping a cache and factory resetting and wiping dalvic cache should fix that issue stuck on samsung logo
its mostly because of cache only
I have a rooted S-7500, with CWM recovery 5.0.2.8 installed. I (by mistake) allowed the 'software update' option to install a system update(or something) today by mistake (I know, you should never install system updates after rooting. My bad.) Since then, the phone directly goes to the cwm recovery mode on powering on, and i am unable to do anything else
I am not very well versed with the finer details of rooting bootloader recovery n all...so pls some details with steps...if possible .
Any help whatsoever...please I will be really grateful

Thanks!!! It totally worked!
Just a clarification...now that i have got the stock rom back on my phone...am i right in saying that I have lost root access, my phone is totally back to the 'original' state, and i have lost CWM as well? Please correct me if I am wrong.
And assuming that I am correct(above), I would like to re-root my device(need to use proxydroid to surf internet over the damned proxy server!). So..can I follow the standard method, ie, can I do it the same way I had done before, or do i need to do something different now?
And once again...THANK YOU for your help! I had ended up hard bricking my previous phone, and was really scared when this happend to my aceP. You saved me!
Easy way to ROOT your SGAP
Yes by the time you flash stock rom you loss root even any custom recovery you flashed before...
but now if you want to root your SGAP again don't follow that guide again which you done before just follow this :
Download ODIN from Downloading link below (inside ODIN software folder)
Download any one recovery which you like TWRAP / CWM v5.5 (inside Custom recovery folder)
Download Root_SGAP.zip from Root folder & place that zip inside in your sd card

Download Link : GALAXY Ace Plus - Basic stuff
FOR Custom_Recovery :
Open odin, be sure your system has already install drivers & if kies is there close it.
extract recovery zip
connect device to pc in download mod (vol down + power + home) & select that (recovery) .md5 file in pda section inside ODIN software
Click start & wait to reboot device
FOR ROOT :
Now boot device in CWM mod ( vol up + down + power + home)
choose zip from sd card & select Root_SGAP.zip
DONE.

Just 1 more qstn...is it necessary to apply a custom recovery before rooting? If no, is it recommended?? Because the last time i rooted, it made me put a custom recovery before rooting.

if you are going to stick on stock rom forever & only want to root device then stock recovery is ok for you...
but while dealing with custom roms, custom recoveries are smart choice.
it has lot of additional options than stock recovery.
so my opinion yes use custom recovery
Stuck in boot loop
Got stuck in boot loop after performing the steps. I was running this ROM.
Had to reinstall the ROM. I'm sure there's something I didn't understand or something I did wrong. I'd be thankful if anyone could point it out.
Thanks in advance.

You are more likely going to get help if you post in detail your issue, what exact model note you have, what custom rom and recovery you installed, what version of odin your using.
Give as much detail as you can............

Well i have the GT-N8000 an i used ODIN 3.0.7 flashing ClockWorkMod Recovery here:
forum.xda-developers - show thread 2102677
after that i flashed CyanoGenMod ROM 10.2 Nightly ("cm-10.2-20131221-NIGHTLY-n8000.zip") Here
download.cyanogenmod.org device GT-N8000
I tried to restore splash sreen by flashing a stock ROM N8000XXCMF1_N8000PHNCMG1_PHN again... didden't work...
so any other thoughts are welcome...
The initial Samsung splash is in the kernel .
Suggest in recovery format data system cache and sdcard .
Boot to download mode flash stock rom via odin .

If a stock rom has no kernel in your view i suggest you read the faqs and guides before flashing anything ever again .
Kernel - This is always supplied with a ROM. It is the beating heart of Android. The ROM cannot function without the kernel. Since all ROMs include a kernel, if you're using a custom Kernel then flash a ROM, you will need to reflash the kernel again.

with ODIN i usually dont have any problems with flashing roms. Not where exactly the splash screen is installed...
but with a rooted rom things can go bad. Normally when you flash a rom the splash screen stays unaffected.
For some reason it was damaged. so i need to find a way to repair it... not easy ....

When you tried to flash to factory firmware did odin give you a message of pass or fail?
When you flashed to factory ROM did it actually install the factory firmware?
Have you have tried other versions of odin.......a copy of Odin3 v1.85 in attachment, if you want to try it.

I suspected something was wrong because i have tried to install CWM recovery but none have seem to work. I don't know if it is safe to flash a custom ROM via cyanogen mod via PC because i guess it does not need a recovery to flash via pc,i don't know if i should continue with this situation i have because i am afraid i might brick the phone. Your help is very much appreciated
