I think that's unlikely: CM is bigger than just Cyanogen these days.
Good for Steve! He deserves a great paying gig and I hope he helps shake up Samsung's interface design department.
No way! That'd be awesome!
Thank deserves a well done.

Samsung might look good on paper, but their quality really does suck and those fancy screens dont last long in regards to battery life.
The only advantage to samsung is the screen technology. Outside of that they sacrifice usabilty and quality for external asthetics.

Their quality sucks in regards to what? Their mobile processors that have been leading the pack since the Hummingbird? Or their NAND memory that every other manufacture wants for their device? Oh wait. I know. Its their cameras eveb though Engadget just said the GSII has a better camera than any other phone in history besides the N95.
The SGSII actually has longer battery life than any Android device so far. I can also tell you that eveb though the phones are light, it does not mean their not durable. My Vibrant lasted through several drops and over 50 house fires. In those fires it got wet most of the time. My Nexus One however only survived 4 fires before it broke due to water damage. The phone would still turn on but the touch screen wouldn't work and I could see some water under the display. In the end, Samsung uses plastic for a reason. Cell signal along with WiFi signal more readily pass through it than it does through metals.

If you never had a Samsung Galaxy phone yet, coming from HTC, you will be disappointed. HTC's build quality is MUCH MUCH better compared to Samsung's lightweight plastic and material

Enjoy yer crapsong.....Or somthing
I don't known if it was just the display model but I thought it sucked.
Screen looked like crap, exactly like a Craptivate with a huge screen.
I was used the browser to look at xda and the experience was terrible.
Maybe it was just that model, I don't know.
The 2 nice things I noticed that sideloading was enabled and as big as the screen was, it didn't feel as big as it really was.

I tried a infuse that actually was working. My buddy bought one and he said its better cuz its light weight. Let me tell you, just like sgs, this phone feels like a cheap pos. This phone has a great screen but ill take build and quality over that screen anyday. His gps would reset using gps status app and it took atleast 76 seconds to lock on cold reset. Horrible and I'm in Dallas. Save the money,Samsung needs to stick with tvs and blu ray players. My two cents

...on my sons brand new htc sensation! I had a g1 before I picked up the vibrant last July. COMPLETELY forgot how fast and accurate htc's gps is. I'm in my house and it follows me around within approximately 10 feet. The vibrant on the other hand STILL takes forever to find a sat and then I'm lucky if it's within 50 feet. No contest.
The only strong point of samsung is the "vibrant" screen. But, it kills battery life and the qhd on the sensation is sharper even if not as vibrant.
That's my review. Goodbye samsung. Then again I won't upgrade for a year, so who knows!
But, so far, HTC is my next.

Exactly! I've been trying to justify a tablet and for me it just doesn't make sense. Anything I want to do that requires a bigger screen (than 4/4+ inches) I'd also want a keyboard. So, yeah, I kinda don't get the tablet craze.

Riptide is way cool on my 55" Sony. I gotta get a longer HDMI cable though, 6 foot ain't long enough.
P.S. Anyone who would receive a damaged phone for free then conceal the damage and attempt to return the phone for a new one is a thief pure and simple. If there were any justice at all those actions would result in prosecution and incarceration.
Perhaps you should make your way to a public square where you can smash the windows out of a T-Mobile store and just take whatever you want. After all, those rich bastards deserve it don't they?
We are doomed.

Not to be an ass, but isn't LG a thief? They sold us a phone with software that is horrible. Some of us who rely on our phones for simple task such as an alarm are late for work when the phone freezes. T-Mobile sold most of us a so called unlimited plan, but we get data throttled. T-Mobile claims 21+mbps, but no one has seen speeds anywhere close to that. I guess everyone is a thief. To each his own.

You're definitely right about two wrongs don't make it right, but I highly doubt that T-Mobile will buckle down that much on phones getting replaced especially since they know that the G2x has ton of software issues. The best thing T-Mobile and LG can do is to just make it right. It wasn't for the devs on XDA then we'd be ass'd out.

That's my main beef with the iPhone...who wants their phone to look the exact same 5 years from now?? I just find it boring as hell. And WAY too thick.
You know what's funny about Apple though, they fight tooth and nail to get Android off the shelves and say their software is the key point of their pitch but they neglect to mention all of Googles' features they use on a regular basis for one when you search for anything on an apple device it uses Google, can't blame them there right.
Now their saying their new 3d maps are going to beat Googles Maps but G Maps has been in beta for a few years now, they know what works and what doesn't but if Apple wants to give it a go then it should be interesting.
I'll stick with this device, there will always be something wrong somewhere with anything some one has, nothing is perfect otherwise there wouldn't be competitors.

Strange, I still wish that my One S could match my old iPhone call quality and network reception and I wish I woukd not have to use a second phone to use Skype...
I'm away right now and I have to use Skype to make all my calls, I can tell you that sometime I just get enough annoyed that I just change my SIM card...

My nexus can do all of the above. Also unlocked bootloader is a cinch. Also open source. Completely.

That's the way it's headed anyway...Google is about to blow the provider model out of the water with their next gen Nexus devices (which should even put your mighty gen1 Nexus to shame), working directly with more manufacturers and selling directly to consumers. And I can't wait...I think they'll be doing all us Android users a big favor, longterm.
Apple really good in steal ideal and make it better than the original one. if you look at notification bar on iphone, it's really nice and i think it does better job than our android notification. I also like their notification badge/alert/ pop up for message/mail/FB... Still i can get popup app from play store but i want some thing that come from the operating system itself... I takes android phone because it's open, not because it better than iphone.
Yeap...open source FTW!!

Skype is working on an update for the program, should address "most" issues. Tmob says it's the program but I think it maybe there network where I am for my issues with it.
