Hello guys,

Any Idea ? Im affraid if i have crashed the boot poartition-.-
But the phoen is further working until now
Regards,
Snot
Check out fipsibs tutorial and learn to do it "properly" with fastboot (which is what the script you're using does anyway) and it'll be easier to see what's going on. Plus after you set it up once you're not depending on someone to make scripts fot you and can also use ADB and other fastboot commands http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752270
[Tutorial] How to flash a new boot.img via Fastboot
i know the tutorial .... its hanging here:
C:\Users\User\One_S_All-In-One_Kit_v1.1\Data>fastboot flash boot boot.img
sending 'boot' (6202 KB)...
And nothing is happen now. I see the green statusbar in the right corner ... but it dont fills up
hello in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658158
you can find stock boot.img with self flash under the
LeeDrOiD One Supreme V2.0.0 boot.img (Self flash)
there you have it, small letters. Try this
How do you mean you can see the status bar on the phone? It should be started in bootloader mode then select fastboot. I guess you did this or fastboot should give you an error... Do you get your serial number from "fastboot devices"? If so fastboot is OK, then I'd check md5sum of the boot.img. You're not trying to flash boot image for S4 device to an S3 right?
yeah i could see my device with fastboot devices. Its there ...
I can see a green status bar at flashing the rom, in the right upon corner at the telefon screen.
But the status does nothing there until i disconnect the cable after 10 or more minutes ...
I try to flash the MoDaCo.one for the HTC One S Rom ... my CPu has 1512 mhz what means i have a S4 right ?
I got no failure ... only a freeze in the progressbar ... it seems that the fastbook is unable to put the file to the mobile ... ?!
I was have the same problem for me work LeeDroid self flash but if i good remember i first flash it stock recovery via One_V_All-In-One_Kit_v1.0 it
must be the 1.0 version
Hmmm where i can get the stock HTC recovery ?
Is there a connection between the recovery and the bootloader ?
In this version 1.0 there you have stock recovery, about connection with bootloader i dont know its just works for me
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
I think i got the problem ... the bootloader is s-on ...
but i already can install custom roms so i dont know whats happen -.-
Cant unlock it with the Unlock_code.bin ...
I have s-on too, unlocked bootloader and root. Do you try this program 1.0 version ?? i was trying everything my phone was dead only recovery was working but sdcard was unmaount and this helps

Yea your right ! My bootloader is unlocked too i see now ...
What you mean with programm 1.0 version exactly ?!
One_S_All-In-One_Kit version 1.0 i have it if you wont it in my case this green line on the corner was stoping before end, and then stops i was waiting one time 20 min and nothing after that i was traying everything and this program One_S_All-In-One_Kit version 1.0 hi push this stock recovery , i was see that this green line go to the end and magic 100%, i was have stock recovery and after this i try flash boot.img and works on first time before i was trying flash my boot maybe 30 times
There is no way to S-off the One S yet and being S-on won't prevent you from fastboot flashing a boot image. The recovery is a separate basic OS loaded from its own partition instead of your regular ROM, this happens after the bootloader mode so this has nothing to do with fastboot. What is the boot.img for, which ROM? Did you check the md5sum? Also you could try the earlier version of the all in one kit I guess, or redownload the one you got if you don't want to install the Android SDK.
Ok the solution was simply to use another pc ... Even the fastboot founds my One S i cant put the boot img to it.
With my notebook i works instantlly ... no idea but it works now
for me it helped to change the USB port I connected the device. The thing is it should be connected to a primary USB, not a HUB!

I have an XE, HBOOT 1.27 Unlocked and S-ON and I flashed many ROMs, always enabling SmartFlash in 4Ext.
Yesterday I tried to flash Sebastian's ROM, Revelation, and now my phone is stuck at HTC Splash Screen.
First I did a nandroid to my current ROM, Pac 1.1, then format all(except SD Card), then flashed Revelation and something went wrong.
After flash complete I confirmed reboot and right before 4Ext closed, it showed a message saying something like : It has been detected a change in your boot partition, a backup of previous has been made in /sdcard/4Ext/boot.
It stays like that for a few seconds(I always had this message when flashed other ROMs) and soon after says something "there has been an error, report it" (never seen this message before) and reboots, but keeps showing Splash Screen for ~5 seconds, turns black, then Splash Screen again and so on until I remove the battery.
What can I do and how?
Someone told me to push via fastboot the ROM's boot.img but there is a problem.I have a PC where the phone has never been connected via USB cable, so I have no driver/tool anything.
When I connect it to PC, nothing shows up.
If I select FASTBOOT from the bootloader menu, still nothing shows up on PC.I tried from 4Ext menu Toggle usb connection, but still no trace on my PC.
I beg you, help me.
EDIT : I just found out that Sebastian messed up something in the installer, and all I have to do is to flash the boot.img through fastboot.

