Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask...
I received my brand new Nexus S today, but I was disappointed to find a scuff on the screen, even under the protector that was shipped with it. Its small enough I don't want to ship it back, but it is annoying. Its def not a scratch. I've tried screen cleaner and rubbing it really hard, but it doesn't go away. I'm not for sure what kind of screen it is, so does anyone have any tips that won't scratch but might give me a chance to remove it?
It's likely to be a imperfection in the oleophobic coating. Normally it takes a few days and can wear off but you seem to have been unlucky. A way to prove it is to clean the screen well with a microfibre cloth - the scuff should now be almost invisible. If after you've touched the screen a few times it becomes much more obvious the diagnosis is confirmed.
Yeah that sounds exactly like the problem. Unfortunately it didn't get better. Its actually just above the display, closer to the camera and speaker. I was just hoping there was a quick fix to buffering it.
Hey guys and gals,
I've never owned a device with Gorilla glass display since my Vibrant and I only had it for a few days. I was wondering, for those that do not use a screen protector. Is a screen protector needed?
I've always used Invisashelid but I really like the feel of just glass and if I got even the tiniest scratch I would O.C.D on it and it would dive me nuts.
So in short, does the Gorilla Glass work well enough to where you don't need a screen protector at all?
The guy at T-Mobile told me that the Sensation does not have GG but after doing to little Google-ing it seems it does. I know this is a funny question but I wanted to get peoples opinions about it before I made my phone naked (besides the case).
If you're even remotely OCD (which you claim you are)..USE PROTECTION! Then you can only blame yourself.

Major fail on my part, I have no idea how I didn't see that . Thanks for the heads up, I'll close the thread.
I am too lazy to search the forums for answers but I really need the answer on this people. What is the best screen protector for the Sensation? I have a random annoying scratch that I need to cover up and I also want to protect my screen from future scratches. Please, please, please give me an answer someone!!
If you're too lazy to search, I'm too lazy to leave this thread open
I know that this has been asked before but i couldnt find an answer. Just cracked the glass on my transformer. Not the screen or anything else. Works fine its just that the glass is webbed. Anywhere to buy the glass and replace it myself. Or somewhere that doesnt charge and arm and leg. Thanks
I would have to say that your best bet would be eBay
Anywhere you go they'll probably charge you an arm and a leg for it
Good luck
Hello Fellas,
Normally im in the DINC2 Section but I have ventured over here to see if anyone has found what I am looking for. I have been searching for days and reading repair threads in this forum for the SIII trying to find the "GEL" that is used between the LCD/ Digitizer and the front glass pane. It's a type of dispersion gel that "registers" where the finger was pressed on the glass pane. The digi reads where the biggest dispersion is at and registers that as where it was pushed and selects whats under that part of the gel. I have looked at optical adhesive but it isnt an adherent and the 3m company cant supply that size of "tape" that isnt a double sided adherent. So I am asking you as a group who is big in research, and will possible out do me when it comes to research, what could I use or what is it called?
Thank you in advanced guys,
