[Q] Is this possible with NFC? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

So with the 4.0.4 update (i'm using clean rom 4.5), I want to know if its possible to use NFC between this and the Galaxy Nexus. I've tried almost all the roms here and it still wont recognize the one x. Am I doing something wrong?

[Q] Do I have the right version of the Play store?

Hello,
I am beginning to wonder if I have the right version of the Play store on my Xoom.
I am thinking I have an older version/mobile version because the font is very large, in fact, it's an eyesore.
Here is a photo of the Play store once I open it:
http://i.imgur.com/UFRXs.jpg
And here is when I search for an app:
http://i.imgur.com/3pMBc.jpg
Looking at that photo, it doesn't look too big, but when you hold the tablet in front of you, it looks massive!
http://i.imgur.com/MwoK9.jpg
This is still quite large, but much better looking.
Also, another question, shouldn't the beta Chrome browser not be there? I don't see it.
I did a factory reset a few days ago, and when I opened play (if I recall correctly) it said it was updating to a new version, but said there was an error.
(I have not rooted my Xoom (yet ) so I cannot take screenshots)
So, is this the right version, and if not, how can I update?
Thanks! :good:
The latest version of it is 3.5.19

Ok, thanks. I'll root it later today maybe, now that I got the SD card out.
I should be able to get an ICS ROM then, right?
EDIT: Wait, I just remembered something.. Mine is the international (if that's what you call it) version, as it has no Verizon branding on it, and I have no contract either. Will I get an OTA ICS update? When did it come out for the rest of you?

Yeah, head over to the android development section and there are a variety of different ICS roms, try some and see which one suits you best
If you want root try LordAIOTool, it's an easy method to root Linux version is the most updated one. Good luck

Yes. Chrome is for ics. To get it, you need to be rooted. With market enabler, select the american t mobile market and search for it. It is there as beta version.
To root, which xoom type is it? Mz60x?
For the best rom ever released for xooms, it is from team eos.

HTC One X 4G Jelly Bean Update

As you may know 4G means LTE in australia. Can any Telstra users confirm if they are receiving the HTC one xl updates?
Nice find! Hopefully some Aussie users can give the stuff to devs and we can get rolling!

The only bad thing about Jelly Bean is you are going to be forced to update your HBOOT in order to run it. I'm just hoping useful source comes out of it as I won't run it for that reason. I like flashing my kernels from recovery.

Are you on AT&T? are you on 2.20? If yes to both, or you are in Australia despite your profile location, you can download the OTA but not flash it. You can copy the OTA package off your phone and upload it for devs.

Google "how to root galaxy tab 3 8.0". Make sure it's the right carrier and model number (in settings>about).
Cyanogenmod is essentially a new operating system for your phone.

If you have odin on the laptop, yes. Lite version should be just fine, remember to check install drivers if it asks you. Also, one issue I had with my tablet is that it was still installing the drivers .

I tried searching too on the net about this, haven't read anything yet.
Well, this phone is still pretty new. With the bootloader unlocked, this should be possible. Heck, I multi-boot on my S4 and the bootloader is locked.
It'd be nice to have a Sense ROM in one port, AOSP in another.

Capacitive button remapping.

Hi all,
I'm new the the OPO having just left the Nexus line after a long time.
I'd love to use the capacitive buttons but really hate how they're opposite to the Android guidelines. Is it possible to remap them so they're the same as the Android on screen ones?
TIA.

Ah but it requires root :/
Root, and unlock bootloader and Install the latest Oct. 21st verion of SLIMKat and be over it.
You have so much customizations under a super clean and LIGHT ROM. In fact, most of what Android Lolipop is coming out with has ALREADY been out on custom roms ages ago.
Think of it as Google finally taking ideas from the development community.

Bro, theres hardly any adblocker(ad free is what I use) that doesnt need root. Are you telling me you're letting all kinds of tracking scripts/cookies, youtube ads, animated epilepsy inducing garbage steal your time/cpu/battery/data bandwidth?
