Hi,
some of them have seen my interest on this tab,
unfortunately, it seems it has gone a bit too far.
today,i made a reset through the parameters, and it stuck (had a custom recovery and root)
trying to hard reset did not help
now, i've got an 0x19000008 error when trying to erase userdata with hard-reset procedure
and i'm struck on iconia tab logo
trying to recover my backup using nikagl recovery without data partition did not help as it remains block
i still have access to fastboot
what is your advice on that ??
which trick might help or is it good for service ?
i have the same problem with you!
then welcome
my tab is at acer service from last monday. status is "under repair'

i installed the nikagl CWM recovery (version5.8.5), I entered the CWM and tried to wipe data/factory reset, it stuck!
i reset and back to CWM, this time i only flash the zip, but it stuck again!
after that i can't enter the system anymore, i'm stuck on iconia tab logo like you.
so i try to enter fastboot and install the stock recovery, then i use it to flash the update.zip in SD card, but every time the flash will stuck in 1/5 of the whole progress bar, I changed it with other rom zip, or even change the SD card, it didn't work anyway! but It used to be fine with my tab.
anyone can help us? :crying:
can you use fastboot and try this command
fastboot erase userdata
and
fastboot erase cache

I had a try, but it seems doesn't work.

ok, seems your data partition is corrupted.
the only escape way would be to have nvflash tools, which we currently do not have..
so two option:
1) wait until the dev manage to get a solution, with a unusable brick
2) send to repair center and possibly pay to have a working device..

when i use the command you gave, there're some text on tab screen:
white text: StorMgr Formatting UDA
red text: Failed to process command erase:userdata error ( 0X19000008 )
I think you are right! I can only wait.
thanks for your help
it seems that on some device, keeping trying worth the cost
so i would suggest that if you plan to wait, you should try from time to time some hard reset procedure (vol down + lock switch triggering on boot)
eg . http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad...er-Error-0x19000008-after-Factory/td-p/759121
good news, i just have an email from acer customer service.
they gave me a tracking number to get my device back
Nice
That was a quick repair. Does Acer charge you for anything (repairs or at least shipping)?
it seems that the whole thing was free, will confirm when i have the package
but at least i did not receive any quote before repairing..
and for the first shipment i'd received a free shipping card.
now, i hope that the tab will be completely fixed (partition bricked, and my headphone jack was non working)

waiting for your test report.
When you go to get your device back, is that possible to ask Acer for some Official Flash Tool or some thing like that?
that was my initial plan if they asked for some money (ok to pay, but with nvflash tool )
I already tried to ask Acer for a flash tool but they told me they cannot provide any. Updates will ony come OTA.
We have top hope that a tool will be leaked like for the Tegra2 devices.

Hello Everyone,
So I've been dealing with a P920 for the last 7 days trying to Flash it and it's not working.
1- Device is booting to Android but all applications are crashing ( unexpected error com.x.x ) force close.
2- I tried LG recover mode, phone flashed but once successful and rebooted, same error upon loading desktop.
3- Tried rooting the phone with SuperOneClick2.3 ; Rooting successful, upon reboot, rooting is lost
4- Downloaded KDZ original firmware V21A Europe based from lg-firmware site and used offline installation ( shttps + modified host file etc..) . Installation successful and flashing is OK; rebooting = same error on startup.
5- Downloaded firmware V10B and flashed it successfully. Rebooted, phone version is still showing V21A !
6- Rooted phone + installed CWM -> successful, rebooted, it's gone.
Now this is the first time since 10 years that I get into such thing and the device is getting me on my nerves.
Any idea or advice is much appreciated!
Well
Looks like a hardware issue. ROM, RAM, Internal memory. U need to find a way to delete partitions and re do them somehow. Have no idea if there is a software for that. I had it for my SGS. It should help.
Just repartition whole internal memory.
UPDATE:

Remember not to switch internet with external memory or u will brick it totally!

