Dear All,
I have just installed Andromadus mimicry 1.5 on my HTC desire Z.
In the performance section, the phone is configured by default to have minimum 386Mhz and max 1209Mhz.
When I try to change these settings to min 245 Mhz and max 1516, the phone accepts the settings for a few minutes, and then revert back to the default. I know these settings work correctly on my phone, since I've moved from CM7 before, and has no problem.
I have tried rebooting, reflashing the ROM, and the issue remains.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any solutions?
Thx.
You have changed Rom only or with karnel also?
it is possible that new karnel doesn't support that range..
You should try to check your governors
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.

Thanks for your prompt feedback Shivam.
Well, I changed the ROM and installed the kernel that was supplied with it.
The governor setting doesn't stick either, and it reverts back to SmartassV2 as well after some time.

I'm pretty sure that is the Infusion kernel. If you read the rest it should say [email protected] # infusion gb
I'd suggest downloading Voltage Control and seeing what options you have in there. You'll know you installed it correctly if you see speeds up to 1600 in there. Plus it's a good tool if you want to Under Voltage a little bit to help on battery life.
Kernel Version number is 2.6.35.7-1997RUXKG3-CL366622 for infusion 1.1. Your good.

Actually that version string is useless for determining which kernel you're running other than "based on Rogers Gingerbread" - since the proprietary Samsung modules force kernel devs to avoid doing anything that modifies that string. (Modify that string = device will not boot.)
The best way to figure out which kernel you're running are:
1) Featureset. If you have frequencies higher than 1200 MHz you're running Infusion as it's the only overclock kernel there is. If you have netarchy-style voltage control but no overclock, you're likely on my Daily Driver. If you have neither, you're probably on Hellraiser or the stock Infused ROM kernel.
2) Build username/host of the kernel to determine who built it. If you look back through my posts you should find one with a list of a few known user/host combos for various kernel devs.
Thanks for the replies guys! I checked in my voltage control i have the 1600mhz in there but i dont really know how to set them... ive looked around i did something but im not sure if thats the best set up. I sitll do not know if i am running on infusion 1.1 i have infused 2.1 for sure but not sure about the kernel. Anyway thanks for the reply guys the help is much appreciated but IF you can help me figure out this voltage thing it'll be great! Also i have downloaded the tranzfusion theme and i dont really like it is there anyway i can delete it?

If you installed 1.1 and voltage control tells you can OC to 1600 then you have 1.1 installed. People use different setups for the Overclocking. use Cfq as scheduler and Ondemand as governor. make sure you turn on 1600 by hitting the red button next to it if you already havent. dont use more than 5-6 mhz speeds at one time. I use 200 400 800 1200 1600.
Just to the OP...the easiest way to me to flash a kernel is simply by downloading SGS Kernel Flasher, selecting the kernel, and flashing it. It's about as painless as you can get.
Thanks for the replies guys much appreciated !
Hi everyone,
I have weird issue, screen don't want to go into sleep mode.
I tried to change settings: 15s, 30s, 45s. Still the same.
After reboot it work correctly but only few hours.
I don't want flash my rom again becouse I've set everything after yesterday flash. :crying:
My configuration:
Android Revolution HD 6.7.2
CPU OC 1782 MHz
GPU - 320 MHz
Kernel SebastianFM 1.5.2
Installed extensions:
Adreno Drivers 2.18
ics_small_89-fronts
(6.7.x_XE)battery_fix(norecent,eqs2,4gicons)
Ultra smooth Rosie
JellyBean Animations
Any idea what should I do, guys ?
You likely have a application that's preventing your device from sleeping. Check permissions on your applications and you will find the culprit. Best wishes.also when installing apps look at what the developers say in certain apps it will clearly state PREVENT Device from sleeping. Hope this helps.

You can use "Battery use" to see which app is using your battery. Try killing the apps that are running, until you find which is causing it.
I've formated SD (long format) and flashed rom again, .
I try to use clean rom few hours and check if the issue is still.
Just install DualCore-rc8
BTW. Do u thing OC can do this problem ?
My phone worked stable on maximum CPU frequency - 1832 MHz and 320 MHz GPU

I don't think OC can cause this problem but then I think 1832Mhz is way too high and may cause instability to your phone, try to tune it down. In fact there won't be a significant performance improvement even if you OC it so high. Not worth frying your phone's CPU for that insignificant gain.
It's a application like I said that's preventing your device from sleeping! Find that app and your issue will be resolved.

