Facebook Birthdays not showing in google calendar anymore - General Questions and Answers

I exported facebook birthdays to Google Calendar a while back. Since I dropped HTC Sense (which has its own facebook sync built in) I've been using this method to sync facebook contacts' birthdays to my android device(s) and never had problems. But suddenly, I don't know since when exactly, "Friends' Birthdays" are no longer shown in Google Calendar. So I can't see them nor in the desktop version of Google Calendar nor on my mobile devices. Well, I can see one: my own birthday This means they are shown, but the sync doesn't work for all contacts.
Is Facebook's timeline interfering? Anyone else with this problem?

Google Calendar

I just installed Agenda One and it's calendar synchronize just with internal Outlook calendar, not Google Calendar.
Is there any way how to synchronize Google Calendera with the Vox smartphone?
Thx.
re
Found it. This one is working great:
http://www.codeplex.com/gmobilesync/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=4142
i used that app and it didn't work well for me.. when i would post something on goggle calendar it wouldn't update on my phone or vise versa.. but goosync works really well and it uses SSL encryption http://www.goosync.com/ anyway i recommand that one to sync goggle calendar
I'm using GMobileSync 1.3 , works OK, atleast sometimes. I get double meetings and stuff sometimes
Google Calendar Sync
5 March 2008 Google Calendar Sync allows you to sync events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar.
http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=89955
You can now access your Google Calendar account from your mobile phone! Just visit mobile.google.com/calendar/ with your phone's web browser and once you're logged in, you'll see your list of upcoming events with date and time information in an easy-to-browse format.

[Q] integrated facebook contacts

it seems my integrated facebook account will sync the calendar but not the contacts. anyone else with this problem?
i have a feeling it is on the facebook side because i'm coming from a captivate. when i look on my facebook page under Apps, it shows Samsung Mobile, but it says "6 months ago". I think facebook is confused between my old Samsung Mobile and my new one.
i think i figured it out. google supposedly changed the way you have to access android contacts forcing facebook to update their app. and consequently, the facebook app syncs just fine......but contacts only, there is no option to sync calendar.
the "integrated contact account" (that syncs facebook contacts and calendar even without the facebook app installed) fails on contact sync. the problem is this "integrated account" has not been updated (obviously because it was bundled with android 2.2). the "integrated account" synced just fine on my last phone that had android 2.3

[Q] Can you sync birthdays in your contacts with calendar

Hi All
My calendar is currently displaying all the birthdays from FB contacts, but i would also like it to display birthdays of contacts who aren't on FB. Can this be done and if so how?
Thanks
MinaNZ
I add in manually the birthdays of the contacts I want. Hit edit and there should a spot for it, or at least a area for notes (put the birthday there) I've only just gotten my Sensation but on my Nexus S and Nexus One there is an entry for birthdays. Sorry if that isn't what you were looking for.
Sent from either my N1, NS, or Sensation4G....
It's been my experience that if you sync with outlook & you have a birthday listed on a contact it'll sync to the calendar too.
sent from HTC Sensation
Most of my contacts are sync from FB and the calendar displays the birthdays in FB. However i have a few contacts who don't have FB pages and i have entered their birthdays in manually in the people app. My calendar automatically displays the birthdays of my FB contacts but not the birthdays of people without FB that i have manually entered in the people app. I don't have any birthdays in my gmail and i haven't sync to my outlook as that is my work email and have no birthdays on there either. So i want the birthdays i have manually entered in the people app to display in my calendar. Can this be done automatically or do i have to enter each one manually.
Not sure if you have seen my other post, but when i enter birthdays in manually in the people app it doesn't display the correct day. For example if i manually enter 14th July 1965 and save the contact, i then displays 15th July 1965. So it's always a day ahead.

It works for me too. However, if I create the Contact on the phone with birthday included and then sync with Outlook, the contact will be created on Outlook, but w/o the birthday and will thus neither show the birthday on Outlook Calendar nor on the Phone Calendar.
Very strange.

interesting. I guess I should've stated that was when using WM, haven't tried it on Android like that. Good to know. I'll have to test this as well.

Calendar Sync

So I am a bit confused about Calendar syncing in WP7, and I keep getting different answers.
I am strongly thinking about getting a WP7 phone.
However the most important feature to me is my calendar. I use my calendar for my personal, and business use and rely on it heavily.
My calendar at home syncs with my google calendar, and my calendar at work syncs with my google calendar, which right now syncs with my phone. Basically any change I make on my calendar on any of my devices changes them over all of my calendars.
I also have my calendar syncing with my family's google calendar, and my wifes family's google calendar.
If your in google calendar and you see "My Calendar" all of my sections are broken down (work, home, church, etc). They are all in my calendar. Nothing is is "Other Calendar"
Will i be able to see and sync all of those events and change them etc from a WP7 phone?
I know only your Primary calendar syncs, but is that everything listed under my calendar, or is it just "work" for example?
Thank you
Regardless of how many calendars you have in Google Calendar, you only have 1 primary calendar. This is usually the one named 'Calendar'. Only this one calendar can sync to your Windows Phone due to Google actively blocking Windows Phone 7 devices.
Each one of those entries under My Calendar is a separate calendar, Google just shows them in a single Calendar view for your convenience. You still only have 1 primary calendar, and that's the only one that will sync at the moment.
Once Mango comes out, there is a trick you can do to activate multiple calendars to be sync'd to your device.
So it looks like i need to wait for mango to be released before I do anything about getting a WP7 phone. Thank you for the information.

Calendar Problems

I am having problems syncing all my calendars. I sync two google accounts with multiple calendars in each (my calendars). The problems is, that the second google account does not show all the calendars on the phone in calendar.
Also, I use Agenda Widget that I use as a calendar replacement. Under its options, it actually lists the missing calendars, but even if i check them, they do not show up.
So I deleted a bunch of my calendars that I use less, hoping that maybe it was something like it only allows a certain number of calendars. The second account will only sync the main calendar, not the other calendars i have under "my calendars"
I just upgraded from a myt3g running yoshi, and I did not have this problem with either the calendar or the agenda widget app.
tldr; my phone only syncs my primary calendar and nothing else from "my calendars"
