Dear users, to help you I just build app a small app called RecoveryInstaller which allow you to easily install the ClockWorkMod Custom Recovery. Here you are:
It should not have problem, I just tested it.
Hope you will enjoy your root now, and, why not, switch to Revolver.
PS: I don't take any responsibility if Recovery Installer causes any damage!
Thanks Roach2010 for his CWM recovery version.
I cant do anything untill recovery is there right ?
But STILL....AWESOME NEWS

Yes, you should click the button and the Superuser app will ask for permissions. Then the tablet reboots and to enter it you have to keep the Volume - key pressed and when it the TF writes "Booting into recovery" on the screen press Volume + once

These warnings were referred to the fact that the blob may contains the kernel blob. I checked the blob i put in RecoveryInstaller, and it doesn't have the kernel inside it. So there is no danger.
Recovery installer worked, reboot to recovery worked, now downloading rom so I can backup/install.

I think he mean his RecoveryInstaller only flash recovery, it does not install boot.
Maybe his wording could be a little better.

Hello, first of all I'm a super newbie on this A have a bunch of questions.
-I tried to root my HTC evo 3d 3 or 4 days ago and i did it without any issues. Then installed Cyanogen Mod 10.4 (jellybean) on my device. Now i want to update it to Cyanogen Mod 11. Does it woth it? or should I stay in my current version.
-I read the threat about Cyanogen Mod 11, it seems i need to install TWRP first, my current recovery mod is ClockworkMod v6.0.0.0. Is there anything else before i install TWRP or can I just downlaod it and then install like Clockwork?

Did you flash your recovery via fastboot? Easiest way to flash TWRP 2.7 will be using "flashify" from the play store. it has got a built in feature to download the right recovery for your phone, and automatically flash it after download
May be you just read the (whole) thread about your suggested rom before installing it "blind"

I tried the flashify, i was just able to flash TWRP 2.7 on my phone. But i need 2.6.3.0 (or any other recovery with SELinux support)
but cant downlaod it via flashify. So i downloaded it manually and tried to flash by using cmd and fastboot. Then I just get the "too many links" error. Can't fix it, cant find a solution that works on me..

If that doesn't work its getting a little complicated. Means you have to install a <4.4 rom and install 4ext updater (installs 4ext recovery) from plystore and then you ca install >4.4.
Updating HBOOT will not help!

It means flash the BOOT file as BOOTLOADER in Odin. Here are the steps I did, in detail.
Make sure you have copied the superuser.zip to your SDcard before you begin.
- Flash the recovery as PDA (I unchecked the autoboot, just to keep everything in control)
- Remove data cable
- Remove battery for a few seconds and put it back
- Go in download mode again, and flash the BOOT file as BOOTLOADER (This time, checked the autoboot option)
- Phone starts in CWM recovery
- Flash the SU
In case you're still having trouble, go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and search for s7262, download the kernel for YOUR COUNTRY and flash it as PDA through Odin. Then follow the above steps.
Don't forget to thank the guy

Actually I think it's the bootloader. Just worked fine the first time.. After second boot I'm getting white screen (same thing that used to come previously when I flashed recovery). Let's see if this gets fixed, otherwise this whole operation would just die.
Lesson here is: Cheaper android phones are crap . I'm using an HTC amaze, and it was one hell of a task to root it! But at least it responded to logic.

OK.. 1st flash twrp...... Then flash superuser.....
After flash twrp. Restart your phone and make sure to put superuser.zip (not exactly same name)
To your SD card....... I didn't used this tool so far... But it should put that file in your SD card.... If not than you can download it (search chainfire super user in Google) and put in your SD card.... Then switch off your device.... And press home lock volume up key together..... Until you get a screen of twrp recovery...... Then by volume button scroll to update from SD card and use power/lock key to select that file (superuser.zip) and install...... After installing your device will automatically restart..... And your will gain root

Could you tell us exactly what the steps are that you're using to install TWRP when it fails? Are you doing this from a command line with:
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
If you are, that boots you into TWRP temporarily, but it doesn't install it on the device.
To do that, you need to install twrp.zip from within TWRP after booting into it per the command line step above?
Or are you trying something else?

Install the .zip file, and then also make sure to flash Magisk v16.7 after before rebooting to system.
Also Flash the zip file everytime you are updating your rom...or flashing another os...

That's incorrect. You need to install Magisk 16.4! THEN after boot let it update to Magisk 16.7 through the Magisk Manager.

That isn't incorrect, flashing Magisk 16.7/17.0 works perfectly fine.

16.7 flashed from TWPR results in the error you see once you boot into the OS.

17.1 is the latest update and fixed the the Preserve AVB 2.0/dm-verity being uncheck by default which is why I said you can't flash 16.7, that you need to flash 16.4 in TWRP and then let Magisk Manager update to 16.7... Never said anything about 17.1

You have to flash twrp.zip through reboot in twrp. You booted It with Image and now It needs the zip file to keep itself mounted.