Hi,
Try flashing a STOCK ROM
Choose the XE in the second post.
Otherwise you will have to setup your PC to run a RUU,and return everything back to square one.
The weird thing is that even if I try to flash another ROM, stil the same problem.
I format all except SD card, wipe cache+dalvik, mount SD card into PC and delete folder 4Ext/boot_backup.
Go back to 4Ext, enable SmartFlash and flash CM 10.1 by Albino . Reboot, I get the message about my boot partition has been modified, but not the error too, and when it reboots, stuck at splash screen.
I'm desperate.

Hi,
It looks like your only option to reconfigure your boot partition ,is to run a RUU.
Look HERE
Do you know the version-main of your phone?
But first you will also need to setup your PC for ADB.

actually if he setup the pc with adb and fastboot files he will be able to flash the boot.img manually
so why the ruu.exe?

I tried that yesterday with the help of a guy, but no success.
I installed all necessary drivers, adb and fastboot, but I can't get my phone discovered on my PC.
If the boot partition would be screwed, why it doesn't work when I try to flash other ROM? Like CM 10.1 or the XE Stock that I've been suggested a few posts above. Flashing this ROMs, shouldn't the boot partition be written with the ROM's files, and everything should turn back as normal?

It should rewrite the boot partition. Are you sure 4ext says "a pending update to..." and the process completes?
First boot after a new flash can take as long a 10mins. Wait it out.
Anyway if it diesnt work, try another wipe (all except sdcard) flash another rom, and if you're still stuck, use an ruu.
Happy to help.

I'm very sure 4ext says "a pending update to..." but only it doesn't completes as usual, instead show an error saying that the process couldn't be completed and the boot partition was reverted back as it was, report the problem. This happens when trying to flash Revelation.
I flashed CM 10.1 and says only " a pending update to..." no error , reboots and keeps turning off and on the splash screen.
I flashed a stock XE ROM, happens same thing as in CM 10.1 case.
I tried restoring from nandroid , happens same as CM 10.1 and stock XE ROM.
I wiped and flashed so many times in the last 2 days that I didn't do in the whole year that I had the phone.
I can't use a RUU, as I'm stuck at getting the phone discovered by PC.As I said, I installed all necessary drivers found on a topic here, but still can't see the phone.I tried HTC Sync also, as that pack installs the drivers too, but still no luck.
My last hope is to try connecting the phone on an older PC that I put it in a box and thrown it in the garage. That PC has all drivers and set-up for the phone, but they are outdated for sure.

There you go. The reason your phone is in a bootloop is that the correct boot.img is not written.
And something is not right with your recovery. It could be a bad flash (I'm not sure).
I don't think you need to use an ruu. Just get on a pc that recognizes your device, and flash the correct boot.img.
I would advise that you flash the recovery.img again.
EDIT: Change usb port to 2.0. Try all usb ports on your computer. It is quite common that fastboot recognizes devices on some usb ports and not on others.
Alternatively read this, point 4. This will surely work if you can't get another pc

I think this is the key to my problem. I checked the link you gave me and I think I might get it done using that method.
Gonna give it a try as soon as I get some free time later today.
PS : I tried all 3 usb ports on PC, ofc.
Thank you, I will keep this topic update with results.
I'm having a hard time finding the right RUU for my phone, as I don't have access to fastboot, which would make my job a lot easier.
I found a list with providers and CIDs and I suppose mine is HTC-ITA HTC__405 , since I bought it in Italy and it was unbranded.
But i can't get software version, as it asks me to go to setting/About phone . I can't do that.
I think the right RUU is RUU_PYRAMID_LE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.105_R2_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504, so now I'm downloading that and then move on step 4 on that tutorial.
Hope I just won't brick the phone.

