Hello guys, as you know, the latest one click root that worked on the Transformer was SparkyRoot. Well, with the newest EeePad update (9.2.1.21), it is impossible to root without PC. Well, I have completely cracked the EeePad code. You will be amazed with the options included in my new one click root app. Try it and see for yourself! (Also works on TF201 and SF101 slide) Here is the download link. http://depositfiles.com/files/jp4hcc5ze
That's great to hear. To bad I'm already rooted so I can't try it.
Should make it easy for those needing to root if it work.
Didn't work set cpu and titanium back up didn't work

First off..thanks for giving it a go..
Looking forward to hearing some solid reports.
You might want to put a little more detail into your OP..
As your post count is not up and your other threads are still feely new..
I am looking at picking up a new TF B60 next week and if this works as it should,of course will be willing to give it a go..

Yes, there are problems with it. It seems to give partial root access, but not full root. I am working hard to fix the bugs. For some reason, root apps aren't detecting the root, but I was able to edit system files with no problems. The undetected installation for apps works, and transforming the tablet into Linux and MAC work. For some reason, windows is glitching up. Any ideas on how to get apps to detect root?
When i see partial root usually the su is not getting install to system/xbin but it is in system/bin. See that with the OTA root keeper sometimes.
Any movement or progress on this?

Can you move it manually via terminal from bin to xbin? If so does that get you a full root?

I don't know how this apps work but with OTA Rootkeeper you can copy su from system/bin to system/xbin and that solved it most of the times.
There is still bugs in this app. I am working hard to fix them. The su is in xbin, but still not full access. I heard undetected installation is known to glitch up and corrupt files. Maybe I need to remove undetected installation and do normal installation. But when you do normal installation for superuser (through app) it says "There was a problem parsing the package". Maybe use an alternative package installer?
Have you gotten any further in developing your app?
Yes, I got the windows transformation working. Few apps are detecting root, though. Screenshot apps detect it, and a few root managers work as well. Most arent detecting it, though. Also, syncing files doesnt work...
I have my one-click done, it's in my sig and called PERI.
Uses symlinking as found by wolf to grant root.
I'll be making an on tf app too soon. This is all completely open source and 100% working on the 3 tf101 based tfs. You can take a look at the code if you like, it's very simple.
Yes, I am familiar with PERI. PERI isnt an app, though. My Asus Root Menu is a one-click from the device-No PC required.
The commands can be run On-Tf, and I'm in progress of developing an app to put on the TF right now. Should work with 100% success. Then finally out of beta. If you need any assistance with building yours too I'm willing to help.
EDIT:
--
And dude, you're running into problems I almost GUARANTEE, because you're using andromo. Those 'make apps no coding required' wysiwyg tools are total junk. Code it the old-fashioned way :]
What method are you using too Root? I couldn't find any actual commands that are run by your app, just a bunch of invoke pages to text with nothing really attached too it except some ads stuff.. I apologize if I missed it.
And how in the world did you get linux/mac and windows 7 on there if the apk is only ~276KB A system image installer for the Ubuntu ARM image mabye, but there isn't an image for windows or mac (and both are closed-source).
--
Superuser needs to be flashed via recovery/bootloader/adb in a non-locked environment. This is probably where the problem parsing package error comes from.
--
Has anyone sides the OP gotten this too work even partially?
Yes, it has partially rooted a few people, and some people got full root. I have recieved many pm's about it. How is your app coming along?
Hey Guys,
I have been reading on the forum about unlocking, and ROM changing, I'm not new to Android, have a galaxy S2 with ReVolt 4.3 ROM - JB 4.2.2, but my TF700T already is updated to the latest version (10.6.1.14.8) and at least where I have been reading, the unlocker from Asus doesn't work on JB, and the NvFlash won't work after a certain version of the bootloader.
SOOOOOOOOO
Am I screwed? Is there a way to downgrade the version / bootloader so I can unlock and use NvFlash? I can't stand this horrible stock, slow, laggy ROM, so I'm really interested in a way to put my hands on Cromi-X ROM, or others.
Thanks for the help, sorry if my research on the forum was not deep enough to find out what I need.

I believed that you still can use unlock tool from Asus to unlock your device.
No, you can use NvFlash with the latest version.

