Hi guys ! I bought my eee pad 2 months ago, and yesterday i came home i put it on the bed, it jumped and felt on the ground... It was about 30 cm high and it was closed with the docking station. I took it ( i was relaxed) i was sure there is no way to be something wrong but i opened it and it doesn't wanted to start.. there is nothing broken but the displey is showing only the logo of asus in 2 or 3 colors all over the display like flashing... and that's it Please help me ,give me advice or something....
PS:sorry for my english..
Sorry - sounds like you need RMA....

RMA = Return Merchandise Authorization.
It means you need to contact Asus and make arraignments to send your Transformer in for repairs.
I doubt that physical damage will be covered under warranty, but if you are willing to pay for the repairs, Asus should be able to fix it.
My littlw brother got me a tf300t and the screen broke while in his bag.
Im not in the us (venezuela) and i cant seem to find any replacement screens online or any teardown guides or pics.
Has anyone tried shipping it back to asus? How expensive was the repairs? I can send it with someone to the us to have it repaired.

That's weird, then they need to update their info since it says in the asus support page that they do work with the EEE Pad Family.

I'm sure its a little pre-mature since it just came out here in the U.S. yesterday but, has anyone heard anything about the tf700 getting the bootloader unlocking tool? My tf700 is on its way here now, and all thought I'm sure its great stock, I have to have my custom rom's.

No definites, but I read on here yesterday that the Prime got it within a month, so I would wager that by early August things will get up and running.

I remember the Prime got it in about a month. The forums were flipping out though, they couldn't handle not having it yet, so Asus put it out there.
I came here to ask if the bootloader is locked. This makes me sad. I'm not willing to lose my hardware warranty to flash roms. This, plus the lack of micro-usb and the use of nvidia will force me to buy something else.
It's a shame, the tablet is amazing in every other way.

What are you talking about. Every single Android device starts with a locked bootloader when it's released. ASUS has been pretty quick with unlocking tools so far.

His issue is more that the warranty is voided than it shipping locked. To which I agree with him, but its not a dealbreaker since literally the only devices that DONT do that are the Nexus devices.

If your willing to spend a extra $60, buy a squaretrade warranty for two years. Everything is covered, even if you drop it in a pool. On something this expensive, $60 for two years of awesome insurance is pretty cheap. They don't mind a unlocked bootloader either.
ASUS's statement is that you MAY lose your warranty after doing this, not that you WILL. In this respect they don't diverge much from HTC or - I believe - Samsung (not that I'm ASUS's fanboy, just saying). Search xda forums, there was a bunch of people who got their Primes fixed on warranty's conditions after unlocking, rooting and going into a bootloop.
I have never seen a confirmed case of a mfr denying hardware warranty for rooting, unlocking or flashing roms. I've returned/rma'd several defective devices with one or more of those attributes. Now if you brick it flashing then all bets are off.
Also, so you don't like nvidia, cant live with propritary usb connector(micro usb can't charge this baby anyway), and cant deal with unlocking bootloader. Just exactly what tablet are you going to buy that doesnt have any of those issues and isn't 49.99 from china?
Microusb charges tablets just fine. My touch pad, for example, has it.
I'll wait?

Like everyone is saying, You can still get warranty service for hardware issues even if your unlocked. The only downside to unlocking is ASUS won't give your tablet OTA updates, but you can still download and flash the firmware from the asus support website. And chances are if you're unlocked, you're not using the stock firmware.
I think asus has to use their own proprietary plug that to make it work with the dock. You are still given a cable which plugs into your transformer on one end and into a usb port on the other end, so so lack of microusb is really a non-issue.
Don't understand what's wrong with Nvidia, most of the issues so far seem to be software related. Tegra also comes with some nice bells and whistles.

I assume the power throughput needed to charge the two relatively large batteries at once pretty much excludes microUSB charging cables (which use standardized maximum power on the pins). For smaller battery capacity, less-capable tablets, such as, with all respect, your TouchPad, it's indeed fine. What are you waiting for, if I may ask? Till, somewhere, somehow, ASUS decides to heed your lonely call for microUSB and ditches it on newer iterations (or units) of the Infinity? Just kidding, obviously, but the question still stand, especially when you couple it to the (pretty much sure-fire near-)future availability of the unlocked bootloader.

Sorry but that is incorrect. The Asus warning and agreement is very clear on this. If you unlock your bootloader they basically have nothing for you what so ever. Hardware included.

