V6 Supercharger - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Has anyone run this to 100%?
I tried using the scripts in Nocturnal_Special_Edition_1.1_Odex. I had no idea how long this process was going to take. Parts of the script asked me to edit a .jar file because the scripts have problems with odex and ics. I eventually gave up on the script altogether after getting to 50%. I also didn't notice any positive changes after what I had done.
Let me know about any of yalls experiences!?!?

Bro I did the same exact thing... Thought I could enable it and check off a few tweaks with mobile terminal. Gave up on that ****. Some of the more experienced users told me not really to mess with it as I'm still a noob.. if you looking for performance tweaks, try beast mode kernal... He did away with fast boot, so its totally twrp flashable.. awesome speed, awesome battery tweaks, and stable..

You don't really need v6 on dual core.It was usefull on older devices

I can confirm that after running at least the 3G tweak in that script that my mobile data speeds increased alot. My LTE speeds went from about 17mbps to 25-50mbps in the same area (my couch lol)

I highly recommended that rom! Its super fast, stable and beautiful...Xs did a great job on it

I get 51Mb download LTE speed,13mb upload without any scripts. It all depends on Rom,I guess.

I hope flashing another rom undid all the changes v6 made.

Pretty sure it's easy enough to delete - uninstall changes made by the script. There is a whole thread about it from the guy who designed it here on XDA.

Go through it and pick option 15 (I believe it is). That un-supercharges it.

Yes, flashing another ROM will indeed "undo" the changes done by V6 Supercharger because you have replaced all of the files it modifies with fresh ones.

[ROM][26-Jan-2012]Inspire Prochloron[Sense 3.0][Telus 3.13.611.4 base]

I've rebased my 3.xx ROM from the Telus 3.13.661.4 OTA release recently being pushed to Canadian customers of Telus. This is great for us Inspire users since the Telus DHD is 100% hardware compatible with our Inspires.
Changelog:
26-Jan-2012 - Re-based the entire ROM from recently released 3.13.661.4 source. Gave it a name (Prochloron--just liked the way it sounds). Using the stock kernel right now. Should work with any Sense3 kernels available.
08-Dec-2011 - Re-based the entire ROM from recently released 3.12.405.1 stock HTC RUU.
03-Oct-2011 - Removed some apps deemed exploitable by Android Police. Some minor kernel tweaks. Removed buggy HtcVideoPlayer.apk.
26-Sep-2011 - Updates. Added CRT animation. build.prop changes. New kernel config. Fixed Inspire audio.
22-Sep-2011 - Fixed in-call mic audio. Added a new kernel based on mdeejay's 2.6.35.14 Inspire/DHD kernel. Fixed "Charge Only"/"Disk Drive" being deleted from the status bar drop-down.
20-Sep-2011 - Initial Release.
Download:
http://hoxnet.com/droid/InspireProchloron_0.80.zip
MD5: 08febec7bfbf7fc087bf30b669d82077
It WILL wipe and format your data partition. Backup first! I prefer Titanium Backup.
Copy it to your SD card, reboot to recovery, and install zip.
I'm using it as my daily-driver on the Inspire and it's been rock-solid for the past several days.
More to come as I get feedback!
Thanks for this Gene!! I love a stock base and will take it for a spin within the next few days. Any chance of getting a md5 sum?

The ROM is running fine for me. It's not the fastest but considering its a test ROM its damn good. Nothing fancy to see unless you have never flashed a Sense 3.0 ROM. It's the exact same build that ARHD 6.1 is based on.

I think the problem might be that I installed an older Superuser.apk onto the /system mount and it doesn't play well with the update (which gets applied to the /data mount). You can use a root filemanager that can mount the system directory read-write and just delete /system/app/Superuser.apk, or move the one installed as an update (/data/app/com.noshufou.android.su-1.apk) to the system partition. Either way, you should clear superuser data in settings, applications, all,Superuser after the change and maybe a reboot will be needed. The latest is, I think, 2.3.6.3.
I've added it to the list of changes to make.

There are 2 versions: One for stock deodexed, and one for No CIQ Roms.
You can flash the No CIQ if you have a stock deodexed ROM. It contains the whole NoCIQ mod, so you will get that too.

Just download and flash in CWM

Weird, the Stock Deodexed Version threw me into a boot loop.
I am running a Deodexed Rom.. ehh..
But, i installed the NoCIQ Version, works like a charm and fixed the bootloop, lol
Thank you awesome work!
Forgot to ask!
Dose this work for 4G as well??
Thanks in advance!
Been waiting for this hack. Does not take, keeps it Sprint Hotspot . Running ACS ICS v3.5 EI22. Tried NoCIQ version.
EDIT: Was reading in the OP about a CWRecovery bug and may need to flash. Haven't tried it yet but it came up wireless hotspot and feel pretty sure about it. I didn't have this problem having to reflash it before, but now I am using ACS Recovery. Thank you so much for getting right on top of this cause it a hack I use a lot. It works so much better than another app for wireless tethering.