First, I have not read anywhere that people hard brick their devices with the Asus unlock tool. Either you can unlock it or have problem to unlock it.
Second, people reported that they have unlocked their devices on JB. However, it is always good to do some researches before doing anythings to be safe with. Good luck.

Good work so far! It's not easy to sift through all the info out there, especially if some of it is hopelessly outdated
NVflash: forget about it. You could get NVflash pre-.30 version of the rom and bootloader. Once you were .30 or higher - no way to do it. You're going to have to do it without a net
Asus website says the Unlock tool works only on ICS, but has been used by countless users to unlock on JB 4.1 as well as 4.2. Go ahead, try it and kiss your warranty good bye (you do know that you loose it, don't you?).

Thanks, you just killed the main questions I had, and gave me a quick but really good tutorial hehe.
CROMI-X installed, now I'm deciding if I use Apex or Stock Asus launcher, I have Apex on my S2, so I'm giving a shot on the tablet. I know it is taste, have any indication? I'm willing to try some more.
Already saw a huge speed improvement and responsiveness on the tablet, liking it a lot =D
My digging already provided me more knowledge on android, just by reading some links on the involved posts I found going link to link, but here I found something that got my attention and why not have your opinion on it, the Data2SD MOD, where you format your SDCard to be the /data of the system, I have a 64Gb Class 10 Sandisk card, do you consider this MOD really worth it? If I understood it, the memory inside the TF700 would just store the android OS, all the rest (App + App Data + User Data) would be on the SDCard? Because I usually search before asking I don't have posts enough (yet!) to post on dev section, if you have some more detailed info about this please share it.
On more thing, on my S2 I used CWM and formatted all the partitions (wanted a full clean-up before going from one rom (4.0.4) to another(4.2.2)), is there a way to do it on the TF700 / TWRP ? I was navigating around some folders and found more stuff and some repeated folders around, would like to clean all that is not necessary.
Thanks a lot for the help.

Good, glad you got it going!
Reg Data2SD: As far as I understand, what it does is use your sd card to write processes into memory instead of the much slower internal memory on the TF700. Important: we are talking about memory, or ram here, not storage. The slow memory is the weakest point of this tablet.
It used to speed up the TF700 quite a bit, but has always caused lots of problems with and during installation, when moving to a new rom, you're restricted which kernel you can use.......
Ever since CromiX 4.5 or so it does not seem to give you much if any performance improvement anymore. Most regulars in the CromiX thread have given up on it, I always felt it's more headache than I want to deal with.
Yeah, you can do all sorts of wipes in TWRP. From the main screen choose Wipe.
If you want to do a clean install, choose "advanced wipe" and select everything except your external card. That will wipe your whole system. You better have the rom you want to install on your microSD if you wipe System .
You will have to re-install your apps, set up Google account etc.
I have not had problems when I restored user apps and data from Titanium Backup. But it's not recommended to restore any system data.
You probably won't get rid of the duplicate folders though. The file system in JB 4.2 is driving me nuts. Since they added multi-user support everything is less than intuitive.
Thinking of it: My data in sdcard/emulated/0 did not get wiped during my last clean installation.
Maybe the "Wipe Data" option in TWRP does it? IDK

You consider it worth the trouble?

I don't know, it's not so much trouble when you have been using Linux on the desktop for 10 years.
I use it as a directly runnable backup and for development purposes - my pre-init script auto-detects the card and uses it only if present. So I have two completely separate data environments (apps, app data, settings) that I can switch by rebooting.
Many users found that disabling fsync in the kernel is a good enough workaround for the bad random write performance of the internal storage. Other I/O operations are sufficiently fast anyway.

The latest incarnation of my Data2SD script uses the internal memory for /sdcard (but you can still use the other version if you want). For benchmarking, you can try e.g Androbench, or search the Play store.

