[APP] Devine "We Fail" Promo

This is a promo app that plays Devine's 1st single, "We Fail" , off their first album titled "14 Steps to Stone"

Devine is an American heavy metal / Hard Rock Band blending elements of Rock, Hard Core, Metal, and Hip-Hop. However, this band is unique for more than just their sound but also in their peculiar arrangement. The band not only remains spread out over the United States but for nearly a year, and after a completed recording no one in the band had ever been in the same room!

This is an awesome band I have been doing a lot of work with
This app was created in App Inventor because I have no idea what im doing but it does the job of letting people hear them and getting the word out lol
If anyone has a marketplace account and is willing to post this on the market for free then let me know!

The basic principle of it is pretty great actually; I'd love to have a couple of my songs (per say) featured in a app that can be deleted, instead of having people download my song's & then have it get lost in their folders. They can delete it if they hate it with ease, or have a link in the app to your iTunes/Music page if they like it.

Can I just say that if you don't want feedback or opinions, constructive or otherwise, then a forum really isn't the place to be announcing your app.
I thought this forum was a place devs/users could gain feedback and discuss apps, if you aren't prepared to take the good with the bad then why post?

Because this is for people to offer constructive criticisms about the app, not needlessly hateful comments. Saying "this app sucks because i don't like the music" is not helpful in the slightest. We are supposed to be rating the app, not necessarily the music.
By the way, this is a brilliant idea for an app. I think NYGraFFit1 put it best

Well if someone would like to help improve this app im all for it, but I did this much in app inventor online and do not know much about programming in eclipse lol
I would like to see this app improved though, maybe ill start reading about android programming when school is finished next week

I was going to offer to throw it on the market for you, but I'm pretty sure you can't with AppInventor apps (I'm not sure, I'll look into it). I know you at least didn't used to be able to, but things may have changed.

I still can't decide which are better though...Tiger's emus or the 'oid emus.
Seem much of a muchness to me. I tend to use the 'oid emus.

With the exception of Tiger Arcade, I use all the *oid emulators because they scale better on my tablet.

FYI Gameloft Rip-Off potential

Hey you know all those free and 99 cent apps that Gameloft had during Thanksgiving? Make sure you back up those apks before flashing your phone. I flashed mine back to stock tonight and when I went to the Gameloft site, they had no record of me purchasing anything. Fortunately I remembered I had backed them up previously. My paranoia paid off!

How does that make gameloft a rip-off? The same thing would happen with there full price apps create an account with gameloft if you want them to remember your games

And I did that first - before I ever downloaded anything to begin with.
Fortunately, I have my receipts from Paypal for the 3 games I bought. Opened a case with Gameloft, just to make sure my account gets fixed.

I'm pretty sure that flashing a new firmware to your phone can cause the website to think it is a completely different phone. I had setup an account and this happened to me.
I just emailed them with the list of games that I had downloaded and they sent me on the APKs. No hassle at all. Some of the best customer service that I have had. I had bought 2 games and gotten 1 in a free offer. So I had 2 paypal receipts and they still emailed me on the 3 apk files.
Pretty misleading title since you hadn't actually dealt with them to get the APKs back.

Wish gameloft just used the market because its really annoying having to go to their website.

Gameloft ain't rip offs. In fact they are the best. The problem with order & chaos recently. I sent them an email and gave me the update within the next day, then when I told them the play controls weren't working and could only play it with touch screen they are now giving me 95 runes for the trouble and letting me keep the game. 95 runes is equivalent to £15 as you have to pay to get runes. Now I say that don't sound like rip offs to me. Who looks a fool now ?

