This build was ported to the droid by Jamezelle and translations to english were done by MarkHUK from MIUI Developers - Welcome to MIUI Developers

I'm on there 95% of the time, but I do sleep (sometimes )

I tried this on a DROID 1 Oced to 1 GHz. Looks amazing, but moving b/w screens is choppy. But anything away from screens is smooth like browser.

D1-miui 0.11.26.0
I just flashed MIUI's new 11.26 ROM and it's running like a beast. After install I can already feel the phone is more responsive then the previous build. Once I get everything set up I'll give a more in depth review. I'll try to post some screenshots and shed some light on new features and themes as well.

No u shouldnt have to i installed it on my friends d1 the other day and all i installed was the rom itself and it comes with its own kernal

I have been reading a lot about MIUI and have been dying to try it. But you have to admit that installs via Rom Manager make it a no brainer.

under jamezelle>download and install 12.3.0 > then flash the 12.3.2 update over 12.3.0-NO-WIPE (DONT JUST FLASH 12.3.2 ITS ONLY 16MB)

Angy Birds on MIUI
Great work!!!
Very smooth and responsive ROM.
Only bug I've encountered is when I created a game folder on my desktop for my games.
I put Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons, both into the game folder and when I tried to access them MIUI kept force closing and wouldn't let me access or delete the newly created game folder.
I'm guessing it's because they (ANGRY BIRDS and ANGY BIRDS SEASONS) both have the same names.
Uninstalled Angry Birds and that seemed to do the trick, I was able to access my game folder once again.
Reinstalled Angry Birds and placed the two games in separate folders.
Prob solved.
Hope this helps anyone else having this issue as I lost all my AngryBird SCORES!(GASP!)

I installed new version over the old one and didn't have to wipe, it kept all my settings as they were before. Go for it buddy...

Eclair Instructions: Unzip the rom file, and place the Rom of your choice folder into the SDCRAD:/goapkrev/backup/ folder. Using tenfar custom clockwork recovery(with USB debugging disable, go down to nandroid/restore/(which ever you want to restore)
Froyo Instructions:

1Boot into Stock recovery (Power On/Vol Down, then press bottom right hand corner of the screen when you see the warning sign) Then perform a data wipe.
2Go into bootloader mode (volume up and power) then Using RSD Lite flash the 2.2 Chinese ROM
3Once the phone has rebooted, skip set up, root via superoneclick and then install clockworkmod recovery/apply.
4Boot into Clockworkmod Recovery and wipe data/cache
5Now go to backup/restore and restore the froyo rom of your choice that you have placed in either the SDCRAD:/goapkrev/backup/ folder.(tenfar recovery) or clockworkmod/backup/.
6Once the restore is complete pull the battery, as you are reconnecting the battery hold volume up, so that it goes straight into bootloader.

When done your phone will reboot and can take about a 1min or 2 to boot up.
If you are already running my previous froyo rom or another , there is no need to do all the steps, just restore the rom.

so far so good. after i had flashed my defy it took a long time to boot. first welcome message was an com.android.mms error nevertheless the rom runs good.

Gonna flash this on my girlfriends defy after a revision or two. Shes not a power user so she would freak out if the rom force closes or has bugs. It looks great! Is it gingerbread or 2.1 themed?

Just put beta 3 on and it looks like wifi is broken. I switch it on, then it turns itself back off again. This behaviour wasnt there with beta2, it worked fine with that.

I was a bit quick to mention that... i rebooted the device and all is working fine and all of the previous minor gripes are fixed too... top job! One thing i would like tweaking... is it possible to change the text colour on the dialog boxes (example google acc setup) you have white on very light grey which is barely visible.

JBoogie beta3 works fine for me =)

Yes i found this too although not sure how to do a screen capture.
I can explain though... start new text message and click to add name. At the bottom where it says 'done' the button is grey and text is white. So the text is hard to read. Normally the button is dark grey and the text is white.
Hope this helps. I will buy u a big beer if you can get 2.2 up and stable.

