I received my Malata dock this week, and have been using it for charging so far (nothing else connected to the dock but the power connector)
After docking, I'm frequently unable to wake the tab after it sleeps, and have to long press the power, at which point it resets.
I'm running tnt lite 4.1, but tried with 3.14 and had the same results. Anyone else seeing similarities with their docks?

Try flashing a new kernal I use these and I don't have the problem anymore

Good idea, will give a new kernel a shot, thanks!
It should fix it and you can do it right from your tablet

OK, I did the kernel flash. Sure hope it clears up this problem. Will report back after some extended dock time. LOL
Thanks for pointing us to these kernels Joe!

Seems much better with that kernel so far, definitely worth a try if anyone else is having this problem!
Same here, after over 24 hrs testing new kernel, no more SOD upon removal from dock. I think this can be posted as a definite [SOLUTION] for this problem.
It would be nice if someone would start a [PROBLEM / SOLUTION] rollup thread that could be stickied.
I would if I had the time. Any takers?

Hey guys the all the info that I have posted is in the development section I am just on the forum and the irc channel all the time so that's how I get the info just keep looking around and usually someone has already encountered your problem and has possibly found a fix. The g tablet has excellent people that look and are willing to help
Hey xda followers!
I have a hardware problem with my Transformer since the beginning and was too lazy to change it by a new one...
My problem is that I use my device with no problem but sometimes I am loosing touch inputs...
If I let the Transformer go into sleep mode alone and unlock it, I have to force lock and unlock again to have good touch responses back...
Then I can have a good session of 30 minutes of use without any problem and then, randomly, touch input precision is lowering, until I can't use it anymore and I must lock and unlock rapidly again...
Very annoying problem for sure...
But today I decided to search through google, forums, xda, to have a beginning of solution to my problem.
And I found THE Touchscreen Booster application.
It's an application that was made for Viewsonic G tablet at the origin. The famous Bumblebee discovered it at first so thanks to him for that. And the thread talking about that is from gojimi. He modified the application to be more easily usable. So thanks to him too!
Being an android application and having titanium backuped all my applications, I thought: why not trying!
So I installed it and launched it... AND... TADAAA! Just incredible. It worked, no problem at all, no force close, no freeze, nothing.
AND: touchscreen inputs are incredibly smoother, sensitivity has been greatly improved, response time between writing letters is better, multi touch is improved... It's just paradise. I don't know if you tried Ipad but the result is that type of sensitivity...
This application can be used by all types of roms and for people who have problems with touchscreen sensitivity or just want a bigger one
Please leave here your feedback, positive or negative, and remember, do it at your own risks, I am not responsible of the potential problems after applying this application.
It worked for me, my Transformer had never been so smooth, so why not yours!
Maybe you will have to launch the application some times, when you feel that sensitivity was better before, or after boot... But you can put the application on your desktop and touch the button FixMe!
Share, enjoy, and say thanks

Seems to have worked for me....the keyboard doesn't seem that much more responsive though...the screen transitions are alot more smooth.
Thanks for this find!!!!

Happens to mine sometimes, I just turn the screen off with the power button, and then back on and its fine again
Thanks for the apk though I`ll try it out
Wow, nice. My touchscreen was a little slow and not very sensitive to touch input. running the app has helped quite bit.
Omg this is perfect.
Can you link the original thread.

i am curious if this will have an effect on any of those handwriting apps we know and love.
Do you need to root to use this?

This probably edits something in build.prop and other system files, so yes. I'll confirm this once I try it.
EDIT: Doesn't require root. I feel no difference though...

Well, when you launch it, there is no SuperUser action popup to allow the application so I am not sure that you need to have root access...
And, yes, it has an effect on every touch app (try writing a message before and after applying the apk or try playing angry birds, there is a big difference)

SO i gave this a shot and some aspects do seem smoother to me. None of the handwriting apps i tested were any diff as before the test.
I already had what i felt is a smooth responsive touch screen, but was curious to see if it was going to get any better.
QUESTION: when you run the app it says after hitting the calibration button "Follow the directions exactly"
I hit the button and it says calibrating screen dont touch, but no other directions.
Am i missing something here or is that the extent of the directions...
All in all not sure if it is just a placebo or if it is actually smoother. I suppose others with really bad touch response may see an effect.

No, it really is not a placebo, believe me. It was even more noticeable in my case (read my first post about my hardware problem) but even when my device was ok, it wasn't so smooth as it is right now.
For the instructions, you don't miss anything.
The important thing is "DO NOT TOUCH SCREEN WHEN CALIBRATING" because it could screw up the calibration, and if you do the opposite, the result would be that you wouldn't be able to use the device anymore, because not being able to relaunch calibration (if you have the dock, no problem at all )
That's all

So, to people who tried this application, what is your appreciation now after one week of use?
Anyone for some feedback for who has used it for about a week now?
With my TF I have a "dead" / "very unresponsive" line (about 5 mm wide) under the camera over the length of the screen.
This is very annoying when opening the market (difficult to select the search field) or when trying to tap the taskbar when the TF is rotated 180 degrees.
Sometimes it works normally, so I do not know if it is the ROM / Kernel or just unresponsive hardware.
Could this solve it?