Hello MinedSafe; As I mentioned earlier, whenever I root the device and reboot, it's not rooted anymore. It is not possible to install CWM ( changes are not applied )
I have managed to root the device and tried the parted command, I get command not found.
I have noticed that once I get into the stock recover and wipe everything, I do not get the first welcome screen to setup the device, it's booting with the same error.
I have started to lose hope. Device is no longer under warranty
Have you try to recover it from LG mobile support tools ?

i try everything but nothing respon.

It looks like the partitions are damaged or eprom/rom ( no commands ) memory is gone. So the only way is to send this to LG service where they can upgrade/rapair with their 'hardware' tools. If you try on you own you might get to a stage where even they wont be able to fix it.
What kind of software you where putting in to it ? Froyo or GB ?

Another person, so its now more likely then when upgrading the partition table was screwed up. It could be a mistake in addressing the memory when flashing.

do you know if the bootloader is unlocked? if not, that may limit what you can flash and boot. are you wiping the data after flashing the firmware?
are you flashing everything in the stock firmware, or just parts?
if unlocked and didnt wipe, try fastboot -w
if locked, flash the newest firmware available, even that may not be good enough if the absolute newest isnt avaiable, then use the wipe command.
finally, i have no experience with your device. im just stating common practice from other motos i have owned.
Yeah, thanks for replaying, I did.unlock bootloader bootloader in order to better work with fastboot, but I'm pretty sure such command was included, d wipe one, as I followed several co.vibration of commands I found here at xda, thanks again for attention and time, what u mean is hard reseting by fastboot seen I can't by d phone in fastboot mode right?
What do u think? When ever u have d time 4 sure, maybe u recommend me to an expert, do you know one?

right
if you flash ALL the partitions in the stock file, and wipe (-w) with an unlocked bootloader, its extremely rare to not boot.

im actually quite knowledgeable with moto, just not your specifically.
there really is no special fix. if you flash all stock partitions, and all pass/install properly, there isnt much else you can do to fix it.

yea, that would be good, copy all the text from the fastboot terminal so i can see it.
kernel is flashed as part of the stock firmware. cwm is a custom recovery and thats not something we need to think about until its fixed.

Hey, @Pomar91, what our friendly fellow is telling you about was the wiping part. Did you do that? That might be the problem - the cause for your bootloop.

On the example of an entire firmware flash on moto G (which is my preferred way to do it manually, one by one command) you can see the lines including "erase" what my point was:
Code:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin

fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system xxxfilename
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot

Possibly some of the partitions had to be enlarged after KitKat. Numerous devices have been doing that step due to ever growing Android OS

Ok people, i didnt do the whole procedure again, as im sure i have done it properly. The erasing two last steps have been done two. I also used an auto restore script that contains all of the commands, and I have tried before successfully. For sure it includes erase data and cache, now I have found some problems, like preflash validation failed, and preflash validation for tz failed too, the rest just seems ok. So the problem with appear at Motorola screen while flashing in two pink lines I have captured for you. But I do have some other details. After unlock B logo, and Motorola logo, the one in blue, the phone does that part with the world, like that one that turns into many thins with the airplane, and the earth turning around, after it will just go to the black screen, were it will just remain. One of you said something about using Mfasboot and not fastboot it self, I don’t even know the diference, thanks, im sending shots about it. As I don’t know if this auto script I talked about actually works, im gonna retry manually to send u the shots, im using mfastboot this time I guess, I used the v2 zip on the rom file. So as u see I did not finish as the error appears the same preflash validation and for tz, as the same screen showed in the cellphone. That is it.
Another thing, im using 4.4.4 retail, I guess this is stock rom, maybe its all about that, thanks a lot friends, that s all I got.

is there any possibility you can post the actual fastboot dialogue right into the post? not a screen shot.
I had just installed cm13 nightlies onto my opo device and everything was working fine. I had left the phone to charge overnight and in the morning I had found it stuck on a boot loop. I have searched the forums and have found out I have a similar problem to the person in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/stock-opo-soft-bricked-off-night-t3145896 but I actually have my device as rooted.
I tried to wipe my device on twrp but get the error that I am unable to mount anything (cache, data, storage). I then went to the mount option in twrp and then found out that it stated that my internal storage was 0mb.
In then tried to flash an os onto my device using the fastboot but received an error "FAILED (remote: failed to erase partition) and thus was unable to do so.
Overall my bootloader and recovery still work and I am able to detect my device on cmd but I have no idea how to fix this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you, but I just ended up in basically the same situation. I flashed stock and hopefully it works. Still doing the first boot now. Definitely should get the warning out. No clue the cause and all of my data is gone, so no logs.

