Custom Recovery for Samsung J1 Ace 110L? - Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Questions & Answers

Hi, friends
I'm trying to install a custom recovery in the samsung j1 Ace 110L, but I'm not been succeed. I've tried to install CWM through the Rom Manager, and it told me that it isn't compatible with the model.
I've tried to install TWRP with Flashify and with Odin, and in both cases I've got a boot loop (and I restored the device later).
In the TWRP website says that is compatible with J1 Ace, but in my variant-model specificly is not working.
Any ideas?

Looks like TWRP is not compatible with the L or H models of that phone. Only thing you can do is root at least, using CFAutoroot

Hi, friend, well, my phone is already rooted. I've already downloaded this CFAutoRoot, but it will have some utility for me?
Thanks for reply.

Well if you root your device you can backup apps/data. The only thing you won't be able to do is make full nandroids and flash custom ROMs (which there are none of for your device)

Thats a good question,....
Have you tested this CWM:
How to ROOT Galaxy Note 10.1 3G/Wifi! [N8000/N8013/N8010]
Download you Firmware from SamMobile.com ... test the CWM and if it not work Reflash your ROM with the SamMobile Files.... i cant test it because i have an N8000 ... but i want to know if its work too?
I Think it works... because N8000, N8010, N8013 have the same Recovery... So why should the N8020 have another? I think it is the same....
Please give me a Feedback!
Ok, it worked, with the CWM File, great idea.

Tried this on my 8020. The rooting process (method 2) indicate that all goes well but when booting up it is not rooted. Running JB 4.1.2, any ideas?

I can only access CWM directly after flashing with Odin. When I booting after installing the zip all is normal, no root. If I now try to reboot into CWM I end up in the default bootmenu..
Can not access the internal SD card from CWM, says "can´t open..". Only the external SD card which I formatted in fat32 is accessible..
Now here is a working CWM for the N8020 Device!!

If you have the OJ2 build there is no way to make it, still waiting for good news. I tried several ways but none of them worked.

How do I root with stock 5.1??

I've tried flashing twrp with odin and it doesn't work. I get errors like 0success/0fail. How do I root after upgrading my firmware to lollipop? The other threads on this haven't helped me. Also, when I try to use odin to flash the recovery files then reboot it says there were firmware issues and then I have to reflash the stock firmware from Samsung again to get the tablet to boot. This makes me think maybe you can't root lollipop on the note 10.1 yet?? Any help will be appreciated.
Update recovery to latest version and flash SuperSU.zip
So flash recovery via odin then use twrp to flash SuperSU?

yes i don't know how to flash a zip without a custom recovery. I've tried flashing supersu, and two different roms made for rooting lolipop on the note and everything i flash involving root makes it bootloop.

Similar Situation
I also have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (from USCellular) and I rooted it using Framaroot, which I downloaded onto my tablet from the Google play store. Before using Framaroot, I tried "CA_Autoroot" but it did not have the specific ".tar.md5" file for my device-- I saw the same message that you saw (0 success 0 fail).
I don't know much beyond this. I did install CPU-Z and Titanium backup, two utilities I have found to be useful.
I figured it out. I was using a rom for the wrong note....
