You mean the backup stops, because the phones turns off? That's happens for me in arco's 6.0.1.0, 6.0.1.2 and in all of my recoverys
But if you are able to restore with arco's cwm, that's strange.

Yes, it seems that's a good idea. I can't do anything, arco (or someone else?) should fix it.
Perhaps a bit point less, but we have an touch recovery, TWRP.
Could you make some screen, your story made me curious but the reactions of bootloop etc, makes me want to stay at CWM V5
ramdom shutdown also happened in my phone since arco's cwm6.0.1.0 and your 6.0.1.2 ....going back to cwm5 now and wait for update

Dear users, to help you I just build app a small app called RecoveryInstaller which allow you to easily install the ClockWorkMod Custom Recovery. Here you are:
It should not have problem, I just tested it.
Hope you will enjoy your root now, and, why not, switch to Revolver.
PS: I don't take any responsibility if Recovery Installer causes any damage!

These warnings were referred to the fact that the blob may contains the kernel blob. I checked the blob i put in RecoveryInstaller, and it doesn't have the kernel inside it. So there is no danger.

You don't need kernel or cwm. Both are included in cm ROM.
Sent from my GT-I9003
Remove battery and place it back (turn off),
put your phone into download mode (vol down-home then power)
odin
place all the stock rom files (pit, ....)
start
and also I suggest you don't go for the CM11 yet, because it has some bugs as I tried it.
There are better stable roms for SL here.
HTH
Hi here i bring to you TWRP Touch Recovery.
everything is working
only compatible with roms based on unlegacy-android device tree
that means most probably all builds after 20170226
since twrp 3.1.0-0 all variants (A510/A511/A700/A701)
are unified from kernel and rom side and supported by one image file
Installation:
flash it with flashify from play store or via fastboot using following command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-picasso2.img
if you're updating from an lvm recovery (bigsystem) you need to format data and system and reboot recovery afterwards
Download:
twrp-3.1.1-0-picasso2.img
Additional info:
official site including changelog
device tree
kernel
manifest
Device specific:
look at the device tree it's up to date
Code:
20170530:
- update to twrp-3.1.1-0
20170405:
-unify a51x and a70x to picasso2
-switch to kernel 3.4
-leave lvm and just exchange cache and system partitions
[B][COLOR="Red"]credits to ziyan for this genious idea[/COLOR][/B]
[B][COLOR="Red"]Important:[/COLOR][INDENT]it will only be compatible with roms based on unlegacy-android device tree
that means most probably all builds after 20170226[/INDENT][/B]
20140623:
- lvm implementation to resize system with flex partition
[B][COLOR="Red"]Important:[/COLOR][INDENT]it's only compatible with bigsystem roms at the moment
only ParanoidAndroid 4.4 from now on and cm11 in the near future[/INDENT][/B]
credits to pawitp and TWRP Team
and huge thanks to ziyan for bringing up 3.4 kernel

Hello!
This is development thread of TWRP Recovery v2.7.1.0 by NovaFusion.
Credits:
marcin1147
Macław
We have never seen device as bugged as Galaxy Core, and we had a great troubles with porting our TWRP. But finally it’s there.
You can get it from our download page and flash it under Odin.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! We have discovered that Galaxy Core is affected by infamous Samsung EMMC bug and for now our recovery is the only one for Galaxy Core which is not affected. By using the other recoveries (Phillz or CWM – especially Factory Reset/Wipe/Format feature) you are risking a hard-brick of your device. Also that’s why we provide only Odin package for now, because flashing anything using your current recoveries might cause hard-brick!
Huge thanks to TWRP team.
You can get it from http://novafusion.pl/.
Download is directly provided from our servers - it's fast, stable and fully resumable!

Recovery fully working here. Thanks guys! Now waiting for the roms
THE BUG:
You'll get into a bootloop if you're rebooting to recovery directly from android (Reboot to Recovery option).
If you enter the recovery by manually holding HOME, VOL UP and POWER buttons, you won't get into a recovery bootloop.
Re-flashing TWRP exits the bootloop.
thank you....
working fine in my GT-I8262....
@NovaFusion team, thanks for your first release, but i see you missed one thing, if you go to recovery with command like "reboot recovery" or using existing reboot recovery menu on this recovery, you'll get recovery loop.
param must be reset before go out from recovery, you need to add postrecoveryboot.sh below ( which I have implemented in my Philz Recovery : D) to reset the param (mmcblk0p14 is param of these devices).
postrecoveryboot.sh