Hehehe yeah, you are really used to the unix world.
Have to say that your idea / implementation is really good, you have two system's data, I have to say that I will consider this, when I start developing, studying java once more, don't remember nothing from college -_-, true is I never liked it, but QT is not 100% reliable on Android yet, and I'm thinking on a commercial appliance...
I was considering it "trouble" because it will take some time at first, I want to find a formatting tool that doesn't need to be burned on a CD, do you know any one? It can be from the linux world too, I'm not sure, but I think I can do it from a VM I have here.
The concept is not that terrible, "basically" it just do a symbolic link to trick the system.
One question, if you do a titanium backup from the actual data + apps (I'm using CROMI-X and will continue to use it), and them try to restore it after the symlink is done, will TB be able to restore it at the new place (SD Card), or it will recreate it all at the original location? I'm not wanting to install all the apps again.
I'm not sure if I disabled fsync on CROMI-X installation, is there a way to check it?
Will benchmark when I get home.
Thanks!

Hello Everyone!
I've bought my new Samsung Galaxy S Relay yesterday, so i'm typing from my new QWERTY keyboard. I decided that i'll need some external space for my phone and bought a 16GB San Disk SD card. On my old Samsung Galaxy Mini there was a function in App Manager to "Move to SD" but here there's no such function. So how can i move them to SD. I've checked in the internet and i found that people were usually complaining about the phone not allowing them to move and the solution was to root the phone, but here i don't even have that function. Please, can someone help me to move my apps to my SD? All the answers are appreciated....
I also read in the internet that your android device automatically installs games on SD if it sees that you are running out of memory. If that's right please tell me cause i didn't fully load my phone memory.
My android version is 4.1.2(i guess that"s JellyBean)
P.S.:I know that the rooting could be the answer, but i am really against it because i bricked one of my phones by rooting so i don't want that to happen.

Look up FolderMount in the Play Store. That's the best solution for your issues.
As for the risks of rooting: nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Thanks for your respond dear orange808. I tried the FolderMount app and it requires root. So i guess the only thing i could do is rooting, but i still don't want to root my phone so i'll deal with my 5 GB internal storage...Thanks anyway, this could be useful for others
OK guys i decided to root my phone cause i can't just sit and stay calm knowing that i could be playing Asphalt8 or Real Racing3(maybe). So after rooting(i didnt root it yet) what apps should i use to move my apps or will "Move to SD" function be available after rooting?
Ok, so i see nobody wants to help, so i did all by myself. I succesfully rooted my phone then downloaded the app called root external 2 internal sd.So everything is fine now, i have a lot of memory. Also Titanium Backup is a good app to delete some crap on the phone(I'm sure most of you are familliar with this app, but just in case somebody doesnt know). So I hope this was useful.

I can help, since I was sorta reluctant like you. Here are a few things you could do:
1) Link2SD is proven to work-it does on my SGH-T699. But you need not only root access, but a second partition on your extSDcard. By the way, the "Move to SD" command does not exist in the Relay's hardware or software. But with Link2SD, you can create symbolic links instead via the second partition. That can be done by using Mini Tool Partition wizard (free but some functions are limited)
2)You need a microSD full size adapter.
3)A media reader, internal or USB will do.
For root:
You need Odin. Odin allows you to flash recoveries (Like CWM- the latest version for apexqtmo is 6.0.3.8) and entire ROMs. Search around XDA and I'm sure you will find the links required to do all this. This is my second post, so I'm unfamiliar with citing other threads.
If you need more help, I'll be happy to.

I use foldermount and have no issues with Real Racing 3 and other huge games, it works nicely.
Link2SD does something similar, but does FolderMount require root access? The Relay does not support native Apps2SD, so since Link2SD worked so well for me, I suggested it. Good suggestion, though.
Maybe I was too long winded.

Thanks for answering and good advices. I find the "Root External 2 Internal" app great too, you just have to learn how to use it(you can google it and im sure you will find the instructions).
I dont know much about android working stuff, so the rooting for me was a big risk and i dont think if theres any risk of bricking my phone whileflashing recoveries i would prefer not to do that.

By the way about Real Racing 3. The game works and plays perfect on my phone, but the stupid Google Play says its incompatible(i hope i spelled it right) with my phone. So i went to download it from other sources. Its not just the RR3, the GTA SA works perfectly, GTA VC, GTA 3, and there are a lot more games i dont remember, anyways, the question is if theres any app that can change it by root access(make it compatible) or something like that?
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried forcing a link via Titanium Backup? If you enjoy tinkering with apps at that level, then I would even buy the $5.99 USD key. This unlocks more features to come. This app (and its key) is available via Google Play. Search "titanium backup" and those will be the top two results.
Good luck.