After several weeks of use, I didn't see any battery drain more than when not using it...
Archos 101, well, it worked on Viewsonic G tablet and Transformer, maybe Archos 101, but I don't have it so I can't test...
Why not testing it if you have it and report here, and if it works, in archos 101 forum too?
Hello,
After the update to JB 4.2, my dock is recognized by tablet, the charging process work well, but the keyboard is dead! Even if I change the settings, made a cold reboot or Wipe data, the situation is the same!
I made the update without dock, but I don't think that is relevant.
The tablet was never rooted.
Seems to be a hardware problem? Can be a coincidence with the update to 4.2?
Thanks,
Any suggestion please?
Maybe try a full wipe and reinstall. It sounds like you followed the same process i did. My keyboard is working similarly to how it did before the upgrade, occasional missed keystrokes and all. In fact I'm typing you this on my TF700 keyboard as the cooling fan on my laptop is currently dead.
Out of curiosity, do you know if you have the actual TF700 keyboard or one of the 300 versions that are supposed to be floating around out there?

Duh, that's what I meant, sorry for any confusion. I think I identified mine as one of the newer TF700 keyboards. It's possible that could be the problem.
Hello everyone
I just started experiencing a very strange issue in regards to a bluetooth mouse I just started using on my rooted Samsung Galaxy Note II. The mouse works perfectly on the phone, and I'm loving the interface. Just today I opened a google drive document, and immediately noticed that every time I moved the mouse, the phone would vibrate proportionately (i.e. the faster I moved the mouse the harder it would vibrate). I went through all my setttings and turned off all vibration and haptic feedback I could find, including keypress haptic feedback. This had no effect on the problem. Note that this problem ONLY surfaces when viewing google drive documents from the google drive app. All other apps (including other google apps) that I have tried haven't had any problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I use google drive quite a bit for school.
Phone specs:
AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100
Android 4.1.2 with CleanROM ACE 4.6.1
Google Drive version 1.2.563.31
Let me know if any other specs would be useful.

Thanks, that might be worth a try. I really do like this rom though, haven't had any issues with it so far. I may wait till Drive is updated again to see if its a bug with the app before I put a new rom on my phone.

Same here using OPO with stock CM11S, never happened before,, just after the last docs update. It's pretty annoying :/
I appreciate this is necro posting, but I am really stuggling with this exact issue. I have a Nexus 9 and a MS Notebook Bluetooth Mouse 5000, which work perfectly together except for in google docs & slides. I have a stock ROM, and it has always done it. What is even more frustrating is I bought my Mum exactly the same model at the same time (allbeit with a different mouse), my mouse works perfectly for her and the mouse I bought her has the same problem on my device.
All this proves to me is that it is my device, and it is nothing to do with the ROM or Android version but I have no idea what is causing it. Problem is I wanted to use this as a laptop replacement and using docs and slides was a big part of that. I have tried clearing the cache and uninstalling updates on the app (I can't uninstall it completly as its a preloaded app in the Nexus 9). If anyone found a solution I would love to hear it. I might try resetting my device to factory settings to see if that cures the issue.
Am I the only one that is experiencing very noticeable lag while typing on the keyboard? Tried even with Swiftkey and google keyboard, the lag persist.
The phone is brand new and I have an empty sd card inside, but even without it lag.. Even the vibration feedback lag.
UP
Mine has been fine and I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue.
Maybe a faulty unit?
I read an article that it's because the phones nowdays have cpu scaling so they aren't eating up all the battery. When you're not using your phone, the cpu kinda hibernates, but if you start typing, it speeds up, then slows down when you pause, then speeds up again. And it takes a tiny bit for it to fully speed up, so the lag comes from the cpu scaling.

As I already said, I have the same problems with the swiftkey, so it isn't a problem of the stock keyboard.. I've tried the S7 edge of my friend and it doesn't have this problem..
I have the same problem with Swiftkey on my galaxy s7 edge. Have compared it to my Xperia Z2 and it definitely lags
Edit: Also lags on Google keyboard and stock.
The swipe trail on Google Keyboard is laggy too. This sucks.

I was having a lag issue with my keyboard too not long after I got my S7. Not sure what caused it, but doing a factory reset fixed it. Have you tried that?
I haven't tried that, would rather avoid a factory reset. Google keyboard seems much better after I turned off swipe trail.
