this is a major annoyance... I've had a Samsung i760 for a couple months now and have found it seems to have a serious design flaw.
I like to listen to music at work, through my phone using a wired headset (two way headset with mic). I work in a quiet office environment. I always set my ring to silent/vibrate while at work. If I'm listening to music, and happen to receive a call, the music will stop playing through the headset and will start playing through the built in speaker of the phone for all my coworkers and supervisor to hear.
The music would continue to play like this even after answering the call... I have to bring up the player and stop it manually. I was able to partially alleviate this by disabling the 'play in background' setting. With that, the music will still play through the external speaker briefly, roughly 3 seconds, before the player pauses the song. Which is still unacceptable.
I have tried TCPMP and Windows Media and had the same result.
Also, if I have the phone set to ring audibly, the ring is forced through the speaker as well, and the music I was listening to AND the ringtone will play at the same time for those 3 or so seconds.
what I'm hoping someone can help me with is a) a way to make ringtones play through the wired headset if possible, or b) at least keep the sound from being forced through the external speaker when the wired headset is connected and I recieve a call. As it stands, I either can't listen to music at work (a big part of why I bought the phone), or I have to turn the phone receiver off and risk missing calls. Either option sucks and is making consider another phone... though I don't know if this is a WM6 issue or an issue with this specfic phone.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
*bump* anyone?
any way thru the registry to disable the built in speaker alltogether while leaving the headphones operational?
On Acer s200, you can change the value of registry key HKLM\Software\Acer\Scenario\HeadsetIn to 1...
Maybe that can help...
Well the subject says it all.
I am looking for any media player that will resume from pause when my bluetooth audio profile connects.
the stock media player pauses when bluetooth disconnects (good). But when you get back in the car, and the bluetooth reconnects, you have to fiddle around with the phone to get the music going again (bad).
Radiotime doesn't pause when bluetooth disconnects, which is awful because you end up walking out of your car, then suddenly the phone speaker starts blasting whatever music you had playing, making you look like a complete douche.
PowerAmp and Music Mod are both great players, both pause on BT disconnect, but neither will resume on BT connnect.
Is this something that can be implemented globally somehow?
I have a Bluetooth adapter for my car and music streams great but if I get a phone call it wont stream... Any ideas?
You need to be a bit more specific. Is the issue that music does not resume after you hang up the call?
I just switched from an HTC M8 to an S6 Active, and while using Bluetooth streaming in my car, when I get an SMS it outright stops the music streaming and plays the SMS tone over the speakers. I'd prefer this to operate like HTC Sense and GPE where the text message just makes noise on the phone and doesn't interrupt music streaming.
Is there a setting I'm missing? Is there a workaround that doesn't require Root (S6 Active can't be rooted)?
Thanks
Hi!
Please read the full post before going away. Thanks!
There is a solution to stream all sound from my android phone to other android phone(s)? I mean i know some apps what is able to do that, but i have some problem with them:
BubbleUPnP:
If i start audio cast function, both a wav and an lpcm stream starts
If i want to connect to one of the streams, i get "connection time out" error with code 40 (i got it when i was connecting, not when it's already played the stream. i got it on pc with AIMP player)
If i try to connect to the lpcm or the wav stream, a message appears in my phone that says "Audio Cast already streaming. Stop the current playing client and retry""
If i start the audio cast, phone speakers turns off, but i want to hear the sounds on speaker or headphones besides it's playing on an other phone.
AirAudio:
If i start the audio cast, phone speaker turns off (and both headphones), but i want to hear the sounds on speaker or headphones besides it's playing on an other phone.
I have a Redmi 3S Prime with the latest MIUI 8 Global Dev rom, it's rooted with SuperSU and I have installed Xposed framework MIUI edition. BubbleUPnP is enabled in the Xposed Installer.
So do you have any idea what can i use for it, or what to do whit the above apps to do what i want?
Hey,
I fear it's sadly not possible to hear the audio on the source-device and on the receiver at the same time.
BubbleUPnP captures the audio via Xpose and sets the internal audio-stream to silence.
AirAudio uses Android's internal recording-mechanism and this one completely redirects the audio off the internal speaker to AirAudio.
You might ask Bubble's developer if he can add an option to not set the internal audio to silence.
With AirAudio's mechanism we have sadly no way to implement a workaround for this as this is related to Android's internal audio-routes.
Hope this helps
