Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001) MIUI Rom Upgrade via System Updates - General Questions and Answers

Hi Team/Alex,
Just a quick doubt. I have installed the MIUI ROM ver 2.8.10 RC2 on my SGS+ last week. I found Alex has today released a new Update RC3 for his port.
In the ROM I can see and Updater as well as a System updates (Settings-> About-> System Updates). Can this be used for RC3 Update ? I have tried both already but found unsuccessfull. I am planning to download the RC3 Zip tonight and update via CWM , before that I thought I will have check if the System Updater in the MIUI ROM will work or not.
Note: I was about to reply to Alex's Thread, since I am new joinee in XDA and this is my first post, I was forced to put my questions via General Q/A section.
Cheers,
Kirankumar.

Wrong place to be posting this... And there already are tons of threads on this...
But all you have to do is re-flash Clockwork Recovery, and install any ROM you'd like... Preferably a tweaked 2.3.3 OTA ROM.

zte v9(twm mypad p2) help?

I finally managed to install CM7 on my ZTE V9C , which initially came shipped with stock 2.3.4 with operator customisations.( taiwan mobile mypad p2)
i forgot to make back up((((
no problems with 3G or GSM data, phone calls or SMS.
my tab has capacitive touch, which seems to work as good as it was.
few issues as of now though, and quite major ones:
1. bluetooth fails to turn on. shows error.
2. no wifi. error.
3. no auto rotation of screen at all.
can fixes be applied for these issues? or do I have to wait for another release?
please help with your suggestions.
thanks in advance.

CM builds are as far from stock as it can be.

[Q] Install ICS OTA Official in Cyanogen 7.

hi,
i am a fans of cyanogenmo, and using cyanogen 7, happily,
but i want to try ICS official.. I cannot install it.
can you help me to get information related about this.

This question should be in Q&A section. Anyway, it is very simple - use rom manager (or an old backup that you night had created) to install the official rom OR flash some custom rom from the android development section.

[Q] Foxhound Rom Update Question

I am new to this forum so first of all hello
I have been running the Batista70 FOXHOUND EDITION 0.4 Rom on my Galaxy S2 and its working great.
Now for the question, I have been searching high a low and I can't find out where Im going wrong here.
I want to update it to version 0.5, should there be a updater or something included with the rom? I can't find anything at all.
From what I can tell in the development thread there should be something in there to set up the sever and whatnot for updates. Or do I just have to install them from zips in cwm like when you first put it on?
Thanks in advance

MIUI 7 Rom launcher overlapping icons!

I am new to XDA
A few days ago I downloaded the MIUI 6 Rom for our phone....absolutely fantastic Rom. I got an OTA update (MIUI 7 5.8.27) through the rom...which was for MT6589. I flashed the OTA but it has some bugs. I think the framework is not optimized which causes this issue. As I am new to all this I don't know what I should do. Please someone help me...please tell what file needs to be optimized or ported..is it the framework-res.apk?
I have already tried the build property ro.sf.lcd_density=200/210. It doesnt help.
