Boot loop after installing a custom font through ' font installer ' app. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Nevermind. Solved.

Edit: I got bootloop and had to restore nandroid.
So you don't have any issues with the font installer? I want the font Roboto installed with no problems.

Same problem.
Could you tell us what you did to solve the problem? I have the same issue with my phone. But the font I tried to install was Century Gothic Gras.

boot loop after font installer app

please help, someone.
I'm stuck in a boot loop after using font installer. I have rooted JB.
Just took back a tablet today to best buy for same thing. I thought tablet was bad. Apparently, it's "font installer" app. Used it before on rooted ICS, no problem. Now, my 14 hour old infinity is looping. Please help.
Soft brick recover method might be working this time, but the "Font Installer" app is causing a lot of problems. Probably best to stay away from it.
Hey Friend,
I am Master Ramy, part of the Support Team for Jrummy Apps Inc, the company behind Rom Toolbox Pro and Font Installer.
What font did you attempt to install?
If your font changes are causing bootloops, chances are that you are overwriting the wrong fonts. Please open the Font Installer and click Menu > Preferences > Select Fonts.
If you’re running Android 4.0 ICS, or 4.1 Jellybean, make sure Roboto-regular.ttf is selected
If you’re running Android 3.X or earlier, make sure DroidSans.ttf is selected
If you’re running MIUI, make sure Arial.ttf is selected
Before attempting any customization, we recommend that users have a recent nandroid backup in case anything goes wrong. There are always ways to fix these issues, there should be no need to return your device.
Finally, I strongly encourage you to contact us with any questions or when you run into any problems, so that we can help you out Feel free to post our responses to the XDA community if needed.
Thanks!

Wrong permission
I had the similar issue when I tried to RESTORE fonts with "Font Installer". It seems that font installer was not setting proper permissions of font files after restore.
I connected my device in recovery mode and chown'ed the font files back to root:root (instead of system:sdcard_r) through shell and it solved the issue.

Font installer bootloop

This is the font installer root. The question is, why the default, only 4 is ticked? Yes, only 3 are shown in pic, scroll and youll see it. Can I pick more? Or why does it cause bootloops for xperia e single? Or do I need to do something about metadata inside those .ttf files? For tipo it works fine, until I ticked everything inside, get the font, and reboot then stuck in bootloop. Is it so different (ics vs jb) .ttf metadata?

i guess it's not Font Installer... see attached pic that it is
is it Font Changer?
Font Installer won't make bootloop, it smart app that will choose properly which fonts to be changed...
it's works on ICS & JB
This is the same app. If you use this on xperia e, it will reboot and give you bootloop. You see its that small because of dpi modding (from my tipo).

nothing tricky...
just open Font Installer from ROM Toolbox Pro,
choose your font (i've got fonts collection, then i don't have to enabled my internet/ offline)
select Install,
doesn't confirm backup (i've already backed up whole fonts and zip it as flashable.zip )
then i see its installation process does replace for 5 fonts
confirm reboot,
voila.... that's it

Reboot your phone and install the themes again. Then they won't disappear..

There was an issue with certain version of deskclock apk. Delete that from system apps ( warning you won't have any clock app, so if your alarm doesn't ring its on you) and try installing theme again.
Usually you can see the error in the logs. If it's not the clock app, then it might be some other app. Provide logs to get better help.

Need help with changing clock font after changin system font.

Hi,
- I've rooted my one+ One phone and have TWRP installed.
- I'm running Cyanogenmod 12.1. (Android 5.1.1)
- I have Xposed installed and Ifont with it's per-app module activated in Xposed.
I'm trying to do two things: 1. Change the system font. 2. Once the system font is changed, change the clock font back to the factory font.
Using Ifont, I successfully change the system font. However, I am unsuccessful at changing the clock font back to default android font or any other fonts without soft-bricking the phone after reboot. In Ifont, I go to per-app function. I select the clock app and change the font family to the default android font. But once I reboot, the phone gets stuck at the Cyangenmod boot logo. Luckily, I have a back up which I restore afterwards. I have tried with the google clock app as well as the Chronus widget.
Could anyone help me achieve this step by step or is this not possible to do. I have tried different things I found on the internet but none work or don't apply to me.
Thank you very much.

COS 13 problem using theme chooser

Hi all!
I have a problem with the theme-chooser in COS 13, whenever I try to switch themes now, trebuchet crashes :/
I'm currently on the standard theme (not the hexo theme) switching from the hexo theme to this worked fine, but switching back doesn't work at all...
Same issue, with Nova Launcher too.
The problem seems to be with icons set: whenever I try to change system icons from System Theme set, to another, Launcher goes in FC loop.

Same problem here..
Same problem, even custom fonts are not loading properly, can anyone zip me cos13 fonts from root explorer and send me
its too much buggy,,and random crashes makes device to do a force reboot!!!
clean FastBoot flashed this rom with Stock COS recovery. no issue at all, except theme chooser lag when swiping left/right. but that is fine with me.
Today Cyanogen released a new OTA that solves some issues.
The theme-chooser issue is now solved.
