OMG! I totally messed it up... [:'(] can anyboby please help me??

i am using HCL me G1 Tab (Android 4.0.4 ), Kernel: 3.0.8+.Recovery System 4[3e]. this is my 1st android device, bought it 1 week ago. I am new in Android World.....
I installed Superuser.apk (v3.1.3) [using normal apk installation method]..... Then I got root access in FX File explorer and Titanium backup... Today I found another SUPERUSER.zip (v3.2 signed)..
I tried to flash it from recovery but didn't work... So I just extracted zip files in following folders and replaced the previous ones:
1st mistake, i just copied superuser.apk to /system/app folder [using FX explorer]
2nd, replaced 'su' in /system/bin with the new one.
3rd, copied contents from xbin folder to /system/xbin
Done! and now Superuser not working......
Now u guys can feel what i've done.... just messed up every thing.. Superuser.apk has become a system app, so i can't remove it.. can't delete it because I lost root access in FX explorer. su command not working, because doesn't have permissions... Titanium backup not working... etc.. :crying:
i have some other problems [before all these happened]... after installing andriod sdk and adb drivers, adb commands don't find my device. so i can,t push 'su' again into device.. SuperOneClick stop responding after *daemon started successfully*....
can't install SuperUser in recovery mode.. coz i always get the error:
-- Install /mnt/external_sd ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Can anybody please help me??? I know its my mistake but still i hope for some help from u guys... Please tell me what to do now [when nothing is working]....

Thanks for ur reply.... i tried what you told... but it didn't work. now it seems that no pc toolkit can solve it because adb can't find my device.. so when i ran runme.bat, it stuck on *daemon started successfully*
i tried other toolkits also.. adb shell commands, superoneclick, etc.... but result is same.

yea i m trying... but android is new for me. problem is that superuser has become system app.. can't even unroot it coz system is not rooted. :cyclops:

Can you just re-flash your ROM ? I can't promise you it will work, but if you just clear caches and /system, then you shouldn't lose anything on the internal memory and can start over.

sorry 4 late reply.. I actually couldn't find any rom for my device. I have tried diff ROMs, but everytime got some signature error..

Also try installing drivers with and without battery phone off and phone on.
This is a 99 percent total shot in the dark.
I know your new to the Android world Keep this in mind for the future with all android apps "if it works don't f*** with it."

Its pretty simple, just reflash ur phone or simply try to restore it, every android device has an emergency downlod mode, if u can figure out urs, u can simply connect your phone to the pc in edm and input ur imei code or serial number, and abt 45 mins on a 150kB/s speed you will have your device back to normal

which software sholud i use in pc??? Odin pc?? in odin some files are required.. i dint find such files for HCL...can i find it anywhere in my device???

Firts u should find u original firmware for u phone them use odin to restore.
Remember odin firmware are .tar files
So that way u know.
And course put u phone in download mode

Okk... one problem is solved... :highfive: Only Unlockroot tool recognized my device,, i have rooted my device again with it.. Root problem is solved, it was a grand problem.....

hi, this is vinay, i want to install google play in hcl g1, the device is not rooted, i have tried installing google play apk but they are not working, can u pls help me, how can i install google play in HCL G1, i dnt have any custom rom or adb driver for it,

OK Guys, I'm in big trouble right now. I wanted to install a Kernel. I was on Viperrom 2.1.0. Something went wrong and my phone went into a bootloop. After trying a couple of things(like installing another Kernel) Everything went from bad to worst. Now my whole Internal Memory is erased and there's still a bootloop. Luckily I can access my TWRP Recovery, but i can't mount my sdcard, because it says thats it's unable to mount sdcard. How can I transfer a rom to my sdcard so I can install it?

Sounds like your internal memory may be corrupted. Have you tried flashing stock recovery?

Relock your bootloader
Flash stock ruu
Start from scratch
Always worked for me

Could you please explain it a bit more on how to do al that?

Installing the original recovery worked for me. The only problem is that when I install a custom rom my phone still goes into a bootloop.. SDcard can be mounted though..

If you can get in in recovery(TWRP) try to delete SD card or phone storage and than mount and transfer the rom that you want.

if you want me to help you my brother, take my advice, i was an iphone heavy user but now i am 100% Android fan-boy, when i had the iphone previously i have encountered a prob like this, after days of heavy research in addition to my experience, you need simply to reset your phone motherboard !!! you can do this simply by two methods :
1- You need to self open your phone or by an experimenter and unplug your motherboard/battery cable, wait for 1 to 2 minutes and plug it again the phone will work again do kernel install and Bla Bla Bla .....
2- It may be take some time, but, it also works, leave your phone woke until the battery is completely drained, leave it for more 1 week to make sure that you haven't any current in the battery, charge it again fully and power on it, it should work and do the rest ...
NOTE : i have been an iphone repairer, i've tried to two methods and it works fine .

