I tried searching too on the net about this, haven't read anything yet.
Well, this phone is still pretty new. With the bootloader unlocked, this should be possible. Heck, I multi-boot on my S4 and the bootloader is locked.
It'd be nice to have a Sense ROM in one port, AOSP in another.

With an unlocked bootloader, you can do whatever the hell you want, including rooting. Isn't that the point?
I think this pic I have unlocked bootloader
You have 2.3.3??

Since 2.3.3 is all about NFC, can you try it or maybe post a screen grab of Tag, just for us to see if there are some changes?
Thanks.

Back to initital question - any idea about rooting
All builds are 'rootable' that's the point of Nexus phones.
fastboot oem unlock
So with the 4.0.4 update (i'm using clean rom 4.5), I want to know if its possible to use NFC between this and the Galaxy Nexus. I've tried almost all the roms here and it still wont recognize the one x. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello everyone,
I have a SCH-I535 running 4.4.2 that I bricked last night after running ez-unlocker (attempting to modify the bootload) and just got it back to work after using a debrick image... I would like to know if it is possible to downgrade back to JB 4.1.2? and if so how will accomplish this since it is not letting me bypass the odin process due to a recovery failed error...
Thank you very much!

Wait a week or so. I had an idea the other day and we are just now trying to put it to the test. It may unlock the bootloader, who knows! The method works on Motorola phones with the Qualcomm msm8960 chips. And guess what. The s3 has the same chip. And the exploit was directed towards that chip.

Still testing and digging! But I feel like our efforts are fruitless, as I am no developer and I feel like my friend and I's ideas have been thought of and tested and failed. I do not want to bring any hopes up. But it's starting to look more and more possible. Just be patient

That link has been posted in these forums before. That downgrade only works on the i9300 international version, not the i535 Verizon version. The screenshot in the article you linked even shows the about phone as the i9300. This article you linked is from 8 months ago. If this worked on the Verizon version it would have been all over these forums. The article you linked even mentions how trying this process resulted in hard bricks on the AT&T version. Anyone trying this on the Verizon version will suffer the same fate.

You posted a link without even reading the details contained inside? Not a good practice. Plenty of new people who would read your description, click on the link, follow the suggestion contained in the article without also looking into the details, and brick their phone. I removed the link from my quote of you. You may want to consider removing the link from your previous post. Just saying.

Hello All,
I have an unlocked AT&T LG G3 phone which I used with AT&T number till April 2015. Later, I left the country and now using it with Airtel.
After I left AT&T, there were 2 software upgrades for the phone, I received none.
I checked with AT&T, they said they will not support now, contact LG.
LG said, I will get updates when it is available, but no luck.
Can someone help ?? Thanks.
