So great to see another update with many bug fixes, I notice one of them is better suspend outcome, in your known issues post you state:
"Sometimes wakes from suspend by itself (usually when suspending via the screen timeout)"
Does shutting off the screen manually still result in it occasionally waking too ?
Also Wifi, does that break no matter how it suspends, manually or timeout ?
Cheers

I'm impressed with this build, the setup is smoother, the gApps work for the most part, i am tinkering with SD card mount currently to see if I can fix it

Have you tried to reinstall the app on ICS yet? Alot of the apps that I have on HC usually run on ICS. I'm not sure if that particular one will install though. You may have to run it through a deodex, and try to install it via adb.
Did you find the workaround for the Wifi glitch stable?

up and running no problem, booted back into recovery fine, everything seems smooth. quite happy to run with this as i only use my tf for creating sigs and browsing the web / listening to music. Trying to find a screen capture app that works on this so i can show it off but the one i used took a capture and instead of the rom build details i got a recovery type screen but the writting was in green. kinda cool but obviously of no use lol
only question for me is: can future ics based roms just be flashed via recovery as normal?
i can jump back to h/c based roms from ics on my sgs2 via recovery no problems but im aware of hardware differences etc.
all apps from titanium backup running fine for me.

If you are already at ICS then yes, unless Paul or whomever decides that it's better to wipe first. Just remember, the TF doesn't flash the kernel (luna, spelling-- he he he) so you have to flash it separately to get back to HC. Otherwise a good nandroid should work just fine to return.

im wondering....since the xoom and galaxy tab both share many features as the tf101, and the xoom and gtab both have stable cm9 builds... would we be able to "steal" some parts from those roms and make a port or something?

Gtab is a completely different board. So no. Xoom has a bunch of different parts that require different drivers, so, no on that too, unless you want to bork your tablet.

UPDATE 5/4: It has been determined, although it remains unclear as to why, that you need a modified kernel in order for this mod to work. It is my intention to get Hulu working across the Honeycomb platform, so if you have any input as to why Tiamat's kernel is required, please address it in this thread.
See original post in Xoom forum
Transformers: I will keep an eye on your dev forum and update this post when a fix is found. I imagine custom kernels are right around the corner.

Can you confirm that have followed all of the instructions? Are you using Dolphin Mini? Did you change the user agent to desktop? Did you enable Add-ons to Always On? Uninstalled the old Flash and installed the modified APK?

It's working on the Xoom with users who are using a custom kernel (tiamat). Something in the kernel is making it work..
Unfortunately, we do not have any custom kernels, so there's no way for us to find out what is added in that one and add it here..
Hi,
This is a subject that came up while discussing something else in another post, but it's important to me so I hope posting it here will be helpful both for me and others.
Many times, apps that are available in the Market state that they are uncompatibale with kindle Fire. When I got the apk file from another source, I was able to install it on my rooted KF with no problems whatsoever.
I don't know why this happens, but I understood (from the other thread) that the device's ID cand be changed so that the Market thinks it's a different device and will let me download and install the app.
How can I do that? I have the original KF without any ROM changed, only rooted.
If someone could post directions as to how this could be done (newbie level, please...) it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Yossi

You could try sideloading your apps but I recommend rooting or installing a ROM based off stock like MoDaCo.

The problem with the default Kindle ROM is that the bar at the bottom is oversized like two times compared to the default Android one. A lot of apps are perfectly fine on the Kindle, but there are some that get cut off because of that bar. So because of that, they simply don't mark it as compatible. If we had a fullscreen option globally, it wouldn't be a problem.

I tried this, gave up and installed Gede's ICS.
Every time I tried to download & install an app with Google Play It would crash. I tried uninstalling, installing from KFU, fixing permisions with the TW recovery and still would crash.
The other issue with using the stock kindle and root is your Build.prop may prevent you from getting many things that you may want to run that the kindle may be capable of running but can't due to restrictions set by the dev.
When i was on GB or Froyo i remember every time i restored a rom either stock or custom, as soon as i logged into my google account my apps auto restored.
Now on ICS i see some custom roms do this and others do not and none of the stock roms do.
why is this?
its such as nice feature and it seems like something that is available from google itself and that some rom devs just enable it or disable it.
does anyone have any insight?
Also i downloaded Titanium Free version and i can not find Batch operations anywhere. did they change it to where you have to buy pro version to get batch operations now?
You have to check or uncheck it before signing in. If you download an app first it overrides the restore.
As far as titanium, I dunno. I support the devs and buy apps.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
no what I mean is some roms as soon as you sign in and choose yes to google backup service, the device starts downloading all of your apps from google play store automatically which is awesome.
most roms dont do that and none of the stock roms have done this since Froyo and SOME GB ones.
this must be some type of hidden default setting that some devs arent enabling by default in their roms which i cant understand why they wouldn't do it.
Before I sign in I uncheck auto sync and all that so the apps don't restore automatically. So I guess I wouldn't know which roms it happens or doesn't happen on.