I know the warning says otherwise, but people have still managed to get their ulocked transformers fixed. Either asus has somehow decided to still do hardware repairs, or the warranty centers put off checking the devices. I personally wouldn't count on it. Make sure your transformer is issue free before unlocking, and don't send it in just because you bricked it.(which shouldn't be possible unless you tried to overwrite the bootloader and lost fastboot)
I'm just saying the odds are if your unlocked, you're still going to get warranty service.
---noob warning---
Since no bootloader unlocking tool is available, does that mean I can't even flash a stock rom?
Got mine from China and itching to get US or UK or whatever rom on it, but I can't seem to find anything in the forum
I believe you already got a response to that in another thread.

Thanks for your reply, and for the write-up you did in the other thread.
I had already read it when I posted here but it isn't clear to me - probably my bad, I'm used to flashing my Samsung Galaxy S (1&3) but I've never done it on a tablet and it seems different. I haven't found any clear instructions on doing so for the TPI.
I get that you used SuperCharger V6, it didn't work and froze up your tablet, then you got it to work as you described.
So, I don't know if I still need to use SuperCharger (which from what I gather is not a modified rom??) or just copy the files you mentioned to the SDcard, and once the files are copied how to get to recovery mode and if root is even required :s
I'm very sorry if these things seem obvious to you all, but the TPI forum is still a bit empty and I couldn't find this info here. Don't even know if what works for the Prime will work for Infinity so I'm not sure I should go digging there as well.
Hi when I read on manga watcher app before I installed CROMI scrolling was always very laggy, afterwards however scrolling was smooth as hell! How come asus does not make there device this smooth themselves when it is clear it can be done?

Cos we know secrets they don't
I don't know - there is so much info on here that you'd think Asus would make use of some of it.... Maybe they are bound by contract to keep it Google approved? Who knows?

I agree with you. Asus as a company probably wants to keep things proprietary and innovate themselves? You also must remember that Asus must please a user base of non technical people and with the tweaks Sbdags uses it could possibly cause more complications but who really knows. I personally asked Tien this but he did not really answer. Browser 2 ram though? What kind of complication could it have? But I guess with android being able to use widgets they want to keep as much ram free as possible? IDK

No, they don't. That's conspiracy thinking. D'you really think those, what, 500 users out of the hundreds of thousands are worth creating a scam for? Do you realize that a voided warranty repair ticket causes more paperwork, costs and trouble than one that is covered by the warranty? The unlock tool is there only grudgingly.

From what I recall of the Usage License companies have to sign with Google, they are not allowed to tweak the system. A different skin, yes, but not the internal functioning of Android itself.
I am starting to think that Ipad might be the best option when it comes to tablets still since they are abolutly alot smoother, but then I think how easy it is to transfer data from the pc to the tablet for android that I change my mind

I do not know where to post this but here, as there is no ME301T forum.
My Asus ME301T has a small slightly brighter spot on the screen. It is the backlight of the screen, not something else.
The spot is about 5 - 7 mm in diameter.
The tablet was purchased around September 2013 and should have warranty.
It is rooted, but this was rooted using a ... security issue (?)...
Is this a know fault?
Is this covered by warranty? And repaired without problems?
I would certainly try to get it repaired under guarantee

Thank you for the answer.
But do you know if it is repaired without problems?
Or does Asus have a bad service?
Send it in for repair! I bricked my tablets touchscreen once ( it was unlocked and had cyanogenmod on it) and they repaired it for free xD

Hello I have read this post and I could not say no p my experience After the white lines (quoted in my other post) I found this today. The great thing about that after hours I was able to understand that:By tilting the tab holding it in your hand horizontally and the bubble disappears! Unbelievable but true.:good:

Thank you for your answer, but I do not understand.
Did you experience good things with ASUS support or not?
Because there is one thing I do not want:
Send it in, and Asus says "Its my fault, pay 100 bucks to get the tablet back unrepaired or pay 250 for repair.
Thats why I am asking.

Hello I solved the problem slightly tilted the screen is gone and when it returns to bend a little and go!
(Practically holding it horizontally make slight movement up and down).
I also contact Asus and with unlocked bootloader takes money.I do not understand why, since it is a hardware problem .. and then with other tablet brand (Mediacom, Majestic) lower in the fixed helping me!
