Wipe data, Wipe Chace,
if this won't work try flashing some stable custom rom.
PM to some Developer of your section/forum he might help.

Is your phone the Galaxy S2 I9100G version?
If so, I faced the same problem as you with all versions of the official 4.0.3 ROMs (India, Malaysia, etc...)
The problem has disappeared after I flashed the latest 4.0.4 version (Germany). Head over to the I9100G Android development forum for more info.
Hope that helps!

No it is not the g version... Although my friend did own the g version and faced the exact same problem...

The cause is not the phone. The problem is located on the phone network (traffic jam, problem...)

Make sure you have the correct baseband installed. Especially if you've installed a custom ROM at one point in time.
I have a similar phone (Epic 4G Touch, the Sprint version of the S2); a number of the issues I had when first applying ROM customizations were mismatches between the kernel and baseband, causing WiFi to not work at all and 3G to crap out every 30 minutes until I realized what was wrong and flashed the proper kernel version.

Hello folks, I had sent away my S2 for service last week and I got it yesterday and guess what? The problem is gone... What might have been the problem? Is it because I rooted and flashed roms? I am really scared to flash a rom now...

[Q] Anyone else having this problem?

I recently flashed the stock rom that is rooted with hsupa and sideloading enabled onto my Inspire, and over the last 2 days I've noticed that sometimes when I try to make a call, my phone just hangs up. It's weird, because text and data works perfectly fine, it's only when I make phone calls. Anyone else notice this problem with a rooted rom, stock or not?

Yep, happens to me all the time. Internet doesn't always work either. I "fixed" the problem by setting it to GSM only mode. Now I only have EDGE internet.

Are you on the same rooted stock rom, or something different? I don't seem to remember having this problem when I was just on pure stock AT&T with no root. Somewhat annoying, as I'll have to place a call 3 or 4 times to get it to go through, but what's really annoying is that it is so sporadic I can't gauge when it'll happen!

I've noticed this at multiple times, but haven't been able to narrow down what's causing it. I was running Revolution 1.15, and I think it started when I applied the .16 performance patch. It got so bad last night I couldn't make/receive calls for hours. I did a full wipe an reinstalled 1.15 and all has been well the last 24 hours. I just flashed the 2.1 patch but we'll see what happens. Note: Not only can you not make calls when this is happening you won't be able to receive calls either. It does appear to most often happen when bouncing between networks (HSDPA, UMTS, Edge, etc)

Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem. I thought my phone was defective at first, and now I don't feel so crazy anymore. My sister was furious with me, I had to pick her and her boyfriend up from DIA yesterday to take her to Copper Mountain to snowboard with my girlfriend and myself, and she called me 4 times and I didn't receive a single one. I wonder if it has anything to do with HSUPA being enabled on the phones, but at this point I'm just ready to give up root and go back to stock. I don't make tons of calls, but I'd like to be able to when I need to, and for my phone to not hang up on me in the middle of one. I have noticed though it's particularly bad for me when I'm on bluetooth.
I was also having those problems
I am using Revolution 4G 2.1. I'm in the process of trying to get the problem figured out. Stock rooted rom had problems for me because you couldn't set it to GSM only, and that's the only way I've found to make the phone reliably work as a phone.
If anyone can figure it out, I'd love to know what causes it. I've been poking around myself, but haven't come up with anything worthwhile. I suppose I'll flash a different rom and try that.

Anyone found any clue as to why this happens? I've searched the dev forums but nobody seems to mention this, which makes me wonder if most people have this problem.

I have never had this problem. Running a rooted stocker.

