Install EZRecovery or flash it via ROM Manager.
Where can I find Ez recovery, I do not have a registered rom manager as I am broke.

....the play store. You can get either for free..
You are rooted right?
I use EZRecovery and its an absolute must have for the "ROOTED" user. Along with CWM 6.0.1.0...a great combo to have!!

Let me guess: no backup or anything?
if you have back up try restoring it from recovery...if you dont then reinstall the rom again from recovery.(wipe cashe data..system) should work just fine...at least is what i did in my nexus s..when i did this mistake..
Are your recovery and rom stock or custom? Cyanogenmod, CWM recovery etc...
If I were you, I would install CWM recovery for your phone and then install some custom rom, they are just awesome
Thx
Thank you all!!!
same problem
i have the same problem my phone just gets stuck with the google screen, but I already had cwm recovery installed but when I try to install cm9 or even cm7 its says that it cant open the package and the installation gets aborted. should Itry using the wug toolkit to flash the zips. and am i supposed to install sabra root toolkit on my phone...??? thanks.
using volume- and power, it boots into stock recovery. I used xboxexpert- root/cwm touch recovery script to root. No cwm? I have searched. sero7 4.2.1 I used quick boot and it also goes into stock recovery. Could this problem be caused by a software update?

X-part, says it is for Sony Xperia phone. I am working on a Hisense sero7 pro tablet. I am reluctant to use this app on my tablet. It would be nice if it would install cwm. Thanks for the reply.
Tried rooting again, hoping for the install of cwm from the process. no luck. any ideas?
t think you should Reroot again
Or úse code to get in CMW:good:

Yes, I installed the recent software update. So, that is the problem! I ran the rooting script again and no luck-no cwm. Tablet-Hisense sero7 pro.

when I clicked on "install or update recovery", it said my device is not supportd and asked if I had installed a cwm based recovery manually
what do I do now?
ps: when I clicked yes it asked me which version - 2x + or 3x + so didn't know wat to do ..

custom recoveries are the base for rooting and installing custom roms. I am quite surprised by how you managed to root successfully without installing a custom recovery.
My kind advice dont do anything without proper knowledge.
U can find clockworkmod recovery on the playstore
u can find all ur answers here in the xda forums
so read well before u flash
no dude , I got the cwm rom manage from the play store.. the trouble comes when I try to set up "custom recovery".. the thing is , cwm doesn't support my device and it requires me to manually install a cwm based recovery.. which I don't know how to do.. so any instructions on how to do that (or some alternative to cwm ) would be really helpful
thanks

then try installing the latest version suggested by the rom mangaer.
You could also try the twrp recovery. These recoveries support the rom manager
hope i helped

Are those 2 apps using same binary ?
Can I simply replace SuperSU apk in system/apps/ with ChainsDD superuser app, or I must something additionally ?
Thanks !
I think they are different binaries

Install the new superuser will prompt you to delete the old one. BTW "SuperSU" is the very best superuser access tool ever made in my opinion
Why not just uninstall the superuser first and then Flash the laster SuperSU

Man, even with S-ON you can flash ANY superuser app via custom recovery. May I ask why u prefer another app and NOT SuperSU???

I don't know. I always used Superuser (app) on my older phones and I am somehow used to it. I tried to flash it but then dead android appears (if you know what I mean) and it says instalation failed. I downloaded Superuser.zip from their official website

Can you flash the SuperSU zip? Just for figuring out whats the problem with the recovery...
If your recovery causes the error, you can choose another one HERE

Means its not caused by S-ON. You just need a flashable zip of your superuser tool. But installing via play store is th easier choice i think.
Hi, friends
I'm trying to install a custom recovery in the samsung j1 Ace 110L, but I'm not been succeed. I've tried to install CWM through the Rom Manager, and it told me that it isn't compatible with the model.
I've tried to install TWRP with Flashify and with Odin, and in both cases I've got a boot loop (and I restored the device later).
In the TWRP website says that is compatible with J1 Ace, but in my variant-model specificly is not working.
Any ideas?

Looks like TWRP is not compatible with the L or H models of that phone. Only thing you can do is root at least, using CFAutoroot

Hi, friend, well, my phone is already rooted. I've already downloaded this CFAutoRoot, but it will have some utility for me?
Thanks for reply.

Well if you root your device you can backup apps/data. The only thing you won't be able to do is make full nandroids and flash custom ROMs (which there are none of for your device)