Then you are not installing rom correctly--
So, you can flash a rom thru twrp, you can mount sdcard also, right?
I would back up sdcard to pc at this point to be safe
you probably have no nandroids on phone or pc, correct?
you also are not giving enough info as to kernels and roms you are flashing and exact steps to do it
are you S4 version on phone
most likely issues are you are not wiping all, including system 3x. and not flashing boot image with rom
don't do any iphone stuff--

I do also prefer the method of relocking the bootloader and flashing RUU. That always helped me when everything went wrong...

Man are you trolling or what--
In post 1 he says he can access TWRP and can't mount sdcard.
In post 5 he now has original recovery and can mount sdcard.
And we are not sure telling the OP to take is phone apart when he is having issues flashing a rom is the best idea. You may be advanced, he "may" not be.

Hey guys when i was flashing a new rom i mistakenly wiped the whole internal storage and /system folder now there is no OS and also sideload and adb push fails giving me a device not found error. i have installed the drivers too!! guys please help me!! i also unlocked bootloader now no warranty!! itz been a day since i bought it!! pls help me ppl!! is there a way to mount the internal storage as usb or sumthng?? i have twrp and unlocked bootloader.

Flashing a ROM effectively writes over /system anyway, you need to do some reading to understand what you are actually doing. But basically you need to boot into bootloader and use fastboot not adb. Many tutorials exist so a search on xda will be all you need to so the rest.

now my device isnt charging and not booting up!!! am thinking of replacing it. is it psbl? coz i unlocked my bootloader but i have a 30 day replacement guarantee and my device isnt turning on now?? itz been 2 days since i bought it.

I would ask you to get it service centre to flash the system again, and PAY them the normal service charge. You can ask the service centre guy to install a new motherboard , because i think that will come with Memory and OS pre-installed.
I am not expert on this matters, suggest you to search deeply on XDA or wait for an Expert to answer otherwise; i have listed the options available to you.
You could also try leaving it on charger for a day to see if charging starts.
Since your whole memory is wiped clean, it basically a Bricked device.

Just get the right StockRom and flash it via PC ...thats all ...install all necessary drivers ...and go on ...if system is formatted then no need to go to service center ....

First he needs power in his Battery

[Q] Corupted system app. Please HELP!

Hy. My name is Steven. Yesterday i bought an Lg L Fino d290. I rooted it with purpledrake and i installed Titanium Backup. I restored some backups from my old phone (an Chinese one : Colorovo City Tone Vision). I restored Contact storage, Phone storage and some other apps. After I rebooted the phone an error pops up "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped". I tapped on "ok" and imediately it apeared again. I pressed ok again and still apeared again and again. I freaked out and i realised what I've done.. Then i delelted all app chache and rebooted the phone. Nthing changed. I entered in stock recovery mode ( i can't install cwm on my phone) and i whiped all data and cache. I rebooted the phone and nothing changed. The error dialogue is still there. I tryed to install Titanium Backup again to see what i can do but it didn't work because the error message poped up contiously. Even if i install the app from Magazine Play or from an apk file it doesn;t work. i have adb connection but not many commands are working. for example install.. I don't know what to do.. the phone keep showing me the error with and without the sim card. I can open the phone app and the contacts but i can't open the message app. Please help me. What shoul I do? I knnow i dit something wrong.. Excuse my bad english

I don't know exactly what the problem is, but it seems as you states, that something is corrupted. Therefor i think it's better that you try to do a full restore with the LG software and reinstalling it. yes, lvg2800 bro is right. u have to flash stock rom via pc.

Don't ever restore system data from one phone to another or one rom to another. They each handle this type of stuff differently. What happened is that when you restored you phone and contact data it used a different set up and corrupted your new device setup. Your gonna have to wipe the device now and start over. Lesson learned

How can i restore the firmware. the lg mobile supert tool tels me that is up to date and whe i click to repair it tells me that everything is ok... please from when can i get the stock rom

You could try wiping the data from the stuff you restored in TIBU. Or by doing a factory reset

i have made five factory reset. i can't event install titanium backup because the error message pops up... i shearched the whole internet for the firmware (

To be honest I dont know what to tell you at this point. If a factory rest doesn't work then and you can't restore the default rom I would contact t the company you got it from.

To be honest I dont know but it's your only shot. This device a seldom used and not developed for so it's either that or toss it.