[Rom Add-On] Performance Pack For V1.08 Firmware

Hi All.
Edit: Do not use with v1.09 firmware, it is not compatible
I have been looking at the gtab update and it appears that most of the tegra drivers have not been updated with v1.08. I have remade the pack for that firmware. The quadrant score remains the same at 2400+ but i have noticed a big improvement in the overall smoothness of the device. Games like angry birds and 8ball seem to play smoother. Also, it might be me but iplayer also looks better. Please try it out and report any feedback.
I have packaged it as a update.zip so it can easily be installed on any os. Clockwork Mod is not required.
Install Instructions:
1 - Download Performance_packv1.08.rar parts 1 and 2 and unzip them (you only need to open one of them), Copy peformancev1.08_update.zip from the performance folder, and place on sdcard of device.
2 - Navigate to settings/software tool, and browse to Performancev1.08_update.zip.
3 - Run the update, the device will reboot and a "out of the box android" will appear, after the device will reboot.
4 - Check the pack has installed by navigating to settings/about Device, under the model there should be "performance pack".
Please make sure you have sufficient power to apply pack, i would recommend 50%
You will not lose any of your apps/data from this process.
Sorry for the 2 .rar parts, its the only way to fit it onto site.

That was reported in my earlier performance pack. It does not appear to affect other games, and the overall speed increase more than makes up for it. Maybe it will be fixed from updates for the pool game.

Applied the pack and it it seems to have made things quicker. However, I'm starting to get random screen corruption. Horizontal lines are appearing. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

The graphical glitches are a problem of the v1.08 rom, i got them before i made the performance pack. I also get them in v1.09 just not as bad.

You need to re-flash the official v1.09 firmware. Hold down the power button for 6 sec. Then plug device into power and connect to pc with usb. Hold down the back button for 2 sec then while still holding back push the power button for 2 secs, hold the back button for further 2 secs. A new device will pop up in your hardware manager under usb. Then run the stock v1.09 rom. Hope you backed up your applications with the software tool in settings.
You dont need this performance pack with v1.09.

v1.10 definately does not get the lines, I thought I was imagining them until just now, so I may well have to put my graohics module back to stock 1.10 from the myadventvega rom. Thanks for the pack, and where the hell is the thanks button, it won't let me thank you...

Yes, this IS a stupid question.
NO, it will NOT work with VegaICS and has nothing to do with VegaICS or any custom ROM.
This is purely for STOCK v1.08 firmware (Android OS v2.2 - Froyo).

Tested It out in my htc mini, Alot Faster but then no sound even after installing game there is no sound coming out even from locking n unlocking. plus its abit glitchy but thanks for the good job

[ROM] Updated: 1-8-12 Hybrid - P999 Gingerbread 2.3.4 colorized - LG Camera - Rooted

Update: January 8, 2012 @ 15:50 p.m. ICT
Okay, here's the deal. I used the UOT Kitchen to make some more colorful notification bar icons. If I flash v 1.1c and let it boot, and then flash the UOT update file everything works. But if I replace the two UOT modded files in the v 1.1c flash and then flash the rom there is no notification bar. So for some reason I cannot figure out, the phone must boot without the UOT mods one time, then flash the UOT mods and everything still works. So I am going to post the link for the UOT mods. I am going to post a new v 1.1e that fixes the build.prop for market issues. After flashing that boot once and then boot into CWM and flash the UOT Kitchen mods. It's the only way I can get it to work right now. The UOT flash only takes a few second so not a big deal. This means if you do a factory reset after flashing the UOT mods the status bar will probably be missing again after the factory reset. If you factory reset and the status bar is missing simply flash v 1.1e again, boot and then flash the UOT Kitchen mods again. Best I can do for now.

New Happy New Year 2012 version 1.1d. More colorization in the notification bar (some icons from UOT Kitchen). New fun pattern lockscreen and CM regular lockscreen also from UOT kitchen. Market issue fixed so protected apps can be downloaded with no issues. Other minor fixes I cannot remember as I did the changes a while ago. The issue with Swype saying "Not configured for this device..." has beenr resolved. There are patches below and v 1.1c has Swype fully functional, along with all other updates and fixes so far.

LG Camera added. I have ported the LG Camera from the P990 2.3.4 build and as far as I can tell it is working perfectly. New version uploading now and there is an updater if you have already installed this rom. Note: The front facing camera (FFC) is inverting the video. At the moment there is no fix for it. If you need the FFC for video chat, etc. please keep the stock camera app.
Note: If you want to access LG Hidden Menus on this rom you need to enter 1809#*95# into the dialer since the base rom was ported from an LG-L95G device (the hardware is identical to the P999).

