u will have to buy a new one :/
and yea they wont be able to find whether u flashed million roms or not,.. just flash a stock rom via kies or odin

Same With me
Going to buy new battery
No other choice

any online store offering Battery I am getting oem in 500 Rs Need Orignal Atleast i can have warranty on that \m/

Samsung E-store
Have the battery but i didnt find any 1350 mah batter 1500 is available there Though
Service center is near by me thinking to buy from there
I wont flash Stock anyways Now As there is no warranty for battery and warranty itself is expiring in a month
Dont know Will they sell battery or not

bro.. i think samsung didn't warranty hardware, if it is damaged by ourselves.. and if you want to go to service center, firstly use stock rom and reject your sdcard..

Turn off your fon
Enter the store
Open the phone's cover and remove the battery and show them that the battery is not in good conditcondition
And tell them that current battery backup is pathetic and ypu only get ard 3hrs of battery life or something like that
That worked for my friend

[Q] Returning a rooted/modified phone?

So tomorrow I'm returning my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
I'll be returning it to the official AT&T retailer from where I purchased it.
For the sole reason of getting an HTC Inspire 4G instead.
Now..
I called the rep who sold me the phone.
He said I can return it, he'll waive the restocking fee and when asked if I have to reinstall the stock rom and fully restore it to factory condition he simply said "Bro, you don't have to. I don't give a f*ck what you have on the phone"
But i'm not sure if this guy is legit or simply doesn't know sh*t.
This phone is rooted, updated, and nearly all the AT&T bloatware removed.
Is there anyway I can be charged with some sort of penalty later on even though the rep said it's ok for me to return the phone in this condition?

lol .. prolly the latter ...
if you have the free time on your hands id do it in your place
If I were you I'd flash a stock ROM before returning it to AT&T.
yah i think it 's better if you return it to the same state when you receive it.. flash it with x10's stock rom ... before you return it ... but i dont think they will charge you with the phone being modified
Might as well do it, it's not exactly going to take you that long, then there's virtually no chance of being screwed later.
You should definitely do that. Also, there is a chance that he doesn't care but if the phone gets sent somewhere to be restores and they haave your name on file with he phone and stiff, it might void the return and they could charge you for it and ship the phone back.
I'm thinking of returning the Atrix but I only rooted it so you can't really tell something is done. I'm going back to stock anyway though.

I asked the guys at service center and they told me there's no problem in the availability of spare components or motherboards for Galaxy R.
I don't know why this is happening with some of the guys on this forum.
They are being absolutely foolish and must have got through insane loss due to HORRIBLE stock India firmware and must have replaced motherboards of 100% of the units coming for repair as they can not officially install other country firmware and no other firmware is available for India!
Imagine the kind of losses they have gone through just because they had a buggy firmware! I don't understand why the dev team who developed such firmware wasn't fired immediately and a new firmware written or the other country firmware ported to India.
I can't do anything other than pulling my hair seeing such a silly situation when they stopped selling these phones and later offering refund when you go with a dead phone which again could well be due to the horrible firmware slowly eating the phone through continuous freeze/reboot cycles.
TERRIBLE!

So do you think this is because of INDIAN firmware, if we flash I9103ZSKK5 (2.3.6) which is non INDIAN firmware we can save our mobile from these kind of issues..
It has nothing to do with firmware , but probably the tegra .
Herpderp Defy.
The problem I think is not in Tegra otherwise many other handsets using Tegra would also face similar issues.
The problem could be due to a faulty batch of Galaxy R s manufactured from the Samsung plant itself. And that batch could have been unfortunately destined for India.
Not every handset in India has these problems, so I think only a faulty batch is the culprit, as not everyone is facing the issues.
If everyone in every handset had been facing these issues then the model would have been taken off the market.

i am also assuming the same i found in so many blogs mainly INDIAN handsets are only getting problems which are released in 2012..
Had you guys rooted your phones? Had customer ROM/Kernel's installed? Wonder if the either of these have made the phone die, or wonder if its the hardware batch?!! Hmm?!!! What was the date on the box?
Also, if you had rooted it and had custom ROM, Samsung guys agreed for the refund??
+1 cooleagle..
imo its got nothing to do with faulty rom or faulty processor.. just that that piece was a faulty h/w piece..
i never had a single reboot or freeze with my indian rom.. but i am currently at infected v1..