You can flash only one particluar ruu. Just make sure it's pyramid le(sensation xe). You will not be able to flash a wrong one, so no need to worry.

Hi,
The RUU process will not work if the phone says "Unlocked"
You will need to relock the phone, according to the section 3 of the guide.
So,you will need a PC
did you check also if the bootloader screen says fastboot usb?

When I vol down & power to get in bootloader I see :
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIM LOCK
IMAGE CRC
I don't know about fastboot usb...
Anyway, selecting FASTBOOT and connecting my phone to PC, nothing shows up, and running fastboot commands doesn't work, there's no link between pc and phone.

Hmm. so you probably need to flash a recovery first.
then you will be able to use the recovery to mount usb and put a new rom on your "sd card"
Then you can flash the rom on your new recovery and don't forget to fastboot flash the boot.img.
edit: the all in one toolkit is great for things like this. It will put a new recovery on your phone with just a click of the button.

I just edited my original post. just in case you didn't know how. I guess I was a little slow.
Also I can't remember if a bootloader factory reset relocked your phone but you might want to check that too. up on top it would say locked or relocked. If it still says unlocked you don't have to do that step again. Like you did when you first rooted the phone.
(all in one tool kit is great for unlocking and relocking too) just put a copy of that bin file in all in one tool kit (data file i believe, but it says what to do in that thread)

Your phone is an s3?
My phone is an S4 as are I would guess the majority of users. I think the s3 is the international version. If you are on T mobile then it's a s4.
Ok,,,
so .... if your phone is an s3 version then you will have to check that the Rom you download is specific for your phone as most of the Roms on this site are for the s4 version.
you need to go to your recovery. press the volume down button and hold it. Then press the power button (don't hold it). That will get you to recovery.
when in twrp recovery you will see a mounts button. hit that then the next screen will have mount usb. then you will be able to move a rom you downloaded on your computer to your phone.
then you can install the rom zip in twrp.
then from your computer, I assume you know how to flash a boot.img
put a boot.img in your fastboot folder, open up a comand prompt.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
if you wanted a different recovery than you are using, find the download the recovery. *I would rename the recovery to recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
(I only mention a different recovery because in some of the Rom threads you might read that you can only install a particular rom with an older version of twrp.)
I'm not sure of your skill or experience with all of this. If you are very new to it (then you are probably really frustrated) have no fear there is a little bit to learn but not that much. Just keep reading the development thread and the guides in it.

in twrp when you press "mounts" then press "mount usb", does your computer finally see your phone?
I was looking at your first post, you say that you rooted and flashed your phone. What do you mean by that? Did you download a ROM and attempt to flash it? Or did you "fastboot flash boot boot.img"?
If you are able to access your phone via computer it is as simple as downloading a rom on your computer moving it to your phone then in twrp "install from zip". Then fastboot flash the boot.img.

if you are just fed up and want your phone back to stock then you will need to run an RUU.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094414
To run a RUU you would need to relock your bootloader.
in console type "fastboot lock oem" or use your all in one toolkit to relock it.
if that fails you will need to put your stock recovery back. (you need to have boot loader unlocked to do this)

Do you know how to FASTBOOT FLASH boot.img which is present inside the ROM.ZIP?
Try wiping data, cache, dalvik. Then reinstall.

umm i got problem with my phone, my htc go into bootloop mode after i install Revelation rom jb 1.0.0 , it goes to htc logo sreen, then black screen, then back to htc logo screen again
i do format all partition except sdcard but no luck, then i tried to restore my previous rom, it went to bootloop too ,
what should i doo ?
everytime i went into 4ext recovery , there always appear a popup says that "there are pending update to your boot partition, do you want to remove smartflash ?" <-- i dont know what is smartflash, all i do know is my phone is in hboot 1.27 , rooted,s-off, and unlocked
and everytime after i installed any room, it says "backup of your boot partition has failed, please report this bug "
Try entering fastboot via terminal and flash boot.img manually type
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and see how it goes...

