[Q] usb debugging connected not showing up in notification bar on samsung infuse 4g - Samsung Infuse 4G

Hello. I am trying to root my Samsung Infuse 4g. I found a root and unlock script on this website but it never works and i have usb debugging checked but it doesnt show up in the notification bar on my phone, Can anyone help?

Have you installed the official Samsung USB drivers? http://d-h.st/sKF
Are you currently running Gingerbread (2.3.6)? If so, I'm fairly sure that the one-click root/unlock script won't work for you. Since my Infuse had a factory install of 2.3.6, I had to root with Heimdall, and then use a hex editor to find the unlock code.

root!
Hi! I'm not well informed on your device, however i hope my little experience will help you
as to my know, there are different ways to root a handset, and not all of the approaches work with all the devices. I rooted my device (motorola xt720) using Superoneclick. It's a program you can easily download on your pc (i'm not allowed to post links, so i'll leave you the struggle to copy its name in the Google bar and download it from one of the first website that published it ), it doesn't require installation, you just have to select Debug USB from Settings-apps-development (this is the path in my device, at least), connect your device to your pc by a USB cable, open Superoneclick and click on root...and if your device is similar to mine, after a few seconds you should be rooted! That's the procedure I applied on my handset, but i don't know if it's possible also on yours. Let me know something!

[Q] LG Enact VS890

I've just (October 2013) purchased an LG Enact VS890 on Verizon, released August 22, 2013. USB Debugging is available as an option under "Settings / Developer options". "Internet Connection" is the USB connection mode required to get USB debugging going.
I'd really like to obtain root on this phone, but it doesn't seem to have been rooted, based on a Google search.
Does anyone else have any experience with the LG Enact?
And how does one go about rooting a brand-new Android model?

It's verizon, so you may not even be able to root the phone. It's been a bit since someone brought me something from verizon but I remember it being unable to root. Even googleing only turns up reviews and such but no real root instructions.
I suppose there is an upcoming cousin of this for T-Mobile, Optimus F3Q (considering the VS890 is called FX3)

I would very much like root on this device too. I am looking to get it to use as an at home internet messenger/update device etc. I would pay if someone finds a root and does step by step for other users.
I may get it regardless and try saferoot myself too.
That worked!
I just rooted my LG Enact (Verizon-branded) via this F3Q instruction: http://www.andromods.com/root-unlock/d520-one-click-rooted-tmobile-lg-optimus-f3q.html
Confirming that works!
Note that USB debugging (and that's why Saferoot) won't work until you set PC connection is set to "Internet" mode.

But this is for Android 4.1.2, not for 4.4.2. So I will try this on my Mom's Enact and see if it works. Mom is thinking about getting a new phone because it shuts off when she is not using it and its not because of a low battery. This could be fixed by hacking some of the files in the system if it was rooted.
Sent from my Ally using XDA mobile app
For anyone having one of these phones (LG / Verizon Enact VS890 4G) today in 2016, I just bought one at fry's for $10 got home and ran KingRoot via the desktop app, and successfully rooted the thing just fine right out of the box.
Have to enable Ethernet/modem over USB before the option to enable usb debugging is "un-greyed" and checked, then tap it in the phone again to disable "Installer mode", and get actual access. Then go in security options and enable apps from unknown sources. Connect to computer and run kingroot and it should root it, then reboot it then live rooted. Worked for me.

Samsung Galaxy S III I535 (VZW) Hardbricked?

So yesterday I got this Samsung Galaxy S III that was I535 but had a I9300 4.1.2 Firmware in it. (I don't know how was it there) It had been rooted. I don't know about the bootloader if it was locked or unlocked.
I wanted to install the official firmware for i535 so I used Odin to flash I535's official 4.4.2 (downloaded from sammobile.com) and it worked fine. I then used towelroot v3 apk to root the phone and it got rooted again, then I used safestrap 3.71 to install custom recovery and that too went well.
I then flashed a zip to get Motolora Cricles widget, although that didn't install properly but my phone was still working fine until then. Then I used EZUnlock14 to unlock my bootloader and the app supposedly decraled that my bootloader was "now" unlocked, again I couldn't confirm because that's when the problem starts.
After closing that app I plugged in my phone through usb cable to my laptop and had been using it for facebook and texting. Then I turned off my phone and it never turned on back again.
When I connect it to the PC now, it is not recognized and Device manager shows QHSUSB_DLOAD device
I hope somebody can help me with that.
well, ya dun messed it up. But its fixable. For future reference, never try a bootloader unlock app, thats what messed yours up. Those apps only work on 4.2.2 bootloader phones and have caused many a headache for lots of folks. Lemme grabe you a link quick.
here ya go. this will get it fixed for ya
