Google Calendar Sync
5 March 2008 Google Calendar Sync allows you to sync events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar.

You can now access your Google Calendar account from your mobile phone! Just visit mobile.google.com/calendar/ with your phone's web browser and once you're logged in, you'll see your list of upcoming events with date and time information in an easy-to-browse format.

If someone built a WM5/AS4 app to sync with Google Calendar, I'd pay towards the development.
Anyone else?

As per title anyone aware of a way to link google calendar to your ppc,
either pocketbrezze or your standard pim etc
ta
I have seen readers, but these do not sync with the internal calendar, which I assume you want to do (as I do too).
I am really surprised there is no simple way to sync an ical profile with either Outlook or Pocket Outlook.
I know you can sync with a public profile on your desktop, but I doubt everyone wants to make their calendars public, and still doesn't help for people on the move.
An alternative would be to stop using Google Calendar for now until more solutions are available, and set-up a Live Mail2Web account, and simply use their Outlook Web Access for your calendar needs, and put the sync profile in your Activesync.
http://live.mail2web.com
It's the only good all round solution to online contacts backup, calendar sync, and push mail, and all from one provider, and free of charge too.
Nice one mate ill look into that
Remote Calendars
I've been using an open source program called Remote Calendars.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/remotecalendars/
it synchs your google calendar to outlook which can then be synched to your PPC.
you can also synch the other way (i.e. put something in your PPC and have it transferred to Google)
it's not a perfect system but it's the best i've found
Am I right in thinking you still have to make your calendar public for this application to work though?
No google calendars have two addresses:
a public one - which you can disable and
a private one - which you should never give to anyone else or publish anywhere
you can get your private address from the Calendar Details page of the settings menu. this is what you use for Remote Calendars
so your calendar is still private (or shared with family & friends etc)
woohhhoooooooo
Google Calendar Sync
This only works for main calendar:

Hello,
I have a problem using Google calendar from my s710, ultimate I would like to get oggsync to work but it seems I can't even log in to Google calendar via IE or Opera on my phone. I just get an "oops, your calendar is not available right now" error.
Did some searching and found that I need NETCF sp 2 to get it to work, however it seems like that is already installed on mine. Atleast that is what the cab says when I try to install it.
Anyone has any ideas?

Today it works to log in via IE but oggsync still don't work. Tried gmailsync 1.3 instaed and got it working
Now I can edit my calendar on Google via a desktop computer and sync it over without having to edit stuff directly on the phone. My hands are not designed to push the phonebuttons so much hehe.

not really necessary to reply to every google sync thread.
Hmm .. anyone get this error before (using a TILT with Dutty's rom).
"Unknown error (Parsing failed)"
Getting it with both Gmobilesync and the ActiveGcSync. Also GCalSync.
The ICS calendar app won't sync with Outlook and there is no option to add an Outlook account - only Google and Exchange. Is there another apk that will fix this issue so I can add an Outlook account?
touchdown
I use touchdown app in active sync mode for that, which is a nice outlook ui anyway. May be some custom roms come with the proper encryption support if you search.
I use Google Calendar Sync(http://support.google.com/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=89955), it's installed on my desktop, and sync's with Google Calendar, so when my device sync's with Google Calendar, I'm good to go. Been using it for a long time now and works great
I can't use Google mail, contacts or calendar due to the security issues of using cloud storage for sensitive information.
I wonder if using the calendar app from froyo will work. It synced directly with Outlook.
I'll give Touchdown a look. Thanks for the suggestions.