It happened to me again last night. Still had data but lost the ability to make/receive calls. I switched network to GSM only, the data switched to EDGE, and i was able to make/recieve calls. Turned back to GSM/WCDMA, no calls. Rebooted, no calls. Turned back to GSM only, calling functionality returned. I did another full wipe, installed AR 2.1, sound fix, apache 1.6 kernel, and calling is restored when connected to HSDPA/WCDMA. Has been working fine for the last 12 hours. I'll keep you updated. I don't know why it's doing this, and it doesn't make sense as to why a wipe would fix it. The first time this happened I was runing the stock radio. Last night when it happened i was running the recommended radio in the AR thread (M2). I've now switched back to stock this time...let's see what happens
Edit: I am also glad to know I'm not the only one having these issues...maybe someone a LOT smarter than I am can figure it out. It's annoying to have to have a slow data connection to have a reliable voice connection. The last Android I had (LG GW620 Eve), also did this from time to time, but I just blamed it on the fact that it was a POS. My voicemail actually went like this "This is Greg. I probably have no idea you called me just now, so please leave a message and I'll get back to you"
Edit: mike1986 (android revolution developer) just chimed in in his thread and stated these issues should be fixed in version 3.0 set to be released soon. Is anyone else that's having these problems NOT running Revolution?

I had this problem when I first rooted (running Inspire 4G Stock Rom w/Root, HSUPA, and Sideloading from the development section) I installed Android Revolution 2.1 and it went away.
I know from my captivate days that sometimes a ROM just hiccups and a fresh flash can fix the issues. I don't know if this is the same with HTC, but it's all android so It's plausible.

[Q] No In call Volume on Samsung Galaxy s2 Skyrocket i727 (AT&T)

I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket, and i've been tinkering around with it a lot, and actually bricked my phone once by loading an ics kernel that totally locked my phone, luckily i was under warranty, and att replaced it for about 12 dollars (shipping).
I am now running cyanogenmod 7.2, with this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398512
I originally had a problem with auto rotate but that kernel fixed that. I Had a problem with in call volume and it drives me nuts. i can make and receive calls, but i can't hear the other person and the other person cant here me, so i assume its not the service, it must be the rom? HOW CAN I HAVE A PHONE THAT CAN'T MAKE CALLS?? i am about to pull out my hair, truely i appriciate any posts. thanks in advance
For skyrocket the cm7 is little buggy. SO you need to have GPS on all the time, this will get you in call voice back. Just enable GPS and reboot your phone and you will be good. And next time make sure you post ur questions in Skyrocket Forum. Over there you will see quick response.

[Q] CyanoTouchWiz Rocket No Call Volume

I'm running the CyanoTouchWiz ROM for my Rogers S2 LTE
which is probably one of the best for this phone right now
The ROM thread said it worked for both the Rogers (I727R) and AT&T (I727)
About a day into having this ROM running my call volume dropped out
In call volume was at max, but still no sound
Everything else worked fine. Not listed in bugs for ROM
Any suggestions of fix?
Reflash?
Try a different ROM?
known issue - dont turn off GPS, and if it happens you have to reflash the rom
So what you're saying is every time I turn off the GPS this will happen?
And i'll have to reflash?
Yes! it even states to leave the GPS on

[Q][Help] Calls won't connect!

I am really stressed with this problem and had to start a thread finally. I think that I have messed up flashing ROM's in BMM. I am able to select network and the signal bars show signals, too. However, when I call any number, it just disconnects automatically after a few seconds. Is it a problem with the radios? I couldn't find any proper solutions till now.
Here's what I have done so far:
1. Factory reset (JB leak 3)
2. Changing SIM cards
3. Restored a CID backup
4. Downgraded to ICS
I am on an Asian version of the Atrix 2.
EDIT: I figured out the cause. I flashed a KitKat ROM on the first system by mistake. I am sure that this was not supposed to be done.
I am on JB leak 3 & I'm facing a most peculiar issue. Just by itself my Atrix 2 one fine day stopped making outgoing calls i.e if I dial any number the actual calls gets dialled after almost 20-25 minutes however on my custom ROM's (MagicMod) outgoing call functions as normal. Please guys can someone help to resolve this. I can attach a Logcat if required as I seriously don't want to factory reset, fxz etc etc. I am at an all time high in Iron Man and don't want to loose progress in my stock rom

Yeah. I can understand your frustration. This might sound dumb. As you did change your sim. But have you tried another sim? And the sim that fails to connect a call, will it works on another phone?