Hey I am unable to flash anything since my device does not even detect the internal storage properly and thus is unable to write files when on fastboot mode.

Give this a shot. There's a hard brick fix apparently. I luckly wan't completely boned, but there are fixes for partition tables, and that's one of them. There's another one floating somewhere here on XDA that I can't seem to find at the moment. Bookmarked that one though in case when I got the phone. I tend to break things, though almost never permanently.

I dont think I can use that method as I am not completely hard bricked, I can still access the recovery and bootloader so I think im only classified as softbricked .

You can always use a method that's MORE extreme than your brick state, just not ones that are less. You can still boot into something, so you aren't screwed, but if that doesn't work, let me know and I'll dig up the other hard brick guide if you can't find it. I know I'm staying away from CM13 roms from now on though.

Do you happen to know what firmware you are running? I'm wondering if that's part of the issues as I changed my firmware recently, and had similar issues. Just trying to sort the cause as best as I can.
Hey I followed all the instructions but on the last step the green text appears, a loading bar shows up and then the text flashes red and the loading bar disappears the ComEe is still visible but nothing seems to be happening, is this supposed to happen?
I have also tried to use qfil and that did not seem to work. Does this mean it is a hardware problem?

Hi all,
My stock ROM Oneplus 6 (3 weeks out of warranty :crying: ) became unresponsive today and crashed.
It failed to boot back in to the OS so I cleared cache - no better, then system settings - no better, then data - no better - but this time I got the Qualcomm crash dump mode.
I've used MSMDownloadtool to flash first - enchilada_22_O.09_180517, then after that did not boot i tried - enchilada_22_O.30_190403.
MSMDownloadtool 'worked' as far as I can tell, as all messages were positives (no errors) and the phone restarted
But unfortunately both have the same result, the phone is stuck on the android spinning dots - no Qualcomm crash dump anymore - small blessings.
I can get into both recovery and fastboot, but I'm at a loss as to what to try next.
I thought the MSMDownload tool was the nuclear option and would work - but no.
Would anyone have any suggestions ?
Thank you!
Dan
Try to flash a stock rom with fastboot, you can find a stock one in the forum and will find a batch file that will flash all the partitions for you, good luck

Thank you Chinaroad,
I'm sorry for the stupid question, but I thought the MSMDownloader tool was a stock ROM installed through fastboot - this is all new to me - do I need to follow a different method ?
Thanks again
Dan
The msm is a tool that flashes the stock rom at another level than fastboot, and yes as you said it's the ultimate solution and it's strange that it doesnt work for you, so since you can access to fastboot, try to flash it that way without using msm

I'm trying the flash-all.bat method, but the guide I'm using (and the program output) tells me the bootloader must be unlocked - of course it isn't.
I've tried Tool All in one to unlock the bootloader - but I get the error message Failed (remote: 'Flashing unlock is not allowed')
What step am I missing...
Sorry, and thanks again
Dan
it says flashing unlock is not allowed cuz i think it needs to be activated in dev menu of the phone, but since you can't power it up ..... . So lets comeback to MSM, are you sure all the files are there and you get no output error?

I've weakened and gone for an RMA - in some vain hope that they'll offer a warranty repair :fingers-crossed:
I've followed the guides for MSM to the letter, and it gave only positive feedbacks - but then just wouldn't complete the boot.
From reading these forums - anyone at the stage / with the symptoms I found myself with seems to have been resolved with an RMA
I guess if I'm an idiot and it was software, then the charge won't be huge, I'll suck it up - if I'm not and the issue was hardware then I'll make a descision when I know.
Thanks for your time, and I'll be sure to feedback !
Dan
Goodluck hope you fix it for free or at least not too much

One plus honoured my (technically expired) warranty and replaced the main board.
Great news, if a little late, I did already buy a OnePlus 7 Pro...