Yeah probably faulty hardware. Its good that they are getting the full refund. But, when in such a situation and you have installed different ROM/Firmware/kernel and your phone does not even boot up. You don't have option to even restore back. So, was asking guys whether they had rooted the phones and still they are getting the refund as Sammy guys also had no way to check it up?!!
I want to know if the Galaxy R is root,
and the phone hardware is broken,
Samsung service center will repair the phone in the warranty?

My phone freezes every other day, Touchscreen does not respond, My screen weirds up and selects **** on its own, I cant hear a person on the other side sometimes when I call...I have to reboot it to get it solved. Is the firmware faulty, or is it a hardware problem. Please revert back. I have been trying to adjust with these problems for the past 4 months hoping for a firmware update. Help me, Should I go to the service centre and ask for a replacement. And yes I have not rooted it with any ROM's it is as stock as it can get.

I suggest stick with the phone for a month or so.Even I face problems with my phone occasionally. The ICS update is expected within a month which I feel will solve the bugs which have been affecting our phone. If you are still not satisfied after the update then you can think of asking for a replacement/refund
That was quick! But then, correct me if I am wrong the warranty is for 6 months?
And I am not sure if we are going to be updated it with ICS in 2 months.

As far as I understand the warranty on the battery and accessories is for 6 months, the handset itself is secure for 1 year.So no worries there. And the ICS update is expected within the next 1.5 months.
The point is if the bugs are to such an extent that they are really hampering your everyday usage then you should get it replaced soon. In my case I need to restart my phone probably once a day and it really doesnt affect me that much
I hope they come up with a update soon enough. They don't even have the courtesy to come up with a 2.3.6 update to fix these bugs.
It is quite annoying when i have to reboot my phone. It takes a while to reboot.
Anyways, Thanks and Cheers bud!
No such problem faced by me.
My touchscreen was giving some issues and stopped responding altogether in a particular region, so i went in to the service center and my Galaxy R was repaired in about 30 mins. The whole LCD unit was changed.
And no such problems (reboots, hanging of phone) have been faced by me! I am on stock Indian firmware 2.3.5 (Latest here) and i have only rooted it, no custom kernel for me.

Verizon S3 Wont turn on after proper rom flash

Ok, Phone was rooted suscessfully, Unlocked bootloader, was running a 4.2.2 Rom.
Buddy found the MS HD 10.0 Rom and wanted to try it. US phone. I looked at all the details and didnt see anything about it not being compatable.
Flashed the rom, went through all the GUID steps selected roms , styles etc etc, and It said completed "click here to reboot" So i did so.
Went black screen and now wont DO ANYTHING. cant get into download mode, recovery, a vibrate out of the phone, anything. Took the battery out for a min and plugged it in and get the orange light. Put the battery back in and STILL NOTHING. Please help! Buddy phone and he needs it
It's best to think of the international gs3 and us gs3 as two different phone. Because they are.
Flashing firmware meant for a different phone will result in a hard brick. Sorry

So its Done? :/..... He has a best but warranty . any way they can tell its been software tampered with at this point? So he can get a free one lol
As was said above, MS HD ROM is for the international S3 (i9300). It is important to make sure you are in the right forum before downloading and flashing any ROMs. Unfortunately, many still make this mistake. The only way to fix is to replace the phone or send it to these guys:
http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/
You can try and send it for JTAG repair (places like mobile tech) and they may be able to revive it.
But I'm not sure if places like best buy can positively confirm it was a bad flash if the phone is completely dead. I wouldn't think so but I'm not 100%

How about the Download Jig
If you are talking about Black Tie Insurance from Best Buy then you are fine and this is not fraud. Insurance is for boo boo's like dropping, smashing, flashing failures, drop in the toilet...all of that. They do not care if phone was rooted or misflashed. Insurance is not fraud, trying to get free replacements from the carrier under warranty by lying is.

The BS country called Croatia.