You can try a KDZ firmware, search for LG L FINO FIRMWARE LIST on google and you will find it, download for you correct model (D290) flash it via KDZ and I hope it work...

thanx for helping. i have a question. i found this: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=103 . there are some firmwares for my phone but in lg support software it tells me tha i have the D9010a software version. can i flash any of them?

No, download only the firmware for you model, If was D290 download the hungary version if was D295 (like mine) download CIS/CIS or another of them...
Note the number of firmware...

In LG Spupport Tool it tells me that is have the software D29010a and my phone is D290N. What does it mean that "10a"? On the site I gave you last time at HUN firmware version it writes "10b" not "10a" and "D290" not "D290N". Can I flash the HUN firmware or those details are important and I can't? Thank you!

10a is the version of firmware i think, no problem if you flash 10b, the only problem is that it version v10b have difficults to root, but if you don't whant do it, its perfect to you

I understand. So how could I flash it? I have de kdz software and the firmware but i can'make an adb connection because i can't acces the settings window. Can i use the download mode or what can i do? Thank you!

I SOLVE IT! Suddently in LG SUPPORT TOOL it apeard that i cand update from D29010A to D29010D. Thank you very much for helping. after i repaired it i noticed that sometimes when the screen is off and i press the power button the phone reacts in about 5 seconds. this only happends sometimes. what cand i do? this is not a lagg problem.

23GB System Data Usage?? internal memory shrunk to 8GB

I just noticed that after a factory restore, my device shows 23GB system data used. Is this normal?
Free space is only 7.45GB even though this is a 32GB model.
I'm not sure what it was before, but only noticing after flashing the H959 firmware.
Does anyone else have this issue?
EDIT: it seems that my device shows a total size of 8gb when connected to pc.. but in settings > storage it shows 32gb with 23gb used by system data

No. I have 13GB free with a bunch of apps installed.

it seems that my device's sd card somehow resized itself to 8gb. I have no idea how to fix this.

Hoping for some feedback on this.. I installed parted on the phone to take a look at the partitions
This seems really confusing:
48 5755MB 31.2GB 25.5GB ext4 userdata
25.5GB is being used for userdata after a factory reset.

Do you have a lot of music and vids in your storage?

this is the storage being used after a factory reset, so with absolutely no data on the phone, apparently 25.5GB is in userdata somewhere

So it seems that this is caused by flashing the 955 rom on a non-955 device. I guess it has to do with the 16gb/32gb storage space difference.
So moral of the story: If you don't have a 955, don't flash a 955 rom.
...That aside, does anyone know how I can fix this? flashing back to the original rom doesn't work. Does this mean the partitions are permanently screwed up? Will there at least be some hope when a custom recovery becomes available?

I'm in the same boat. After flashing 955 rom on my 959, there becomes 23.9 GB of system data occupied on my drive. Maybe if the bootloader is unlocked, then we can edit the partitions, but for now, it'd be gone for good. My plan is to wait till the official 959 15A rollout and then go to service center and blame the update made my drive occupied with junks. .. hope it works.

seems like there's a fix to the problem. but Google Translate does a terrible job to make me understand what they're saying. And their attachment is also not available to me coz I'm not a registered member. Can you help us more with the solution?

as far as it make sense to me, what they've written there is you need to run the app and the phone will automatically rebooted. if the phone rebooted successfully back, then the fix would failed.
in order to fix successfully, the phone must show an error. then you can flash a 959 rom to complete the fix.
so far I've tried, the phone always successfully rebooted. I saw "/system/bin/sh: su: not found" error. So I guess the phone must be rooted. I'm on V10D which I'm not sure if it can be rooted. Well, at least .. we know this thing can be fixed. let's try to root and try again.

2nly test pass on my H959,you'll better not try on other device,maybe this can destory your partition

my device is H959 but I'm on version V10D which i don't know how to root. ..
Edit:
OK, I'll downgrade to V10C and then try again. Hope that would work.

confirm that you have installed correct LG drive,and switch on USB debug
if your phone restarted in 5 sec and with no error tips ,that mean falled,then you need to run this tool one more times until your phone hint you like 'setup error' and cannot into desktop,or your phone cannot power on,then just neet to flash KDZ of correct verson.32G will be back when it done.

now on V10C and rooted. when i run the repair exe, i got this error "error: device not found". the phone is still rebooting successfully. :crying:

yes, it's confirmed. and it works!!!! it works for apparently no reason :laugh: I tried repeatedly as per the instruction, and finally the phone rebooted into safe mode. then I put it back to download mode and flash the latest firmware (V10D-SEA-XX) and now the 23.9 GB System data is reduced to 9.44 GB. !