only motherboard replace solved this problem??
Hi good people at XDA. This is my first post on this website and I am absolutely hoping to receive help from you all to find a way out of the depressing and extremely anxious situation I'm in.
I was using my OP6 normally today and while I was typing something on Telegram the phone suddenly froze and after I re-booted it, it took me to the Qualcomm Crashdump screen.
My OP6 isn't tampered in any way (no bootloader unlocked, no TWRP recovery installed, nothing rooted).
At the moment, I can enter the fastboot mode while pressing volume up and power button.
The crucial thing is the data which I MUST RETRIEVE, can't afford to lose it.
Could y'all please suggest a way where the data can be retrieved or the phone can be revived without data loss?
I did read the forums on MSMDownload Tool but I believe it wipes off the phone, right?
PLEASE HELP!
If ADB ( read: USB Debugging ) got enabled on phone - what is the door to Android OS - then try this to pull out user-data stored on phone
Code:
adb devices
mkdir "C:\RECOVERED_DATA"
adb pull /sdcard C:\RECOVERED_DATA

Thanks @jwoegerbauer for the prompt response. I can surely try that. Considering that I'm fairly a noob, could you please share in a bit detail, the steps I need to take before executing those commands?
Also, since there's a tiny chance that USB Debugging may not have been enabled, what's the alternative that I consider?
Thanks!
Since I must retrieve the data in internal SD, can this help me enter the OS?:
1. Extracting the boot.img of the latest version that's currency installed on my OP6, from payload.bin
2. Testing if this boot.img can revive me into the OS by fastboot boot boot.img.
Also, one pressing doubt: does a fastboot flash boot boot.img command erase internal SD contents??
Please help!
Any help, anyone?

My friend has the same problems. Did you find any ways to retrive data? I found a way to use msm tool but it surely erases all data and its his college memories so I'm trying to find alternate ways. Does the msm tool work on bootloader locked phones?Sorry that I am of no help to you. I too am a novice

No man. Still looking for some solutions. Read umpteen threads only to see that MSMDownload Tool erases data because it first unlocks bootloader (which mandatorily wipes data), flashes system files and then relocks it.
But I'm pretty sure, there exists some way out to flash a OP 6 with locked bootloader but retaining userdata partition intact.
Hoping to receive some solution here from this community of Android geeks.

Hey man, were you able to do anything abut it? I'm in the exact same situation. Don't mind losing the phone if I'm able to save the data.

Hi. So, I gave my phone to a phone repair specialist. Apparently he changed some IC, which made the phone to boot up to the system. which is what allowed me to take the data backup of the phone.

Oh, that's awesome. I have some hope then. Do you mind telling me what your location is. I'm based out of bangalore and wondering I'll have to take it to your specialist incase I don't find any solution locally. All others have been saying they were asked to replace motherboard by Oneplus service centres. Please let me know of your repair centre as well. I'll try to atleast speak to them. Thank you so much

How much did it cost? They changed IC and since then your phone is working properly?

Bro can i have your number please i m stuck with the same problem since last year but not got the solution to boot up my phone normally its always showing crash dump mode. I tried everything but nothing worked for me.
like many even i too ugraged my op6 to oo11.1.1.1, rooted was running well for a week till i encountred face crash dump mode error
Stupid thing i did was instead of flashing fastboot oos 10.3.8 i tried to flash msm 10.3.8 which didnt solve crash dum and also locked my BL.
now nonof the msm could solve crash dump nor we can unlock BL bz we cant toggle OEM in Dev option,
i discussed with @L0ND0NB0Y regarding this, his suggestion would be to take a backup of oos10.3.8 config partation of a working rom, then use edl to flash it on affected op6, by that way we can unlock bootloader and flash fastboot rom.
we need to fide a working op6 and back config which @L0ND0NB0Y can guide us. if it works he ll creat a post to solve crashbump and BL locked issue.
if this wont work, we may need to wait for msm oos11 file.
update : managed to solve crash dump by flashing msm international 5.1.5 but ended up getting black screen with white notification light, if my op6 had BL unlocked all i had to do is to boot stock/twrp recovery and factory wipe.