Yeah... I dunno why. I installed RR3 from play on my Xperia Pro, then backed up the apk, and then moved to the Glide, and now to the Relay and I have the same question. Why the hell is it "not compatible"?

I guess the phone is too old for them to care about it. But i found an app called BLACKMART ALPHA which a) allows you to download paid apps for free(not all apps from play store are included but most of them are) b)doesnt care if your phone is compatible or not with the app (Like it allows me to download rr3 or gta sa) c)if theres an update in the playstore it appears in it so you can easy update apps from there.
I couldnt find the app from google play (maybe because i wasnt looking for it carefully) but you can easily find it by google search.
Hope this will work for everyone.

If you're partitioning your SDCard in this instance, can you partition it evenly? Like say if you have a 64GB SDCard, and partition it into two 32GB isolated sectors? I know the Relay can only see up to 32GB (there's a thread that tells you ways around it, though), but in this instance, would it see two 32GB sectors? Or, would you have to take a regular 32GB SDcard and divide it into two 16GB sectors?
You can determine the size yourself. It entirely depends on how much you want to allocate. If you've followed the instructions quoted, any size is possible. Just leave enough for your other needs that aren't related to link2sd. If my advice helps you and others hit "thanks" please. Good luck, I'll keep checking in periodically.

The relay supports 64 GB SD Cards. Works fine with mine formated to ext4. I've filled it to capacity several times.
I know. I was just saying that he can put aside any of that 64 GB for use with apps2sd symbolic links.
EpicMike, I'd be interested as to how you fare in this process. It would educate me for sure. I currently use Link2SD for my symbolic links, but every ROM update temporarily disconnects these links. They are easily re-established by recreating the mount scripts within the app. Just thought you should know.

I know i might get out of topic in this but anyways. Ive just accidentally uninstalled my CLOCK(that sounds too stupid,so iam stupid i guess). so could anyone back it up and send me the .apk file to [email protected] ...or if theres a function to attach it here(im not sure about it) pllease do so, cause i really need it.
Thanks everyone in advance.
There is a clock package elsewhere on xda. Just Google 'ported clock package jb' and click the first xda link visible. It should look like [PORT] at the beginning of the link. Follow all instructions and warnings on the thread. Click the correct links for your OS version, then you could use your recovery to flash the zip file. Or you could go to the play store and check out the clocks there. Should've said THAT first.
Good luck.

Try as I may, I have no idea how to root this phone.
I have tried pretty much everything I can find out there and nothing works.
ANY help would be much appreciated.
Thank You
Nope
the bootloader is locked.
The hardware is kinda similar with sharp aquos crystal, zte zmax and zte Grand-Max
If any of those phone find exploit without fastboot or bootloader access, most likely you can use the exploit on Fierce 2 7040T

Power+ volume wont boot into bootloader mode
Power + Volume up is for stock recovery not bootloader
and the stock recovery requires security certificate for flashing
Towelroot wont work because the kernel has been patched.
Kingo,Vroot, iroot unlockroot and all other are useless since they only root jellybean and below.
Kitkat devices so far can only be rooted through towelroot (for kernel with build date june 3rd and below) or through insecure boot image.
Rooting kitkat is different than jelly bean/below, it requires more than just dropping su binary. It needs to run as daemonsu during boot.
Maybe an unlocked bootloader would help? I just contacted Alcatel one touch to see if there is any way they can give me a bootloader unlock code for my device. I probably have a better chance of waking up and finding a 64gb one plus one under my pillow but it can't hurt to try. The worst they can do is say no.
[Edit] After a long wait they finally replied... and no help.
You guys can try framaroot. I have an alcatel onetouch fierce running stock android 4.2.2 And i save the framaroot apk to my sd card and ran it off the sd card using file explorer and now my phone has su access. So from what i can tell framaroot does work.

Change the default storage location to SD card and you'll have bookoo space. When you set the default storage location to the SD card in settings/storage only apk files and the dalvik cache will be kept on the internal storage and everything else including app data, pictures, videos, and anything you download will be stored on the SD card instead. I was able to install gta3, GTA vice city, GTA San Andreas, need for speed most wanted, modern combat 3, cod black ops zombies, and tons of miscellaneous apps. Its the one thing that's great about this phone.

