Best for little ones?

So yesterday morning at 5:36 am,my little daughter was introduced to this crazy world. I was wondering,whats phone would give the best experience for taking photos,videos,easy uploading. Stuff like that. What's the best dad phone lol. Only my daughter has me wanting to give up my inspire because it dies three times while trying to take pictures and videos. So what ya think?

I would suggest you xperia arc it has a very nice camera and its very great looking it has fps cap removed and bravia engine or you can look up for the xperis ray it just came out it isnt bad neither !

My daughter is newborn. 1 day old,I just found it irritatintg to get to the camera and it died while taking pictures. Uploading to Facebook got a little annoying also. I'm thinking about and WP7 device but I think that will be too boring lol.

At&t. I've only used android,I'm hard core about it lol. I like the iPhone,but the screen just isn't big enough really. Also,I'm gonna be putting my inspire up for trade on here once I do decide what I want,so it will have to have the same value.

If it were my child I would be less concerned with features and more concerned with safety. I would look into which phone emits the least amount of EMF and begin my search there.

I think that's unlikely: CM is bigger than just Cyanogen these days.

Good for Steve! He deserves a great paying gig and I hope he helps shake up Samsung's interface design department.

Like I said. Samsung is changing the game and is the BEST Android manufacture. I know there are still some haters out there but your living in a dream world if you think HTC and LG are on the same level. Samsung is playing major league ball and LG and HTC just got sent back down to AAA.

Samsung might look good on paper, but their quality really does suck and those fancy screens dont last long in regards to battery life.
The only advantage to samsung is the screen technology. Outside of that they sacrifice usabilty and quality for external asthetics.

Their quality sucks in regards to what? Their mobile processors that have been leading the pack since the Hummingbird? Or their NAND memory that every other manufacture wants for their device? Oh wait. I know. Its their cameras eveb though Engadget just said the GSII has a better camera than any other phone in history besides the N95.
The SGSII actually has longer battery life than any Android device so far. I can also tell you that eveb though the phones are light, it does not mean their not durable. My Vibrant lasted through several drops and over 50 house fires. In those fires it got wet most of the time. My Nexus One however only survived 4 fires before it broke due to water damage. The phone would still turn on but the touch screen wouldn't work and I could see some water under the display. In the end, Samsung uses plastic for a reason. Cell signal along with WiFi signal more readily pass through it than it does through metals.

I've Put O3D on sale and pre ordered SIII

Finally, i've decided to sell this phone. It was all good on V20F and promethius rom but yesterday the fking wifi bug occurred again. THe battery was drained quickly by one process ti_wlan taking constant 48% cpu and no wifi.
As i was browsing about found the cheapest offer yet including delivery for SIII and ordered it. Cost about 446 british pounds including Fedex delivery.
Now i just hope i can sell o3d quickly.

Wish i coul'd buy an sgsIII :-( But unfortunetely i don't have enough money atm... well,i guess have to be satisfied with my o3d for now.

I had SGs, xperia arc... its all plastic. Horrible feeling when u hold it in your hand I prefere LG wit its weight and that 'phone' not toy feeling.
And can't understand people waiting for Ics. Had it on Sgs and its nothing new nothing revoutionary.Apart from few less important features ist basically same as GB

It's nothing new we get the idea but this phone might feel good certainly look good. But it has done my head in with ghost calls... And we all thought 21E was a fix but the other day it was an emergency and i called my brother 20 times in a row. He never answered went home and shouted my head off at him then he goes it never rang. I looked into his call history it didn't even show that i called him. And yes he was on stock V21E...
So guess what i did i took the phone placed it on the floor and got a hammer, blow touch and some petrol and a lighter..
and you can guess where the phone is now in LG HELL!!!
So maybe when they release ICS they can fix the GH problem...
Now my brother well i bought an S3 out right for him which should arrive on the 30th...
And my S3 is on contract with Vodafone win for me..

Man been using s3 for last 2 days and using o3d feels like using a phone from 10years back. S3 is plasticky but light as feather and the HD screen is amazing. Looking at lg after it feels like looking at a crt monitor after watching 1080p movie. It has 5 or 6 led lights which u can use an app like light flow to customize to reflect different events like set red for missed call green for charge complete white for chsrging blue for no signal u still hv orange and purple. Benched it and its fastest stock phone beating transformer prime by huge margin. Tons of other stuff and rooting is 1 min job and alresdy installed cmw and one beta rom by devs who dont even hv phone yet. They asking me to join them in help test more roms. So great community already working on this beast

Well good for u Still i would say that spending so much money just to have a better screen and few other improvements is just pointless. But im using my phone to work. I use mostly business apps and never even played the game or watched movie I use Slr camera to make picutres and I mostly read emails, send about 100-200 msgs a day and call a lot. I might want to have a bigger screen but apart from that im happy with LG. Most of the features SG s3 has is pointles for what I do. Im thinking to change for Google Galaxy S in near future jus for bigger screen.
I agree that the comunity for Samsung is huge and the best. Had SGs was very happy with it

[Discussion] Any alternatives to the Nexus 4?

