I've been having issues with my Samsung Focus when I install Mango RTM in it. It will randomly restart while using apps. I tried going back to 7008 and back up to 7720 and the same problem still happens. It doesn't happen in NoDo though. So I'm curious if anyone has had this problem and if there's a fix for it.
I tried searching for a solution and I couldn't find anything.
Thanks in advance.
I am having the same issue on my quantum. But it has rebooted once while messaging, and another time in bing search. So far twice in one week. The only up side is... It reboot so fast
Hi all,
So ever since I've had my phone I've had problems with the marketplace.
Yesterday I managed to get my Mozart to Mango 7720 unlocked and now it's starting to bother me.
Previously I use to get a message saying marketplace is not available in my country/region (I live in South Africa) now since the Mango update I can browse fine but when I try update or install an application I don't have I get the c101a247 error. Been happening since last night.
IE cookies are enabled, makes no difference whether the GPS is active or not and no difference whether I use WiFi or my cellular data connection I get the same error.
Anyone know why I'm getting this error and how to get it fixed so I can use the marketplace?
Thanks
*bump*
Anyone at all? Any ideas or suggestions?
Go to mobile phone settings and under region + language put united states and try to install the app.
Also try to login and logout from zune.net from your computer.
Hey schizo, tried that and still nothing.
Its really getting annoying now!
Hi, I had same problem on my HTC Trophy with NoDo. Creating a new Windows Live account and replacing the primary one with it solved the problem. (Of course I've chosen United States as my location when creating the account). Unfortunately to change your primary WL account you need to restore to factory defaults.
I've started my experience with WP7 just yesterday and I am a noob, nut I hope this will help you as well.
Ok, thanks. Quick question (bit off topic). If I reset to factory settings will I need to re-unlock my phone?
Thanks
So quite a thread revival...
I would like to avoid having to factory reset my phone, but think I may need to - so will probably get a new rom and just flash it as I am on an oold Mango ROM.
I am still having the above issue, was getting the .xaps and then just deploying them but now that they are all encrypted I can no longer do that and my marketplace still does not work.
It is going to be really annoying having to scrap my original Windows Live account I have had since around 2006/2007 just because of this - although if its the only way I guess I will have to. Just cannot use MSN on my phone then (I ain't re-adding all my contacts).
Any ideas before I reflash my phone and create a new Windows Live account?
Thanks
Hello everyone, I have a problem with my phone after update to mango on my Spanish HTC Trophy:
Sometimes (most of time...), while I have the screen off (phone locked) and playing songs I have downloaded with my zune pass, zune crashes changing from one song to another, and pressing any of the buttons to play, forward or unplugging the headphones causes a completely phone lock, having to remove the battery get it working back. This happens me after the mango update, I tried to hard reset the phone and to restore the previous phone version and update again to mango, none of that worked for me
Any of you have idea why this happens? I found people with different phones in other forums with the same problem, so I think it's a SO issue.
Do you think that installing the leaked mango RTM would help? And, installing an unofficial ROM, I will continue receiving official updates from Microsoft?
Any suggestions how to fix this?
Thanks!!

Do you have the HTC Sound enhancer settings on? If you do, set the setting off. It's known to cause zune crashes, that's why it has been removed from Marketplace
Most likely Sound Enhancer. I've never seen the Zune Player crash though. I haven't had a crash since pre-nodo marketplace crashes as far as stock apps are concerned.
Thanks for the answers, I have HTC sound enhancer uninstalled, so I think that's not the problem
it is a known issue

Make sure you click on the "me too" button under the first post. There are a lot of speculations on what is causing the crash. MS is investigating the issue.
Thanks for the answer. I clicked the button, hope that fix will arrive soon, Zune hub it's the thing I most use from my phone.
Btw, do you think that installing an unofficial rom will help in any way?
Thanks again
Did a forced update to mango a few months back, since then I have had a few issues with facebook not syncing correctly with my main facebook account (deleted friends still showing up etc.) and was told that a reset would probably fix it, so blindly i did it.
After the reset it looked different to before and on the phone in the about settings it shows as being windows phone 7.5, but dosent look like it did before mango, cant search for apps by pressing a letter ect as this isnt here, on zune it says im running version 7.10 (7740).
So been trying to update via zune and nothing is happening, anybody got any ideas ?

7740 is actually one version after Mango. The latest update that fixed some issues with Exchange 2003. So you're absolutely up to date. The reason why the alphabetical jump list is missing might be that you lack the minimum amount of apps installed. The jump list only shows up if you have more than 40 (or so) apps installed on your device.
That is Mango. You just can't search because you don't have the minimum required amount of apps for it to appear.
Cheers for the info pretty sure i hadnt installed over 40 apps before, but I never counted..
Hi, I just update my Samsung Focus to Tango by using ROG-CA trick (no force update). The problem is it breaks my interop unlock. I cannot even access diagnosis app using ##634# or an already installed diagnosis app. Since I have uninstalled it, I cannot access MFG menu other than the access code. The real problem is that I cannot launch app installed from marketplace. The worst joke is that it treats app like Facebook as a sideloaded app. It says it has been revoked by MSFT and need to uninstall.
I have restart the phone to no avail. FYI, i sometimes change to Nokia OEM, but revert back before the update.
What should I do ?
tango does not have anything extra, apart from few minor tweaks,so i suggest you to rollback.Because there is no point loosing interop for not so exciting Tango.
Changing the registry (DeviceTargetingInfo) to another OEM (such as Nokia) will permanently break the marketplace DRM on your phone, until you hard-reset or roll back to before you did so. This is well-known and documented on all the tools and tweak-lists that I'm aware of which include this change.
Revert your update, keep yourself well away from DeviceTargetingInfo (the ROG-CA thing is *also* a bad idea, unless you're absolutely certain that the update intended for phones on Rogers in Canada are the same as phones intended for whatever-your-carrier-is in wherever-you-are. They're *probably* the same, but that is not guaranteed.