Unless someone has made a very recent breakthrough, limitations of the CWM flash procedure prevent the zip from doing the modifications necessary (unpacking an apk) to modify the existing files, so a complete overwrite (replacement) is the only option. Without the breakthrough mentioned above, this will always be the case

Just wanted to say thanks! I haven't had to use this feature till now. My roadrunner internet service is down so I put this into action and it works beautifully. It's just as fast as roadrunner turbo (maybe a itty bitty smidge slower ) and it's a solid connection. Calling up roadrunner tomorrow to tell them to kick rocks. I'm so thrilled about this. Having that extra $30 a month from not having to pay for internet service is really gonna help me out. I am so very thankful for this and the fact that it's not illegal to do this makes it even better. All you devs ROCK!!!! Thanks!
Actually hotspot is a paid service of Sprint's. So technically by using a hack to bypass payment it is theft of services which is illegal.

[MOD] Galaxy Nexus GPU drivers

Hey all,
The Galaxy Nexus runs the same PowerVR SGX540 GPU our phone does.
So, I decided to spend some time doing some research and a ton of trial and error, until finally coming up with a mix between our own drivers and G'nex's drivers, that gave me the best GPU performance I could muster. I've had a jump in framerate and smoother operation, and as is the case with most tweaks, it seems to be getting better and better as the time ticks by.
Flash in CWM, or if you wish, pull the egl file from the zip and push to system/lib then reboot.
Note: The original EGL file from our phone was from Raver's Valhalla Black(So thanks white/raver), and this is still considered a work in progress.
Looking at the ZIP, it looks like the only file that is newer is the libGLES_android.so vs. what I have in my bhundven 0.1 kernel. Should I replace JUST that file perhaps?
The other lib*.so files on my phone are 1 August 2008 vs. your zip's 28 February, 2008... which seems wrong.

in the process of trying it.. I think - DL'd and flashed around 4-5 this morning
thing is, I flashed, but the files inside the egl folder still have the same dates (8-01-08)
gonna push the newer cfg and .so then test the results with the 08 files
(my quad b4 scores are a pretty consistent 2430 ~ Antutu; 2907 (Valhalla Black 1.5))
Is there any reason this would affect wifi and the market? Ran update on Valhalla Final and then I am unable to load market. When trying to log in error states unable to establish connection. When I remove the files and revert to previous state market works fine.

[REQUEST] Script/mod/app to randomize bootanimation

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434950
In the gnex forum, they have an awesome script that randomizes boot animations. I think this is very cool and I was wondering if this already exists for our sensation, if not, maybe someone who knows codes can make a flashable script? It seems simple but our roms does not seem to have a init.d support... I have no idea what that is.
So, if this was a repeat of some thread, mod, kindly link it to the correct one. If not, maybe we can use this as some sort of petition? So feel free sign or say +1 or click thanks if this is helpful in some way.
Thank you.
Sent from my HTC Pyramid using Tapatalk
No one wants to make this script work for our sensation? I am surprised this doesn't exist yet at all. Unless I just missed it completely. I already tried asking...very nicely and without spamming...how to get it to work as the original gnex script creator said it can be used on ANY phone in ANY rom as long as the kernel has init.d support. But still no kernel Dev has answered this question. Oh well.

That's right. The script assigns a number to each bootanimation zip file and then every boot, you see a different animation. It seems really simple but I have no idea how to get it to work as I don't know much about android codes etc. I'm really surprised no one has picked up on this. I think it is so awesome!

Of course. I already tried. That's why I know it does not work. I'm currently on a rom with sebfms kernel. Either it is rom related or kernel but it definitely has something to do with init.d. folder in the system/etc folder. My current bootanimation is stored in system/media and the script is looking for the files in data/ local. The creator of script said it bypasses the system /media and uses data/local where various bootanimation zips are stored. I don't know. The script is not being called upon boot. I give up. Those who knows how to make it work are not exactly paying attention.

Those who knows how to make it work are not exactly paying attention.