I'm looking for an unlocked phone that wont break the bank, had high hopes for the new 6589 phones from China but between the 2GB RAM bugs and the subpar graphical performance (wasn't expecting much from the A7 cores from the start) combined with in most cases >$230~$299 prices for some of the actually good quality units (like the UMI) make me think the N4 is still the best bang for your buck out there.
Which is kind of sad given its not that new anymore and has that pain in the ass storage handicap, but the S4 Nexus being as expensive as an iphone5 is IMHO just too much money for a phone that might at best last 2 years before its effectively obsolete.
Frankly I can't find any alternatives to the N4 at that price range, can you?

Lg optimus g. There's many variants. There at&t variant has external SD plus internal SD. The lgog n the n4 are internally the same device. The lgog just had more options

The phone can be unlocked. Any gsm phone can be unlocked. There's also a Sprint variant, 2 Canadian variants, and a Korean variant. Pick your poising n unlock it.

Take nexus 7 ..

I know it can be unlocked, but I'm stuck with contract anyway, or have to pay full price which is much higher than the N4.

stick to the N4, you can't do much better with your money, or take a look at chinese phones but obviously you won't get the same support (custom rom)

I could reccomend the HTC ONE it's almost the same price

G3 is cool, but it won't have the same feel, definitely not as smooth as the m8.
Pros:
Better screen
Less bezel
Lighter
Better rear camera
Cons:
Worse battery life
Phone gets too hot faster
Stupid rear buttons
Worse front facing camera
Not as fast as sense
That's at least what I've been reading, I wouldn't switch. And who knows if it'll have an unlocked bootloader.

If the G3 were to get rooted and bootloader unlocked, I might consider it. Otherwise, no chance.

That "better" screen on the G3 is actually the cause of most of the cons you listed. It kills the battery and causes the phone to lag from the extra work it has to do to render it. The general consensus seems to be that the screen is actually the biggest fault in the phone, and a good 1080p screen could have made it perfect.

That was something I was aware of, power hungry screen = hot phone, less battery. Definitely not needed, but the resolution is a huge selling point for them. They wouldn't be able to get as many sales with the same quality screen as the S5 or M8. Samsung would wipe them clear off the map.

But I seen that Sony has unlockable bootloaders rt thru there own site...I wonder if VZW has enough pull with Sony like HTC to force sony to not allow VZW Sony devices to be unlocked ...as I seen that new Sony pad coming to VZW an I must say Sony ui is very nice an real fast an smooth. Does anyone know?
Also because you can Now as of yesterday use the edge to get pads from VZW..

You do realize Samsung Android devices account for the majority of all Android devices? Which is unfortunate, because they suck, but saying "You suck if you got beat by Samsung" is pretty inane.

A buddy just got the T-Mobile LG3 and we ran some benchmarks. Granted, this phone is 100% stock and I'm running GPE (not OC'd) on the M8 but he scored 22100 in Quad and I scored 24500. He scored 32000 in Antu and I scored 34000.
The LG3 is just a little too big for my taste. I have never owned an LG phone but my M7 was my first HTC. Was all Samsung before that. I'm sticking with my M8 until the M9 comes out and has S-Off.

Walk into a bs phone company pre paid. The shelves r full of low end Samsung devices that r a joke for only 50bucks or less. Makes sense they have majority off andriod devices.

A lot of the phones you can buy from the pre-paid carriers are cheap...what's your point? Not everyone can shell out $300 for a brand new phone. My cousin just bought a S3 because that's all he could afford (free being what he could afford).

Exactly, also the enhanced screen has not been taken advantage of.

I've had the m8 since launch and while I think its the smoothest phone ever made and is unlocked the wasted realestate just kills me. I can't wait to get the g3 on Thursday

My point is if u flood the market with tons of devices for free of course your going to have the most out there active in the market..as most people can't afford a high end phone an the government isn't buying them one of those.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about how people bash Samsung for making "cheap low cost" phones when there's a market for them as not everyone has the resources to shell out hundreds of dollars on a phone.
I applaud Samsung for reaching out to all types of consumers.