yea i think ive noticed it on CM9 builds as well.
i just dont understand why even stock builds in Froyo and some GB had this enabled by default but no Stock ICS does it and very limited and hit or miss 3rd party ICS roms do it.
it makes it so much easier when flashing roms when you sign in and all of your apps from the playstore just start downloading.

I'm running the ultra fast rom on my rooted/unlocked transformer and have 3 questions/problems that are driving me nuts.
1) Can anyone tell me why I can't get any audio or video display on my samsung tv when attempting to use my hdmi out cable? No video or sound on the tablet or the tv?
2) I've installed flash player but I can't get it to actually work. Anyone have any suggestions?
3) What is everyones opinion of the best JB Rom/kernel to run on this? I'm pretty happy with the ultra fast rom but I still like to switch it up every so often.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to attempt to help me. I appreciate it.
What are you trying to play? Like a movie on the device? Like off a memory card or its internal memory? or are you streaming something from a website(my assumption since you said you installed flash) try playing pandora or youtube. See if that outputs anything.
As far as the HDMI problem is concerned, I'm trying to thrown Droid TV Primetime over to my tv but I've also tried youtube and am unsuccessful with that also.
The flash problem I only really notice when I'm trying to watch an online fight or stream something similar to that.
Thanks for your time.
Adobe chose to discontinue support for Flash Player on Android JB. They're trying to push everyone to use HTML5. I'm sure there is info around on the forums about how to use flash or how to use a flash alternative, but that's why your flash player won't work.
I know I flashed a JB rom and hated it, but while I was on it I used Dolphin Browser and it has a built-in alternative to flash that still works. Give that a try.

The main thing that I'm trying to do is to use Droid TV and throw it up on the tv for the bigger screen. I've tried youtube but get the same results. It's been a while since I've tried but if my memory serves me, I couldn't even get a home video to play on the tv.
The flash problem is a different problem as I'm just trying to stream UFC fights for football games, things of that nature. I've tried my built in browser, Dolphin browser and another called Xperia Scope or something along those lines and get nothing. Thanks again for trying to help.

2. Like was already mentioned, Flash isn't supported anymore.
3. I'm pleased with the CyanogenMod 10.1 (Android 4.2.1) custom ROM for the TF300T (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055430). It's not the absolute fastest, but it has nightlies, and even though the developer has a lot on his plate he's been responsive and helpful.

Just to make sure I wasn't crazy (I tried to sideload Flash Player before on the TF300T and it didn't work, but you made me second-guess it for a minute!), I went to that site and checked out the downloads:
1. Double-checked the link on the Flash Player site (http://www.adobe.com/flashplatform/certified_devices/), and the TF300T isn't on the supported list.
2. Tried sideloading the latest Flash Player for Android 4.0 devices further down the page ("Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.36)"), and it installed fine, but then when I tried to play a video on Amazon Instant Videos it says that the version isn't supported.
So yes, technically you can install it, but it does you no good. (Unless you can verify another method, UndisputedGuy.)

Right...that's exactly the same link and download file that I tried. I installed that exact .apk file and then tried to play a Flash video on Amazon and it wouldn't work.
I am using JB, but it's the newest release (4.2.1, through CM 10.1). Not sure if that matters at all.
I'm not on JB 4.2, i'm just on stock and unrooted 4.1. I tried flash in stock browser (loaded up a flash game) and it worked although it was slower than previously.

This is for you Titanium Backup users. I would not restore data, this is a new version of android.
For TiBu fix
Go: menu > preferences > backup folder location
Click: Detect > Whole Device
Change location to "/storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup"
(if you have no backups saved to SD, hit Back nav key until you can select this directory manually)
IF asked if you'd like to move files to new directory, select NO
You then can restore apps.
On TiBu's Twitter they released a beta which supposedly fixes inability to uninstall apps via TiBu, but I haven't tested this

I'm feeling it a little bit smoother than CM 10.1 not a single FC or random reboot on latest version.