I am starting a new thread because this is a different version of my ROM pulled from the LG-L95G (same hardware as the LG-P999 in every aspect). I was attempting to port the new 2.3.4 ROM from the P990 that LG released in Europe (Italy to be specific). I got a rom that booted and almost everything worked except for the cell signal. After trying everything I could think of to get the signal working, I decided to take another approach. What I have done is taken my 2.3.4 stockish rom and skinning it with files from the P990 rom. So far what I have got working is colored icons in settings, the entire rom is now the LG blue theme (which I think looks really nice) and new notification bar icons. I cannot figure out why the Google data turning the icons green doesn't work in the P999 roms, but it does work in the P990 roms. I haven't found the difference yet to make this work, so I just made them green all the time as it looks better, in my opinion. I also implemented the crt screen of animation so when you unlock your screen you no longer see your old screen first.
I am also going to try and port LG Home (the LG UI) over as an option but it has a lot of dependencies and that is going to take a while to implement. So I am releasing an initial release of the rom with the changes I have accomplished so far. I have attached some screen shots. I will also work on porting the LG camera later.
If you have already installed my 2.3.4 rom based on the LG-L95G rom you can just run the updater zip to get the colorized version.

The updater will flash the new files to convert your rom to my new hybrid rom and then clear your Dalvik Cache for you. So just flash, wait four to five minutes for the reboot and your good to go.

I was attempting to port the new 2.3.4 ROM from the P990 that LG released in Europe (Italy to be specific). I got a rom that booted and almost everything worked except for the cell signal. After trying everything I could think of to get the signal working, I decided to take another approach. What I have done is taken my 2.3.4 stockish rom and skinning it with files from the P990 rom. So far what I have got working is colored icons in settings, the entire rom is now the LG blue theme (which I think looks really nice) and new notification bar icons. I cannot figure out why the Google data turning the icons green doesn't work in the P999 roms, but it does work in the P990 roms. I haven't found the difference yet to make this work, so I just made them green all the time as it looks better, in my opinion.
I am also going to try and port LG Home (the LG UI) over as an option but it has a lot of dependencies and that is going to take a while to implement. So I am releasing an initial release of the rom with the changes I have accomplished so far. I have attached some screen shots. I will also work on porting the LG camera later.
If you have already installed my 2.3.4 rom based on the LG-L95G rom you can just run the updater zip to get the colorized version.

good to c a new available rom it will be nice if the rom have a full function lg cam

Right now cam is google cam. LG cam from P990 going to be ported over if I can get it working well.

This is great just what I.was wanting a little color.
BTW is there a reason the build prop is read only?
I wanted to change the LCD density thanks in advance

You have to use a tool like Root Explorer and have root permissions to edit the build.prop. If it is set to read only you can change permissions in root explorer to anything you want.

Flashed updater everything went fine im using UMA version for T-Mobile wifi calling features of v. 6b and I have usb tether with win 7 64 bit

Edit: hey J pardon my ignorance but when I try to change permissions it tells me that build prop permissions cannot be changed because the file is read only.

Yea, if you use the updater everything remains the same. The files that are changed are /system/frameowrk/framework-res.apk, /system/app/Settings.apk and /system/app/SettingsuUI.apk. If you already have the TMO UMA stuff on there it won't touch it.
BTW, how well is your UMA wifi calling working? Some people have reported they cannot get it to connect.

were you able to check if this solves the blank carrier name?

Jboxer great rom .. great to have another Dev here... Just flashed and everythings working great .. Widow works fine, actually just used it ... I'm at work and get horrible reception in here so wifi is a must... Are we able to use fauxs 2.3.4 kernals with this rom.. I know they were for his aosp roms but they should work right?

Regarding not being able to edit build.prop. Are you using Root Explorer with root?

Deleted post. User did not click on R/W in Root Explorer.

Tried the new version with the LG CAM and the front facing camera image is upside down. I will try the one with the regular camera now and see if that works. Will also try and see if it works with Gtalk Video chat and Skype-I need the video chat functionality...

Email and browser are working fine on mine. How did you install it? Did you add any system apks or edit anything? Go into CWM and clear the Dalvik Cache and reboot. You might have something you installed interfering with them.
Go into CWM and run fix permissions if you are still having a problem.

Got it had to change the setting at the top. I don't have anything FCing but when I log into the.market Facebook says this app is not compadable? Crazy huh
BTW Google front came is working fine I.don't.know.about the LG came will try when I get home every file I try to download is unsuccessful.

What did you change in the build.prop? It doesn't say that for me. Market and facebook A-OK here.

facebook mayb is market issue?my gf's huawei x5 get this problem but after few day the not compatible has been removed?
