I am considering using a Samsung galaxy 7 plus as a Car tablet install.
However I have tried searching on whether the front glass/bezel is glued to the LCD as I need to take it apart when installing.
Alot of the recent 7" tablets LCDs are glued directly to the gorilla glass which is a pain for my project.
Anyone who can shed any light on this?

When I was replacing my Galaxy Note II broken front glass I made a mistake tiny scratch on the screen itself, Im not sure if it called digitizer I mean the first layer under the glass, so my questions is can I fix this tiny scratch or not ? if yes what is the best and easier way to do it. Thanks:good:

Hi there.
I have a Replica Samsung Note 3 for quiet i time. (HDC Galaxy N9000 Note 3 phone Android 4.3 MTK6589T Quad core phone 5.7" 2GB Ram 16GB ROM)
After a mountain bike ride the phone started to open apps by itself.
There are some days i cant almost cant use it, others its almost normal.
I already removed the plastic protection from the screen and use a proper liquid cleaning solution.
Still the same.
Any sugestion?
Where a can find replacement parts?
I read about the screen may be under some pressure.
It only opens apps on both limits of side of the screen.
Thanks for your time
Hmm...
That's odd..
It happened to me but when I've had a screen protector along with softshell and it was bending the edges of screen protector...
Maybe Your screen or touch screen had bend a little due to heat or something (I'm just guessing...)
You could try loosen screws a little and see what happens... it may or may not help but maybe it's worth giving a try?
A cracked screen glass Flex 2 here.. Screen Touch still work like it should. Glass is badly cracked. Don't know this Flex 2 digitize on the glass or on the LCD like Samsung Galaxy phone? Googled without any result of replace glass only.
Digitizer only cannot be replaced, you'll need to replace the digitizer AND led. You can find the combo on eBay/Amazon for about $50-60. I'd recommend getting the digitizer/ led already mounted in the housing for about $10 more, it'll be much easier to replace.
So the other day I gained a large, visible crack across my screen, I know replacing the s7 screen glass only is very difficult but I saw a guy do it using some very thin cutting wire, designed to separate the LCD and the glass, here's the link to the video:
- So can anyone give any tips before I do this?
I have had my Galaxy S7's Front Glass replacement damaged heavily on a rate of 7/10. While the whole display still responds to touch inputs, the damaged glass atop the front cam ruins the quality of the photo. I went to several (non-samsung partner) repair centers and asked if they replace just the Front Glass and not including the AMOLED screen. All of them says that they'd have a complete replacement which includes the Glass, Digitizer, and LCD (doesn't S7 use AMOLED Display?) rather than just the Glass and asks me for about $110 - $160 for the fee.
I'm planning to visit a Samsung Galaxy Concept Store on our Local Mall to ask if they'd tell the same but i first have 3 questions:
1. Is it really not possible to just replace the Front Glass of the Screen without replacing the AMOLED Display? Because i'm planning to buy the parts online if i'd go for the cheaper alternative s i doubt it'd be a Gorilla Glass.
2. Doesn't Galaxy S7 use an AMOLED Screen and not an LCD one? i keep on reading that S7 uses LCD over AMOLED. or maybe it was LED not LCD, i'm confused.
3. If S7 does use AMOLED, is there a chance that the Non-Samsung Partner Repair Centers replace it with an LED Display?
Thank you everyone.