Just taken a look at the script and it is good to go, all you need is your custom bootanimation.zip files in /data/local/bootanimations/
If the script is not being loaded on boot it is because your ramdsk (the other half of boot.zip, 1st half is kernel so kernel + ramdisk = boot.img) doesnt have inbuilt init.d script support
k8sh said:
Of course. I already tried. That's why I know it does not work. I'm currently on a rom with sebfms kernel. Either it is rom related or kernel but it definitely has something to do with init.d. folder in the system/etc folder. I'm sorry but if people can't read I will start to lose my temper.
It is stated in both the OP of the original thread and in my last post that;
1. You need a ROM that supports init.d script
2. Bootanimations should be renamed to whatever then placed in /data/local/bootanimations/
Seriously how hard is it to read 1 post above yours

Are you rebooting your device THAT often, that you need random boot animations?

You just randomly post unuseful and uninformative comments in threads to be a douche? You achieved your objective.
And yeah I reboot my phone since I go to recovery to flash zips. Ever heard of those? Apparently that concept eludes you.

Correct.
There is a app I came across called BootRandimation.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gflam.randimations&feature=search_result
I have never used it so I don't know how well it works, but it is supposed to do what you want.

Tried it but it didn't work. I only tested it real quick though. The developer should at least have a trial version as it takes longer than 15 minutes to know how to set it up and reboot. Thanks for the heads up on the app.

Just flashed the 60mb file from the link in op, works fine. But I am running aosp and bricked 1.6 kernel. If your phone runs init.d scripts at boot this will work. Is a nifty idea tho, cos I have 20 different animations so will be a surprise everytime I reboot.

Finally found a rom where init.d scripts are enabled. The script in OP works as it should. I'm on AOKP rom from eggyenergy on rootzwiki.

[WIP][PORT] Blade v4.6.0 - Android 4.1.1, Sense 4+

Blade v4.6.0
This is a ROM port from the HTC EVO One X by theDroidfanatic. You can see the original thread HERE.
As of today, 1-31-2013, this is NOT flashable!!! The updater script is still set up for the One X.
The reason I'm releasing this is because my Shift is down until my new flex cable comes in and I can't test anything so I'm asking for help. So far I've been through the majority of the ROM and I feel confident I've made a good start.
The ROMs I've used for parts are JellyBelly v6: Ultimate Edition and StockMod. I've also referenced Legendary-Infamous, MikRunny, and newRUNNY to see how they're put together as well.
I started by modifying Strapped365's JB Kernel in JellyBelly using this [GUIDE] How to port sense to non-HTC devices. Then using various other guides here on XDA, I've been modifying the port ROM to work on our device. I can put together a change log later after work. Now where I am at with this at the moment is the updater script. I've been through the rest of the ROM and think I have a good start but I haven't done anything in the META-INF folder. I am still reading up on how to write my own updater script but I'm not capable yet so those who want to help, this is my immediate need. In the past I was able to get a sense 4.0 One V port to boot on the Shift using an AOSP updater script but I think it may be necessary to write a new one so this will load right. I am a little unsure about the build.prop edits I've made going from GSM to CDMA so that needs to be double checked.
Any and all help is appreciated!
Thank you very much theDroidfanatic for your incredible work and permission to release this.
Change log
2/01/2013:
There is still A LOT of work to be done for this to boot.
Using JellyBelly v6 Ultimate, Changed the kernel using THIS and THIS.
I moved several apks from system/app to data/app to get the system folder down to 423MB
Changed the bootanimation
Changed the system lib modules by adding, overwriting files from base
Changed the system/lib/hw by adding, overwriting files from base
Replaced system/usr/keychars and system/usr/keylayout with system/usr/keychars and system/usr/keylayout from base
Went into system/etc and replaced vold.fstab, /wifi and /ppp with the ones from base
I'm not sure what to do with the Framework folder yet so I left it alone
Edited the build.prop
Also Reserved...
good luck with this, itd be great to see a functioning sense 4+ rom
Sweetness. I'd like to be a tester when you fix the update script.

Ill download and change the updater script. Really all that need changed are the mmcblk0pXX mountpoints. But that's not going to promise anything lol

Dude, it would be absolutely awesome to see a sense 4 rom on the shift. Props for putting all the time and effort into this, your shift will be in my prayers.

You guys are making me a little nervous. Keep in mind it may not work even when the updater script is fixed... others more experienced than I have tried to do this unsuccessfully.

Nervous? Nah if they don't read the OP its their fault. Also no matter how effed the updater-script is it shouldn't flash for anyone because of the update binary

Ok I've been trying to figure out how to move forward with this and all I can figure is to start fresh using my ego 4g. Fortunately, JellyBelly Ultimate is on the evo already. Thanks bilgeryan. If I can get it to work that way, surely we can port it to the shift. If any one wants to digin and do whatever your creativity leads you to do then by all means do it. I'd like this to be a community effort as much as possible. Especially "sense" I'm not a dev. There's A LOT I don't know.
