Thanks for the heads up!
Gonna try this out, will be very excited if it works how I think it works...
Any noticeable battery drain? I feel like this could be power hungry if not properly implemented...

Flash light app that uses LEDs

Is there one that works for the Evo, anyone?
LED Light by picolyl on the Market.
-------------- Thanks!
Yeah thanks, other flashlight apps were being lousy and LEG light fits in with the on/off widget motif. Handy since I don't use Bluetooth and 4G isn't here yet
I am using this on the evo and it works flawlessly... great widget too:

+1 on bein moved
and i use switch pro personally i like having a customizable toggle bar (is that what we are calling it lol i dont know )

For those missing Notification Toggles (Samsung Users)

Hey guys, for those of you who have solely used Samsung android devices (I had the Captivate, Infuse, and Skyrocket), you might be missing the notification toggles in the dropdown. I know there is a settings button on the notifications, but I kind of like having immediate access to some functions such as flashlight and auto-rotation, not to mention wifi, bluetooth, and sound.
Try this app out: Notification Toggle
Also, here is a thread on xda devoted to the app and also has other icons that you can customize if you don't like the ones included.
There is also a notification icon for the status bar that you can set as a battery icon if you hate the AT&T notification.
Thank you so much for this. This app works like a charm :-D

Yeah I thought this would be good to use until we get root and custom roms that might add the quick settings tab. I am, however, loving this phone so far. So much better than the Samsung phones I had.

Great Find, this eases my pain from coming from Cyanogen on my GS2, thanks alot
Sweet I upgraded from a Cappy too. I miss flashing RIMs but for now I'm good with stock. So much nicer than Touch Whiz!
I'll have to check this app out.

Some issues I've run into

Overall I'm definitely loving this phone
One thing I've noticed is that in a dark room this phone is ridiculously bright on auto
And that the high level of brightness are causing a little bit of color washout
Swype worked initially, I switched keyboards and then switched back now it shows up half the size it should be
(Another thing I hadn't realized is how many apps wouldn't be coded for ics yet, looking for native ics app suggestions)
(Also is there a way to make the battery in the notification bar have a percentage)
Is anyone else having these issues?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I agree with you on the brightness. Once we have the bootloader unlocked there are ways to change the auto brightness sensitivity. Same with the battery %.
The swype issue is an issue with the swype beta. I have already posted on their forums reporting the bug.
As for apps, they're being updated for ICS slowly but surely. Be patient

No I haven't seen that thread.
Swype alternatives? Nothing is quite the same as Swype, but Swiftkey X is pretty damn good for standard touch typing.
Idk I just find it surprising that even huge apps ex. Facebook haven't been updated yet. Then again barely any devices have ics so......

Actually the default keyboard is swipe enabled. I actually like it better because the auto correct seems to be more accurate. It had its flaws but it is great for swipe and touch typing whereas swype sucks for touch typing.

Just an fyi, if you use notification toggles, you get not only the toggles but you can also set the app icon in the status bar to show battery with percent . It's kinda a bandaid for now but it works for me till we can get some custom Rom goodness.

which is weird, but then again other apps have darker blues

Softkeys backlight as notification light

Dear,
Isn't it possible to use the softkeys backlight (apps, back and home) as notification light?
I have a one s with CM10 build 4 installed.
The reason why I wanna do this is because the notification light isn't always so 'clear'.
Is this possible?
Thx!

I know with older Samsung phones they had to build a kernal with a BLN mod in it and you could download the bln app and that would work. Not sure if that might work on HTC though...worth a shot, you might ask someone who builds our kernals about it.

We need something. The only thing I really get jealous of when I see a SGS3 is their notification light. Someone finally got it right.
TBH, the types of folks who can pull this off aren't trolling the Q&A forum. It's a great idea and I hope one of the true developers decides to look at the code, but a bunch of +1s aren't the answer. Maybe someone should start a kickstarter bounty

Check These Out!

About OdysseyHybrid:Odyssey is a simple clean and smooth rom with the basic features but none of the over the top extras.I feel as though a lot of custom roms take it to far and have so much to them that we can't use it all. We all love extras but there is a line that a lot of custom roms cross that seem to make them a little less user friendly. So we've created Odyssey. We will of course add lots more to this rom based on demand from users But all the while continuing down the path of simplicity. I plan on rapid releases and full support for this . I hope you all enjoy it..

It's the old Cyanogen Popup KB bug Josh. Just go to Settings/Language & Input and turn HW KB off. Your Popup KB will be right there.
I'm working on a flashable fix for that & a couple of minor things but right now am trying to figure out how to get APKTool compatible with JB 4.3. We'll get there though.....

Hey Matt. Sorry for the delay. I'm using APKToolv3 just like always but AGAIN Java updated me. I've gone back & brought everything up to date with each other (I thought..) but still get some compile errors. Happens on SOME 4.2.2 & all the 4.3's. I saw where one guy had a similar issue & got around it by decompiling with 1.4.2 & recompiling with 1.4.3...but just been covered up with stuff & haven't gotten back to experimentation......yet.

Someone else asked the developer that and his explanation was that at that time, it was the most advanced & updated 4.3 ROM. An explanation of "developer's choice" IMHO.
BTW....sorry about the delays. I've been so swamped at home AND at work it's just been tough to get much going other than that lately. Have faith, I promise I've been trying.