I work now on clean rom with just OC apps. All day everything was OK.
Tomorrow I try to install "DarkForest Tweaks 3.33 Base RC 3.0.1" again and I will see then becouse I think it could couse a problem.
Thanks mates :good:

If only you had mentioned you had installed that in the OP...
Or better still, read the last 2-3 pages of my thread, its all there.
I think its my modded messages.apk and I posted a stock unmodded one (actually when I say stock, that is a lie because it is the apk from my ROM and as such has gone through 3-4 apk optimization scripts) in the last 1-2 pages in the thread which seems to have fixed this
Hello everyone!,
I have facing alot issues on AOSP based roms(such as CM10.1/2 etc).Alot slow downs, lags,Instability, freezes, glitch etc.Why is it caused ? or it just a Rom problem ?
PS: My previous device Galaxy gio runs CM10/.1 flawlessly.

I need some more information about this. Did you change CPU settings? Have you made a full wipe before flashing? because for me it works great.
Here's some information.
CPU : 1728MHZ with badass governor
Min.CPU : 382mhz
Tweaks : None!
Always Wipe before installation of Roms.

Usually 1728Mhz works, but it could cause instability. Try lowering it to 1566Mhz and see what happens. you can also try another governor.
Did you also change the voltage?

^1. I am not sure but I think read CM 10.1/2 come undervolted (as they're light roms) and 1782 might be unstable (it has worked for me).

Exactly what I said. Let's wait for OP to post his result.
1728mhz frequeny works flawlessly on ViperS 3.1.2/1.6.3 without any instability issues.I think the problem is that that i wipe before installation, therefore i need to install the rom first and then do a wipe,Am i right?

Nope, you should wipe before.
CPU frequency could work on one kernel and not on the other. For example, my siter's former phone, LG Optimus One could overclock to 728Mhz with most kernels. Then came a kernel that could overclock further and be stable at around 800Mhz. Each kernel has a different max frequency, although it's listed, it might not be stable. As Far_Sight said, the kernel might be undervolted, that might mean that overvolting it may allow for the frequency, but I don't suggest it. Performance is great even on 1188Mhz (I put it that way for myself to save battery).
Hi, I am running slimbean 4.3.1 and the blackhawk kernel on my p5113. I have successfully oc'd the CPU (its in the settings so it was easy). However, I don't see where I can set the GPU to a certain frequency. I have done a lot of searching, but without results.
Could someone please help me out with this? Thanks!

brother you can only overclock cpu not gpu
only what you can do regarding gpu is that you can check force gpu rendering settings in developer options

I disagree with you partially, you can oc gpu too. You can do it by changing manually which i did last time months ago because i have been using TricksterMOD, but it seems like after 2.1.5(?) update to kernel you can't do it anymore with it, so i use older version of next kernel what op is using.
EDIT: Actually i solved the problems and now it works with latest version using TricksterMOD!
Btw im on Cm 10.2 as you can see.

Now Id be posting in teh Vengeance kernel thread, but that requires me to have 10 posts. I don't. Now, after flashing Shivang Dave's Vengeance Reloaded my baseband became like this "7x25A_M:ERROR_A:ERROR". Will that cause any problems? Other than that the phone works very well overclocked to 1.3 GHz.
So my next question is about Pure Performances X and Pure Audio 2. One of them causes my phone to turn off at 10% battery, and as a whole show the wrong percentages. Anyone knows such a problem?

First try reflashing your baseband. if it s working properly there might not be anything wron with it . but just reflash it to be safe
I have used pure audio so i m not sure but i ve been using pure performance and my phone is working perfectly. did u turn on any power savers
flash baseband and that will go away... it will mot create any issues...
i think baseband 7x25A_M:ERROR_A:ERROR is not a problem, but the problem is in my miro, i got FC when open contact and then when i open it again all my contact is gone,
Governors : OndemandX
IO Shedulers : sio
Frequencies: 245 Mhz - 1.008 Ghz
is anyone have same problem
I used Flashtool, excluded anything but baseband and flashed, yet the issue did not go away! :/
As for the pure performance, ill flash them one by one to see in which one the problem is.

When I flash your kernel I see change in the signal strength. While It's full at the moment, with the Error baseband the signal gets twice as weak.
So I start up flashtool, connect the phone, choose the firmware for the phone and choose to flash only the baseband. The problem still persists,
however. I mean, are there any other files I should copy before flashing the new kernel and pasting them in the phone later?
