PipoBeans v1 is based off of the latest 8/24/12 firmware.
Infected is based off of the Cube's firmware.

Honestly, you just need to try them for yourself. Now that Tab_Modder got cwm to run on these devices it is easier than ever to try different ROMs.
TNT release 2
I don't know if this helps but I came across the TNT 2 ROM at www topnotchtablets com/support (sorry - as a noob I can't post links)
The guys over on the tnt forum have some good user info. Well worth the read and by all accounts the TNT ROM there has removed the apps that weren't quite up to their expectation. Well worth a read in my humble opinion.
Good luck

But I have some questions:

ROM Manager doesn't support the tablet. It is only used for quick access to reboot to clockworkmod. You can download reboot recovery from the market and it will do the same. As for installing clockworkmod, topnotchtablets support site is www.flashmyandroid.com.
Also, I believe TnTs ROM has a 2GB app partition instead of the factory 1GB. Therefore, you shouldn't need to move the apps to SD unless you use up all 2GB for apps.

Don't ever apologize for bad English. At least you are trying, I only speak one language! lol
As for clockwork, yes you will lose everything because you need the rockchip tool to flash the new img with clockworkmod on it. However, using titanium backup you can backup all of your apps and data to the external sdcard to restore later.

Got my M1 yesterday. I must say this is really a bang for the buck tablet I'm going to return it tomorrow though because I saw 2 dead pixels. Anyone knows what more I can try for the replacement unit? I don't want going back and forth to where I bought it because it's kinda far from my house

Stick with it. It is a great device. You may be able to recover the pixels if they are stuck in a specific color, rather than burned out completely. There are free apps on the market that randomly flash colors to unstick the pixel.

Thanks! But I already had it replaced. Unfortunately, the replacement still has a stuck pixel. Major bummer. I just hope it will correct itself overtime. Oh and I also tried those apps you were talking about. Didn't work Anyway, I think I'm just going to stick with it. It's just one anyway.
I also had my M1 rooted and customized with TNT3. Now I can download any app I want in play store without any of those compatibility issues

The first thing you do is put it in pairing mode and connect it to your tablet. Certain apps need to be configured in the menu to use the BT GPS. It is usually just a checkbox.

So great to see another update with many bug fixes, I notice one of them is better suspend outcome, in your known issues post you state:
"Sometimes wakes from suspend by itself (usually when suspending via the screen timeout)"
Does shutting off the screen manually still result in it occasionally waking too ?
Also Wifi, does that break no matter how it suspends, manually or timeout ?
Cheers
Yes and yes to both questions
Just it seems that the nvidia ventana drivers work quite well because the build is smoother than before
I'm impressed with this build, the setup is smoother, the gApps work for the most part, i am tinkering with SD card mount currently to see if I can fix it

Have you tried to reinstall the app on ICS yet? Alot of the apps that I have on HC usually run on ICS. I'm not sure if that particular one will install though. You may have to run it through a deodex, and try to install it via adb.
Did you find the workaround for the Wifi glitch stable?

up and running no problem, booted back into recovery fine, everything seems smooth. quite happy to run with this as i only use my tf for creating sigs and browsing the web / listening to music. Trying to find a screen capture app that works on this so i can show it off but the one i used took a capture and instead of the rom build details i got a recovery type screen but the writting was in green. kinda cool but obviously of no use lol
only question for me is: can future ics based roms just be flashed via recovery as normal?
i can jump back to h/c based roms from ics on my sgs2 via recovery no problems but im aware of hardware differences etc.
all apps from titanium backup running fine for me.

If you are already at ICS then yes, unless Paul or whomever decides that it's better to wipe first. Just remember, the TF doesn't flash the kernel (luna, spelling-- he he he) so you have to flash it separately to get back to HC. Otherwise a good nandroid should work just fine to return.

im wondering....since the xoom and galaxy tab both share many features as the tf101, and the xoom and gtab both have stable cm9 builds... would we be able to "steal" some parts from those roms and make a port or something?

try switch back to Stock ROM,
there's no advantage using custom XDA rom when you still have the warranty, unless Samsung doesn't give firmware upgrade anymore

The sdcard might be corrupt, or it might be a problem with your tablet. Try putting it in a USB microSD reader. (they can be had for $2 online if you do some bargain hunting or $5 from radio shack--save yourself the angst of trying to mount USB storage and just buy one) It's also possible, though very unlikely, that it somehow got broken during some sort of hard reset or reboot, and you'll need a new one.)

(they can be had for $2 online if you do some bargain hunting or $5 from radio shack--save yourself the angst of trying to mount USB storage and just buy one) It's also possible, though very unlikely, that it somehow got broken during some sort of hard reset or reboot, and you'll need a new one.)

I think that my external sd card is no problem. Because, when i boot tablet into clockworkmod recovery mode, the system still detect and read data on it. I don't understand what is the problem !!!

must be caused by your custom ROM,
please note almost every custom rom in XDA is developed by inexperienced wannabe hackers (some devs even doesn't have decent coding skill), & they deploy the rom without extensive testing, & they also not responsible if your devices bricked! LOL
pidgin2012, try reformatting your external sdcard from CWM or PC.
Rotundjere, that's not entirely true. Devs will usually tell you how well a ROM works. For example, CM9 is labeled as an RC, meaning that they tested it and everything works. However, CM10 is labeled as a preview, meaning that some things may not work & you try it at your own risk. For the most part I have found custom ROM's to be more stable then their stock equivalents.

