I just picked it up and its great but I'm just wondering since its only one of a few tegra 3 tabs out right now, why is there no forum for it?

How come you don´t read and search before posting?

[Q] Should XDA add a Tablet Forum?

I've been noticing more and more of the posts in the Android General forum as well as the General forum are regarding a new crop of Tablet devices.
An older thread asked the same question, but then seemed to die.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710515
I'd like to bring up the subject again. Would XDA be a better place for those who are purchasing tablet devices to use as a resources if there was a tablet specific section?
That sounds like a good idea. I need help choosing one and that would make it way easier.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
Its already there...The Samsung Galaxy Tab found its place on XDA and i found my place there as a Moderator...Well, there is no need for a Tablet specific forums...They are already classified under the company they are released from...No more classifications...

I understand there is a Galaxy Tab device listed under the Samsung devices, and this is nice for those folks looking for information.
Where do the Nook dev's go? Or how about those who purchase the 7" Sylvania tablet that KMart and Toys R Us is selling?
I was interested in knowing if XDA could create a generic Android tablet forum for those of us who have these sub-$350 tablets and need a central place to share information other then having to hunt down a thread here and there across all the general forums.

[Q] Tablet advice

Just wondering what everyones thoughts were on 10 inch tablets at the moment with a strong development scene. Galaxy tab 10.1 one of the strongest? Haven't done a lot of research yet on what tablet im going to buy but dont want to buy it and then the development go stale really quickly. Cheers.
I've got the Samsung Galaxy 8.9, the smaller version of the 10.1. Both tabs are sexy beasts. There should be lots of development still going on for it, especially when they release ICS for it later this year. And you can pick one up on ebay right now for $369 if you hurry.

He is in the UK btw.
You can pick up the tab 8.9" for £279 on PC world website or a Moto Xoom 10.1" with extra 16GB Memory and sdcard slot for same price.
I made a thread asking about what people prefer but got no response.

i got my eye on the newly annouced huawei multimedia 10 tablet, looks amazing on spec, hoping t-mobile sell so can upgrade instead of a mobile..

[Q] A simple request...

Mods, can we please have all the "My dock is a 201 dock", "Windows 8", "Should i get an Infinity", etc. threads auto locked?
Maybe even have a FAQ sticky with links to useful information...
'Photographic Proof that TF-201 and TF-700 docks are identical, except stickers.' should def be in there.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1810592
Just sayin, i come here every couple days and every time its the same questions being asked, the same threads being reposted... Its like people forgot there's a search button...
Question the second:
If we had a master Q&A sticky what other threads should be linked in it and why?
The Jelly Bean thing is getting beat to death too...
How about we wait for it to happen before torturing each other with more on and on about this non existent event that has yet to be.
+1 to sticky the dock thing.
JB will go away when JB is actually released.
Don't forget, people are allergic to the search feature, LOL.

I see we have all Galaxy TAB3 mix together. As a Starting area I guess was OK.
But please understand that Galaxy TAB 3 10.1 are an entire Beast base in x86 architecture.. A lot of what is been commented for other models may not apply!!
I am trying to convince you that we 10.1 users need a separate area where we can be allowed to expose our needs. For this obvious reason Most of us find our-self posting inside:
Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Android Development
I know in many times in clear violations of the rule in:
[WARNING: READ ME 1st] If YOU DID NOT CREATE "it" THEN IT DOESN'T BELONG IN HERE
This 10.1 x86 Devices are new and to little is in fact available. So almost all threads in the development area may violate:
"If your thread can be phrased as a question, it DEFINITELY doesn't belong in Development "
Yes this are in fact questions of people looking for answers really hard to find since it is a new device!
I am a guy who believe in rules and try to obey them. That I know no one yet has received a complaint. But please understand us when we try to maintain our-self in one Clearly Galaxy Tab3 10.1 area. Plus most of us try to ask the few "NEW" developers that may be the only ones having not the right, but maybe close or best answer.
I do not want to change the format of this forum, nor have the right answer to this dilemma. But we need a waiver to the "phrased as a question..., doesn't belong in Development ". Or a Separate Q/A area dedicated for TAB 10.1
In the other hand at this point in our discovery there may be not "The Right Answer" available. So we may offer the best approach. So it will be also weird to have a Q/A where the answers are not the ANSWER but suggestions!
So I hope to see an official view. In any point, please feel free to delete this post if you find it inappropriate. Thanks for your hard work.
I hope you understand my point,
.
All those three tabs are different to each other. The 8 inch variant has another processor as the 7 inch. The 7 inch has a version with another processor too.

You are totaly right. I do not want to argue with you. But to convince you guys about our limited situation.
But even thought they have different processors they are in fact ARM devices.
The 10.1 is in fact an x86 processor! This make very difficult for Developers to come up with solutions, for example our TWRP and CWM are very unofficial, rudimentary, untrusted failing in many cases, requiring the User to understand its limitations and use them with special steps to overcome the limitations. All Rom alternatives are just Repack Stock Roms with deleted and added components. CM10 or even AOSP is just a dream at this point. Lets hope it change soon.
Hello.
For your questions post in the "Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" section, it is there for all the Galaxy Tab 3 models. You can specify in the title or in the OP what model your thread is about.
I second this as having the x86 arch. is going to hopefully enable us to run other os's on our 10.1's and having separate sub-forums similar to how the HD2 has it will make for more organized development.
agree. prob not a good idea to lump all the tab 3 together.
The Tab 3 7.0 inch is a real slug - I returned it and got a note 8. But i'll bet the Tab 3 8.0 is probably much smoother as is the 10.1 I would imagine.

Looking for the Lenovo Tab3 8 forum... is one not made yet?

Hi, maybe I overlooked the forums & search results but I can't find a forum for the Tab3 8 tablets... so is a forum just not made yet or have I overlooked something? I snagged one from walmart yesterday, apparently fresh from a June launch it looks like...