Right it looks at the device too. When you buy a game it give you the one for that specific device. Also it knows what games work and don't for each device. Hence why with some devices there are only 21 games or the play has 42 games fir example. So when you go into it on a different fw or Rom it knows that q change has been made and for fraud purposes they have to do that. If you think. I have 4 SE devices. The play, Arc S, X10i and the Ray. Now I bought games for the x10 and when I went onto it on my Arc S it didn't show the games. But.... It does say on there site on the downloads page. Games that you bought for this DEVICE. So why does that make them a potential to be rip offs. I think you need to stop wasting server space and also post in the right section. I.E. The general or Q&A section. Think before making threads like this. If you read it properly on there website it does say what you bought for that device and when changing fw they know. Or everyone could just use my fw and dl my games that I paid for. They need to do that as like I said it is to prevent fraud.

aahahaha. Your the one who is being rude and attacking. I didn't call you names I was just saying. Also this thread is not about apps its about a company so yes it should not be in this thread. Also I am reporting you for being rude and disrespectful by telling me to bite you. Oh and calling me names. Which is not allowed at xda. So why were any of your comments necessary at ALL, since I had already said what Gameloft did to correct my impression AND say "Sorry Gameloft, you are -not- a ripoff." It's not like I could kill the whole thread at that point. Did you really think your post(s) added anything productive or useful?
Furthermore, Gameloft sells APPS, the APPS in question were previously mentioned in other threads IN THIS SECTION, which was why it made sense to me to post my warning about a POTENTIAL issue with those same apps. Everyone knows that almost nobody ever reads the General or Questions section, because that's where the n00bs ask things like "I just bought an Xperia Play. What should I do now?"
Finally - I concede that the "bite me" and "twit" comments were unnecessary, and I apologize for making them. However, your entire POSTS were unnecessary as well.

In fact all I said was that this is in the wrong thread and my views on him saying gameloft are or have potential to rip you off. Dude. We sorted this out ages ago. But this other guy seems to think it's ok to carry it on. I have asked for a thread closure as I'm sure we both agree it dint need to be open no more as it's just now attention to the trolls and dude there is no need to buy me a beer. Also I will be releasing a Rom soon and I need someone to be a tester for me. This really belongs in the Dev thread, but I can't post there yet. I wanted to share this fascinating article with you all, and wondering if Jim and LFaber are in contact with him regularly (I know CM9 is still alpha)??
I almost wish we (everyone here at XDA with an A2), had gotten him an Atrix 2, before that person from the Bionic crew did (read the article, you'll understand)?
As always, tons of thanks to Jim, LFaber, and even to those brave souls who occasional get really excited about diving in (I mean, even if it turns out a far deeper rabbit hole than you were prepared for at first --- still, I tip my hat to these brave souls!).
To those who will read the linked brief article (half a page, really), do you have any ideas, any feedback?

Yep, I read it, and both lfaber06 and I communicate with him often. I will PM lfaber06 and see if we can get hascode to give us some info, but I will tell you that the radio on our phone is sooooo, different from all the phones that he/they work on since they are all for verizon, some with international versions mind you, but it is still an issue for us, because we are an island in the motorola smartphone world. There really is not a phone that is "exactly" as ours, now the international version of the d3 is as close as it gets, but we still have the radio issues. And I have already contacted hashcode about that a while ago, we still need to find a phone that has a close enough radio that is running ICS, like one of the sony phones, but they are not running ics yet, so it is playing the waiting game for the moment.

I was curious and skimmed through some of HashCode's posts on XDA, and there was one particular post where he indicated that "everyone" (referring to those with a particular phone) needed to be regularly/daily checking the 'servers' for a leaked ROM or something like that. I have a MOTO Dev account, but I am unaware of any list of FTP servers(?).

Need some info from devs.

hello everyone As some of you must have already read that Moto is closing down in asia-pacific and so in india, I was thinking to sell of my A2.I'm not really sure but thoughts are coming in my mind.So what I want to ask here is that is there any development and breakthrough on good front going on ? (I'm sure something or other might be surely brewing up amongst devs) but still is it that exciting, If yes i would hold of my A2 and wont sell it off (If i am getting some good ROM) or atleast a progress on it (don't get me wrong here i m not pushing anyone).
Just wanted to ask coz, if there is no future regarding development I might think to sell A2 before the prices drop even more.