The N4 that i returned (Android 4.2.2) wich runs PA 3+ whit franco kernel has very very wierd battery it drops about 8% trought night all wakelocks was on minimun,greenfiyed,3G on great reception here,no GPS on.
I handed device to one know friend who has mobile service firm of good reputation here and told him to replace battery.
He sent device to LG in Zagreb then he called me today to tell me that Costum ROM f.... up battery.
I told him that is BS.
Then he says how i know better then LG diagnostics.
Again i called him to say that i asked to replace battery not to flash stock because i am not willing to pay for that.
I mean Costum ROM to f.... up battery that is pretty stupid to say even the N4 i have ATM runs same PA whit franco and no problems 1% drop overnight whit 3G and GPS on.
I never beleve those pesky services i always like to poke them.
So what do you think guyz?
pretty dumb of you to send it back without stock everything on it. This is 100% your fault if you wanted any type of service from LG

I agree on that but this one Nexus 4 doesnt warranty and thats why i did this.
I knew its battery thing doing it i would replace myself but i dont have tools here ATM.
The battery is known for dropping big amounts of % while taking pictures, phantom touches and more.
doesnt matter, your phone wasnt in a condition where you couldnt flash everything back to stock. you modified the OS, they aren't obligated to service it. Most companies are like this no matter the country.

I did not received warranty for that device man so i didnt care for full return to stock+unroot+OEM lock.
If i had warranty i would do that.
your logic doesnt work with servicing. Think what you like, but youre going to spend more time on the phone, emails, etc than just putting it back to stock; which is a 10 minute job
LOL man.
First of all phone wasnt sent for warranty the phone mentioned was sent to replace battery and that i said to service man.
I told him it runs CostumROM and replace the battery and how much it costs.
If were reading carefully you would know how retarded it is.
Neither i have warranty for that device so there is no free fix.
my stance still stands. It doesnt matter who you sent it to to get serviced; just flash to stock to make it one less thing they can argue about. Its. That. Simple.
And dont try to call me out on not being able to read carefully. Everyone that posted in the reddit thread still said the same thing as I.
almost all of the custom service will do it like that.
so we always flash back to stock before we return it to manufacture. if return is with some custom rom. some times a few of them will refuse to provide service for you.
if there's some issues with your device. they will say that's the rom's problem. you should use stock rom
I think this thread has gone far enough....I think the answer is that Croatia is not a BS country
It's full of nice beaches and good places to eat too.

[Q] Question about Cyanogenmod, TWRP, And sending my failed device to manufacturer

Hey guys,
This is my first post, but I have lurked here for a long time. I just have a huge problem I am facing now, and need your input.
Last October, I bought a new LG Optimus G E973 at Bell, in replacement of my (dreaded) iPhone in favor of an android device (customization, developing, etc).
I never really had any issues with it till the other day. The battery died in it, and when I went home to charge it...nothing happened. No blinking red light at the top, no LG logo, nothing at all, literally.
Now I went to Bell and my phone is covered under my Manufacturer Warranty. Only one problem...I have a custom rom and recovery on it. Cyanogenmod, and TWRP.
I am debating on whether or not to send it in to them, because I have tried everything to get it to do ANYTHING, but it just wont...switched chargers, tried to connect to pc, mac, etc.
So I am wondering if I cant turn it on, they wont be able to either, and thus just send me a new phone. Or, they will fix it, turn it on and show that it had CGM and a non-stock recovery, and then maybe charge me for the repair? Or should I just go to a tech and pay however much eh wants foor me to fix it...
I really hope I can send it in to them..as I am quite broke right now, and cannot afford to pay a technician to fix it. I knew that installing CGM and a custom Recovery would void my warranty, and I am not saying that I was clueless to thuis. But do you guys think I have a chance in hell to get it replaced?
Any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Gor.
They wont just fix your phone and ask you for money... they will let you know what it's gonna charge you and then do furthur process..
U can very easily claim that u r under warranty and no notification were given to you about the cost...
Anyways... have you tried different battery?
Let me know

Hey, thanks for responding.
Im not quite following you on the whole warranty thing, but I haven no new battery to trry in it. I am under warranty, im just concerned if they will not process it because of the phones software. But is it possible they might just send me a new phone?