Already set to SD.
I wish that were the case, but unfortunately, that isn't how KitKat is designed. A few games aren't fundamentally different from any app on /data because the OBB resides on external_SD. Then the Dex, Lib, Data, and Cache probably minimal. No Davlik, running ART (much smoother/faster). I'm literally running 24 apps (part of which includes updated gapps) and regularly clear up app caches. More so, I even move part of apk data to SD manually when available (despite how lame this native KK feature really is). After just cleaning app cache, i have 300MB on data. I run a subset of apps that I would run on my LG Optimus F6.
This phone HAS NO SPACE. If we could root, huge difference. For starters, remove the garbage from /custpack. Then use Link2SD to it's potential. Then dare I say run GravityBox (and a host of others from the Xposed repo) and this phone would be irreplaceable from a cost value vs features standpoint. Alcatel is too incompetent to understand the business side of things so here we are...

I tried art on mine but I went back to dalvik cause art made all my apps take up way too much space.
I ended up selling mine for 40bucks and buying an avant. I couldn't stand not being able to root and not having lte. From now on I don't get any kind of android unless there's already at least a way to root it.

I feel you. It must be a trade-off with the runtime environments, but ART just feels SO DAMN buttery smooth and fast on this relatively inexpensive phone relative to DAVLIK and especially relative to my older F6 on JB.
The LTE bothered me at first but absolutely zero effect to me now as I only notice it when in the app store. However, since there is a. no space for more (non essential) apps and b. a frugal 1GB per line MetroPlan ($70 OTD family plan) to contend with, it sort of keeps me in check & invalidates LTE, haha! It helps that I have WiFi access throughout the day. I also kinda like a lean phone because I used to install a lot of apps that I never used a lot; feel more organized & no need to greenify as it stands. However... the ROOT/Space/Xposed conundrum is quite hard to overlook.
I'll keep going longer until I see a better phone. Nexus 6 too big, don't care what they say in the media, 5" is the max my fingers will tolerate. Wish I could find a Nexus 5 new for cheap, it SHOULD BE... but I digress.
Please someone with know-how; BEAT THIS ALCATEL BOOTLOADER! Speaking of Alcatel [employees]: you have seemingly everything to gain in popularity w/ a nicely specced bottom shelf phone, what do you have to lose by giving us bootloader unlock??? Arrrrggghhh...

My theory is that they use data mining to reduce the price of the phone by including apps that parse through your personal information. Rooting would allow customers to have more control over this type of thing and probably cut into their profits.
it mite be possible to root
Theres a exploit that the alcatel fierce 2 is vulnerable to in the temporarily root option in the z4root app it attempt to acquire a root shell after running the exploit before shutting down if someone can combine this with the exploit from towel pie or the exploit from farmaroot or all three it mite be possible

Straight up, I'm somewhat new to the subject. I want to eventually get the Kali image setup on my laptop but it's old, slow and the iso is about 5gb if I was looking at the right one. For my S5 the file I found is 1+gb if it's the right one then requires a ton of space I don't have. All this I have gathered from reading. Even with the Kali suite I would basically have to learn the whole process from scratch. I have the Linux Deploy apk ready but again I'm assuming it's gonna require serious space. I only have about 1.5gb free. I have an sd card that seems to work then not work. I have a phone backup and some apps were moved to it but every once in a while files will just become corrupted for no apparent reason. And if I try to use the sd as a storage directory I get a "sd not found or mounted" message. I've formatted twice and the bugs keep coming back. I'm hoping to find something lightweight for now. Sorry for the ramble..

Hey can you list your device specs? If its rooted, running custom rom?
however you can try this or maybe you can port nethunter to your device...

Thanks for replying, I have a rooted S5 on MM. That's it. I've never messed with roms or kernels.

Oh well, if you have twrp or a custom recovery then you can try nethunter installation as mentioned in the link i gave after taking a nand backup or else i dont think you will find much. Almost all of the apps that say hack/pentest/crack on market are a hoax.
Will I lose any data on my phone installing this? I wanted to experiment with roms or cyanogen but I'm still not sure how to do it or if it will reset my phone to new.