I already know that nothing is guranteed but looking at situation one can atleast judge what is up in store.Right now that dev section is kinda stagnant and devs are upto something in secret and that is absolutely fine considering what moto has done in past.So a small heads up would always be welcomed.

Really? How long have you been here? To pose the question as to if there may be no 'exciting' advances being made on the development front is rather insulting. I can say that I myself have worked 'behind the scenes' and these guys are ALWAYS working on things. How "exciting" they may be is purely based on your own perception. If there was any indication of having no future of development, don't you think these guys would have moved on half a year ago from this phone? Also, I don't see as to why Motorola shutting down to some capacity in India would have any bearing on whether to sell your Atrix 2 or to keep it. Not sure if this is "forum fishing", but hold onto your pole... you're going to get some bites.

No, the dev team hasn't bought tickets to "Margaritaville" and will not be kicking up their heels after ordering two pina coladas- they are always on the job, and always testing. If you'd like to pass your Atrix 2 on, for whatever reason, then I wish you the best. Impatience has always run amok here in this forum, and more so recently. Be it due to Motorola or otherwise, it's rather unnecessary. I'd suggest waiting before you pull the trigger on a sale of your Atrix 2, with the abilities we are fortunate enough to benefit from by our devs, this is why I opted to hold onto mine after purchasing the SGS3. For one I'm not being impatient.Impatient would be "hey you dev wats taking you so long i want new ROM" < This is impatient and arrogant. I never said anything like this,It was just a humble question.If you as a kid as some questions to your elder coz they know more does that count as being arrogant,impatient and rude ? I guess no.I asked very humbly as they know much much more than me.And again for the breakthrough as I said earlier yet repeating for nth time i am grateful to them and did not discredit or deny that fact.They have done much awesome work and changed the A2's scene.But for once just get in my shoes and try to think,and again if someone interprets this as disrespecting devs i really cant help coz i didn't.

I guess no.I asked very humbly as they know much much more than me.And again for the breakthrough as I said earlier yet repeating for nth time i am grateful to them and did not discredit or deny that fact.They have done much awesome work and changed the A2's scene.But for once just get in my shoes and try to think,and again if someone interprets this as disrespecting devs i really cant help coz i didn't.

You're right my friend, but the atmosphere and the people being what they are around this forum, you were always going to be flamed. I'd warned you.
In any case, there's not much anybody is going to be able to tell you. Things are uncertain and they take time...you know what I mean.
I wonder why anybody can't understand that Motorola leaving India does have a bearing on whether you want to keep your phone. I perfectly understand.
Anyway, long story short, on this forum, if you ask a question - you're spamming, if you don't know something - you're an idiot, if you you have a different opinion - you're being aggressive.

Edit: I really wasn't trying to be a jerk, but when someone - anyone - makes a post, they should expect to have it open for discussion. That's all I was engaging in.

Oh, I'm good. Trust me, my blood pressure is still within normal range. I was just clarifying that my comments were not of a "flaming" nature. Now, if others flame the OP over this, I'd have to align myself with Archmag3, in that he's got every right to ask a question here. With every question should come answers, unfortunately and at times frequently they happen to be befouled with opinion.

I never suggested that any particular persons comments were "flaming" in nature. So we're cool. BTW, "opinions" by themselves can never "befouled" or for that matter be true or untrue. That's something lots of people here don't understand. Hence, all the unpleasantness.

I wasn't arguing semantics. It's something that requires serious introspection among some guys here.

Just think like this..if moto is shutting down sales in india that means no one is ever goin to get a chance to own such an awesome phone like atrix 2..this phone is really awesome man..i am goin to hold on to my A2 (mine just two months old) till the last breath is out of my phone..and i would advice you to do the same..and service centres will work naa..so why worry??

I think the resale value will be adversely affected because of real or perceived lack of after sales support.
About chance to own a Motorola phone, I think that is less of a consideration as these days, everything is available on ebay India.