umm could you explain a step by step method how i did this, kinda forget how to do this, i've "s-off"-ed , and unlocked my phone about one year ago
Assuming you have a working adb setup installed on your pc (if not follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152148)
1. connect your phone to pc
2. extract the boot.img of your roms .zip file and place it in your platform-tools folder (or where fastboot is located on your system)
3. type "fastboot reboot-bootloader" (on your phone it should read "fastboot usb")
4. type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
5. when finished type "fastboot reboot"
and you are ready to go.
Remember since you are s-off, there is no need to have smartflash enabled, so disable it in your recovery...

it works like charm, i just have to flash the boot.img from pc, even though i have to borrow my friends pc since mine on win8, anyway thank you for the information, really really help ! !
i almost got frustated since i cant do restore from backup and the flashing always stuck at <waiting for devices> in my win8 pc,
oh, one more question, if i want to flash another rom, should i just do wipe-install ( normal method ) or i still have to flash its boot.img alone from pc ? :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Just follow the normal procedure
But if you have again the same message about bending to the boot partition has failed then you will have to use the boot.img of the rom again

Wanna ask something again, everytime i went into recovery to install a rom and kernel, it went to boot twice until phone went into boot animation screen. Is it normal ?
All i know is that it would only happened if i i'm on s-on, i'm s-off, and everytime i try to disable smartflash on recovery, it went enabled again

Hi all,
I'm new on this forum, it's my first time here.
I have a problem with my son HTC ONE SV.
He has broken the touch screen, than I have find a complete replace touch screen in England for 45€, so I was happy because the assistence ask me 150 € and more for change the screen.
I have replace the Screen and I was very happy when I finish to assemble the phone and It's starts... but.... the Phone goes into a Boot Loop.
With volume down+ on button I can Enter into service menù and I have installa on my PC HTC driver, so when I attach the Phone to USB cabel from Fastboot I see "fastboot USB" on screen.
I have try to to a Factory Reset but nothig happen, the phone at every start goes into a Boot Loop.
I Have try to change back the original Screen (broken) and it's Boot loop also with the original screen (so I think the new screen is ok)
So the Phone is not Rooted and it's into original conditions with original Firmware branded TIM (Italy operator).
I have try to find some information about the possibility to flash the original Firmware or if possible a cutom Firmware, but I have found only information about Stok firmware or similar, and for this option I must have the Phone Rooted, S-OFF, unloked.
But my phone was not rooted or in s-off mode or unloked, or set into Debugmode from Settings (now is in boot loop and I can't acces to the settings menù).
Can someone help me with this problem?
I need only to do a factory reset with original firmware, or , if possible in this condition, install a custom firmware.
There is the possibility to flash original firmware (I have 2 HTC ONE SV, other 2 son where I could extract the original firmware if necessary)
Many thanx to all.
Massimo from Italy
Never had to do such things. But the only thing you can do is, unlock your device with htcdev.com, use custom (TWRP) recovery and flash back a backup or a stock rom.
Is your phone k2u or k2ul?
many thanx

Many thanks,
what is k2u or k2ul?..... k2u is not LTE version and k2ul is LTE version
I have Unlook the bootloader, now is UNLOCKED.
For TWRP I have find this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2280241
So I have flash the recovery:
Recovery_TWRP_2.6.3.2_K2_UL.img Older version
Only for k2u & k2ul!
But After if I press recovery the phone boot and show a description:
This build is for developed purposes only
Do not distribuite outside of HTC
withot HTC's writeren permission.
Failture to comply may lead to legal action.
In attach 2 immage
That screen is normal after unlocking.
So you can't boot into recovery?
How did you flash?

I coonect the phone to usb and from Fastboot I flash with:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Where recoveryimage.img is Recovery_TWRP_2.6.3.2_K2_UL.img
After the flash I back to main menù and run recovery but after the splash screen with the message the Phone enter into loop reboot
Did you rename Recovery_TWRP_2.6.3.2_K2_UL.img to recovery.img?
Whats written in your cmd window?