Try FXZ to stock and then see if you encounter the same issue.... or it could be a malfunction on the device itself

In my case as mentioned outgoing calls work just fine on my Magicmod slot just that on stock JB leak 3 I started facing the above issue randomly and as I explained why I am not keen to fxz and was hoping if someone could help me if I could send them my logcat file. Even my notifications don't work (make use of dynamic notifications) & none of my playstore apps update anymore

The phone does not react as not to enter the call
Friend I need help my problem is that since 9/16/2014 M10 CM11 can not update my phone because when you upgrade to the latest version of CM11 and now updating your rom CM12, everything works fine wifi, data, text messages, all but the only thing is that I if I can make calls perfectly, but if someone calls me, the phone does not react as not to enter the call, but to put it together on the phone that is calling me hear them (tic, tic, tic) as when you put it near a speaker, meaning that the call reaches the cell, but the cell does not react. I hope someone help me or help me since I can not upgrade my phone.

try putting a random micro sim card or a regular sim trimmed to fit micro sim in the sim slot, this works for the d2vzw and d2lte roms on the straight talk s3, we were having the same problem with these roms but a sim fixes data for us, maybe it will for you too, doesn't have to be a working or active sim just needs a sim in the slot to connect for some reason, hope this works for you

Hi Everyone,
I'm still on an old CM10.1 masta build from 7-30-2013 and I'd like to get back into things with these CM12 alpha builds. How should I go about this? I know I need to update my firmware/baseband (still on MF1) as well, but what should be my order?
Recovery - nandroid
Flash - Firmware/baseband
Reboot - to make sure all is well
Back to recovery
Wipe data/cache/factory reset
Flash - rom/gapps/SU
Done?
Then just dirty flash subsequent builds?
Thanks for your help, I've had solid performance from this old rom but looking forward to an update.

flash the ROM and Gapps THEN do your wipes, if you don't you might flash the ROM and when you reboot it might be buggy and you might think its the ROM when it might be something left behind from before so do your wipe so you don't run into that; always flash then wipe before reboot, sometimes you can skip that step and flash one over the other without wiping to fix issues in what you are flashing new but that's for experienced people to play around with and doesn't always work, anyway fkash rom and gapps then wipe and reboot

Ambient Display
So, this is in regards to the CM12 alphas, and since I don't have 10 posts yet, gotta post here.
Ambient Display was merged, which is pretty sweet, except it seems to randomly display for no reason. I don't have any notifications showing up, so why is it coming up? It can display several times in a minute, or go several minutes too, it seems pretty random. Only thing I can think of is it's picking up subtle vibrations and thinking I've picked it up?
no incoming calls
Anyone else having an issue with no incomming calls? Ive realised since a few months on cm11 i get no incomming calls unless its a private number.. I would love to use cm12 but theres the same issue. Seems to affect people using this phone outside the US like i am. I saw someone mention this in the main thread but im stuck posting here since im a new member :/
Yes my girlfriends phone after i installed cm11 on it. Never did figure it out.
Top and bottom mic swapped in skype and other such apps?!
First off my last no calls issue was solved with this file. i cant post links so maybe search d2gsm_rilblobs.zip
Ever since I've used CM on my S3 i noticed during my skype calls when i hold the phone to my ear the other person doesn't hear me well especially when there's allot of ambient noise!
I soon discovered that when using any app that records audio it uses the top mic only. but in regular phone calls through the network its normal using the bottom mic! Does anyone experience this? i mean it works fine and if u don't pay attention it may not bother you, but as an audio technician i notice these things! u can try if u have skype using the test call talk in the top and then bottom and you'll see the top is louder when its played back.
I went back to stock and the mic worked at the bottom as it should.. maybe there's a fix for this floating around? I have the Verizon S3 but if anyone notices this i would love to know its not just me!!

You try turning airplane mode off then back on? Make sure your mobile network is set to lte or 3g and not global.