Thanks for your advise! I will try to format sd card on my PC.
The cause make external sd card failed, the reason is that Clockworkmod 6.0.1.0. Because after flash clockworkmod, i have boot tablet to original rom, the system has noticed that can not read from external sd card

Well that's funny as every rom I've run from xda works better than stock roms made by the oems so some of them obviously know a thing or 2

you can't compare xda custom rom made just by one person (mostly don't know how to code, & not test it properly) compared with the official stock rom, it's ridiculous

I'm not. I've used roms from various different devs and they have always been better than stock. All the devs I've dealt with use testers before mass releases and they are always up front about any bugs that may be in the rom. Frankly my phones stock rom had more bugs than the custom roms ive used. I've doubled my battery life, have more customization options, increased performance and have fixed some major bugs from the stock rom that never should have been allowed to leave the factory, and took 6 months for motorola to fix. Xda devs fixed it in 2. So tell me again how they don't know what they are doing

I have a Craig cmp745e and have rooted it and installed cwm. I have found a custom ROM that loads and runs quite nice, the only problem is my touchscreen doesn't work. My question is there a way to get the drivers for my screen off my tablet and make them work with a different rom?

This symptom is exhibited if you flash the wrong kernel for your device, thereby making the touchscreen not to respond. However the hardware buttons might respond. Flash the right kernel for your device.:good:
I'm pretty sure I got the right kernel, I found that the screen works its just off by several inches. I used the stock kernel posted somewhere on here. Before I used the stock kernel I couldn't even get it to load so I think its the right kernel.

Since you are on stock kernel and have found that the screen works then this won't be a kernel problem.:good:

This might be due to a wrong dpi setting of the rom that doesn't match your device's display hardware . You can use an app that changes the dpi setting back to its stock value. Since it is a custom rom, maybe it might have an option to change the dpi in settings.

Since it is off by several inches, it might be difficult to use an app to change the dpi. Its better to edit the rom package zip using a computer to change the dpi back to stock value and again flash this modified zip in CWM.
Follow these steps to edit the custom rom zip file
1. Copy the zip file to the computer and open it using winrar (no need to extract)
2. Navigate to System folder
3. Open the file name build.prop using notepad.
4. Scroll down and under 'Additional_build_properties' look for the line ro.sf.lcd_density = xxx
Replace xxx with stock value and save it.
5. Save the zip for the changes made to be merged.
6. Transfer it to your sd card and flash it.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks! I can't wait to try it. The wireless keyboard I have works great so I'll try to set it from the device.. ..do you think an LCD density app would help of there is no option within the rom?

A wrong dpi setting makes the displayed objects to appear shifted and not all objects will be visible. Hence ensure that you have the stock dpi value.
I tried it with a LCD density app, no matter what I set it to the touch was way off and always by the same amount. I could see the coins and keyboard change size but the screen was off by the same amount each time.

This might be a bug in the custom rom you have used. Ckeck to see if this is a known issue from the site you have downloaded the rom. Perhaps they might provide a fix or an update.

Have you found any solution yet? Im having the same problem with the screen being off by several inches even with the stock image from the craig website flashed back on it.
same with me it started after i flashed the kernal from the craig website.
I never flashed the kernel from the Craig website. I used a rom I had found here. Before I flashed a new rom I used the online nandroid backup app. After I flashed the new rom had the same screen problems. The cwm recovery was installed with the rom and with the help of a cheap wireless keyboard I was able to use my nandroid backup to restore my backup. After it was restored my tab was working fine and I have cwm. Now I'm just trying different things hoping to find a cm rom that will work.

Is it possible for you to upload the backup for me to try to see if it fixes my problem as well?
Hello,
I just purchased a pre-owned Galaxy Plus 7.0 in perfect condition for £85.00 as I've been on the look out for a tablet recently for browsing, checking emails and playing some games.
I haven't been able to find many reviews online of this tablet but how does it run in general? Is it nice and smooth without lags? Is web browsing and playing games a smooth experience?
Thanks
The G Tab Plus is a very good tablet, even is more powerful that the Galaxy Tab 2, that is newer.
Anyways some more new device could be better ( like Nexus 7) I really like the G Tab Plus.
Thanks for the reply - For performance, which firmware is the best one to go for? A custom or stock ICS?
Cheers

Do you have the GT-6200 or the gt-6210 (or a different version? The 6210 is wifi only.) Jellybean was officially released for the 6200 very recently. Skype works. Other apps that you might find beneficial is tablet talk and groove IP if you want to be able to receive & send texts from your tablet with your phone number & groove IP lets you make phone calls using your google voice number. The tablet runs good especially after being updated from honeycomb to ics. I have mine completely full and it still runs good (using stock ROM & firmware but overclocked it a little bit.)
The only other recommendation I can think of is if you want to be able to move files from your internal storage to your ext SD card you should follow this guide. Without the mod you can only move files to the SD card from a computer (& like most tablets & newer phones apps2sd doesn't work. You could use a directory bind app but I have not tried any.)

I don't understand well that, I can move file to and from SD card to internal whenever I want and I never use any fix for that. Or are you talking just about moving apps to SD?
BTW I have the p6210.
Like Grandpa says, "If it works, don't fix it." This was a problem on Honeycomb, I think it must have been fixed on ICS.
the best thing can this tablet do is playback video that my opinion