I have also try to do:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
rhan
fastboot erase cache
then
lunch recovery but the phone show the HTC messagge and thena loop reboot
I'm running out of ideas
It seems, something else/more is broken on your phone, because as you are unlocked and flashing shows fine, you should be able to enter.
Last try from my side, hopefully this works: http://d-h.st/NXX

Did you change the touchscreen only or the lcd along with the touchscreen as well? If you followed everything with how to flash recovery and firmware, maybe there is some mismatch with your screen assembly and the phone software. Some phones come with different revisions for the lcd screens. Maybe that is the problem. But I am not sure about One SV different LCD revs.
Before I was using galaxy wonder and it had three diffrent LCD revisions and one of them exhibited a bug with the Cyanogen OS where as the others did not.
I would take the phone to the shop where you got the touchscreen and ask them for help.

Hi there, long time reader, possibly posted before but I cant remember my account name so I suppose I am a newbie.
1) Unlocked boot loader fine
2) Installed TWRP fine
3) Rooted fine
4) Installed CM11 and Gaaps
5) Restored all my apps from Titanium
Yaaaay ready to rock or so I thought. Only to be faced with "mobile network not available" so my intention was to flash another CM11 or other CM if it was possible to get it actually working to make phone calls. In my attempts to do this I cleared everything, so no OS. I can get into the bootloader and recovery mode still but that
ADB thing refuses to work. So as of now my PC cannot see the device to copy the rom files onto it.
Am I right in thinking if I get a USB OTG and put a rom on it, I can flash it from there??
I would settle for any custom rom at this stage that functions and doesnt have bloatware.
Failing that, would it be allowed here to ask for an image of a working htc one mini m4 to be uploaded somewhere that I can work with?
I wont be able to do anything until i get the USB OTG. Ive tried everything with ADB.
Your help would be so much appreciated.
hi,..
So first I´m not quite sure if an otg will work but it´s really worth to try it...
But after a (maybee) sucsessful flashing of a ROM via OTG there is no way around to get adb and fastboot to work.
Next I have to say is you should post some information about your phone.
h-boot Version
OS version
CID-Number if you know.
Only with this information sombody here can help you to find the right ROM.zip for flash trough recovery.
(if the firmware and the ROM do not match you are running in to multiple issues)
greets
Thank you

So,.....
It would be very interessting what firmware was on your device..
But as we can see the bootloader shows "OS- " so I suppose with h-boot 2.21.0000 it was 3.10.xxx.x.
I ran in same Problem a few weeks ago.
Recovery write: Can´t mount sd card and can´t mount data
I formated data in TWRP-recovery....(formated not only wipe...deletes everything on device).
As far as I remember after that adb returns to work and I sideloaded a new system.
I recommend you to flash first a stock or stock "near" system then and try to get s-off (to get rid of your problems)
But your first goal is to get a working OS on your device and get adb to work
A little help could be:
In fastboot mode :
"fastboot erase cache"
then reflash TWRP 2.7.1.1 with "fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img"
If this don´t work out the only way is USB-OTG cable.
greets
edit: honestly I think the CM11 thing is a story after getting device back to life...
an other question ....what do you get if you type in adb when device is in recovery mode: "adb devices"
If needed here you can find a working sense 5.5 rooted stock rom (should work with your frimware) to start with:

Thanks. adb devices will sometimes show the serial number I think, adb push CMupdate.zip I get "cannot read cmupdate.zip"
Fastboot flash recoery recovery.img works.
I have ordered a USB OTG so hopefully by friday I will have it. Im not sure how to show you the firmware? I thought I listed everything needed?
No, its not your fault...
Normaly firmware ist listed in bootloader under OS-3.10.401.3 (for example).
But sometimes after a bad flash when the partitions are messed up or so OS dissapears from bootloader like we can see in your case.
I know from HTC ONE M_7 that there are also some releases of TWRP-recovery that make dissapear OS-Numer from bootloader
but I don´t know if this is similar to the HTC One Mini.
If you get a a serial nuber from adb in recovery mode.. adb should work.....
Do you know how to sideload a ROM via adb and have you allready tried it?

Yes side load does not work.
I have a serious headache now. I tried so many roms and none of them let me make or recieve calls. The 3g mobile data is working. Would this work if the IMEI was blocked?
I also tried to update the firmware and ran into problems error 155 and error 132. I am really close to giving up.
