This will install undervoltage for every kernel. During flash you may choose -12.5, -25, -37.5, -50, -62.5, -75, -87.5, -100mV undervoltage or delete it. Powered by nice AROMA Installer 2.50 by amarullz
F.A.Q.
Q: What is the undervoltage?
A: This decrease voltage of the processor.
Q: What are the advantages of this?
A: Better battery life.
Q: This will reduce performance?
A: No.
Q: Can I install it on stock ROM/kernel?
A: No. ROM must be supported init.d scripts.
Q: What kind of undervoltage I need to choose?
A: Not all chips the same. Choose what you want and what will stand the processor.
Q: How can I check what undervoltage stand my processor?
A: Choose -100mV undervoltage first. If phone boots, try system stability test. If all is ok - your chip can handle this UV. If no, flash -87.5mV, try system stability test etc. StabilityTest app here.
Q: Can I use it on other phones?
A: Yes! But your kernel must supports udervolting by vdd_levels and ROM supports init.d scripts.
Q: Why touch screen not working in AROMA?
A: Re-calibrate your screen using AROMA Installer.
Q: How do i check if I have the mod flashed correctly?
A: Using SystemTuner or look here /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels

You forgot to attach the attachment .

Oh, yea! Fixed

Great job, I wanted to give you a tip ... during the flash plus choose these frequencies -25, -50, -75,-100mV, add -12.5, -37.5, -62.5, -87.5 mV ... I say so, because even on "System Tuner" and other programs for non htc device Scaling is 12.5 mv Good job and thanks again for your Mod!

thanks, asking just in case.

Will this work for the stock kernel? If it won't work then is there a recommended kernel to install (maybe faux)? A link to a kernel would be nice.

No, I think it not work with stock kernel.
It's 100% work with custom kernels. I tested it with faux and bricked. Make your choice in choosing the kernel.

Aaand, a little announce. v4 comes with nice AROMA Installer!

v4 is out! Enjoy!

This goes straight into my tools folder!
Thank you for this wonderful little mod.

Just what I was after, cheers.
Started with -75, no probs so far.
If I want -100 do I just re-flash zip and say not to all except -100 or do I need to delete anything first?

If you want -100, just flash this package and choose -100mV.

-100 caused reboot so back to -75.
Still happy with that.
Like the new installer, but although a next button appears when completedI would recommend adding a note saying Undervolt complete press next to finish.
Thanks again for this mod.

*6.35 radio and 1.76 spl only*
I've been posting a few kernels in different threads, time for it's own thread now.
This kernel has been tested on several of the 2.1 rogers releases, currently on Seo's rom cause I like minimalist and can add what I want.
It has ext2,3,4, squashfs, tunneling, compcache is available if the rom supports it as is swap.
Right now I have freq tables up to 710, the default boot is 528mhz and min is 122, use set cpu to set up what you want, I personally use 480/672 and have no battery problems at all.
(don't forget to detect freq on first start in setcpu)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Flash from recovery*
carz-2.6.29-710 kernel This is a new compile with max default at 528 on boot, 710 max with setcpu.
*NEW*
Here are some perflock kernels, screen off 245/245 screen on 480/ * , 528 is same as htc settings. I've eliminated all freq between max and min to minimize switching on each kernel. No setcpu needed!
MD5: 0c7f19441794a0ce27c5eed37baf18f0
carz-2.6.29-528-perflock-v1.0
MD5: 4a3024dbc3333970222d68efb6237903

carz-2.6.29-710-perflock-v1.0
MD5: 49fcf0cdecad0ddf3692d5d211598e96
I found I have to wipe cache and dalvik-cache when going from 710 no perflock to any perflock kernel, also the other way around
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have also put together a recovery for our new radio magics, it's AR's 1.7.0.1 for hero built with my kernel, this new recovery takes care of the slow sd mounting and fixes several issues. It also makes our magics appear as a magic for roms now I believe, I have to check.
recovery-AR-magic+-1.7.0.1
MD5: 762f4272f8d7172e49483d76c8ea91cb
Test it out with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery-RA-magic+-v1.7.0.1.img
Flash with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-magic+-v1.7.0.1.img
Thank you Amon-Ra for the recovery work.

hi carz12,
great work man!
I've flashed your kernel (first in the list) and setCpu 480/672...and my linpack score is only 2.54
can this be related to the recovery? I'm not using recovery-AR-magic+-1.7.0.1, but instead the old and reliable recovery-RA-Magic32A-6.35-v1.6.2NewRecovery.
please let me know what you think...

Hmm, I'm getting 2.85 with that kernel, I have noticed a reboot after loading completely the first time helps.
The recovery doesn't load at all on a normal boot so it it shouldn't affect the rom at all as far as I can see.

Kernel + Tweak (Only for CM6.1.1-Alpha8.3 )

ckMod.cfs.011 :
ONLY FOR CM6.1.1-Alpha8.3
[ Uses Linux mainline scheduler, stable and provides better battery life ]
:: Same as ckMod.cfs.010A with addition of the following
:: + jhash3
:: + gcc extra optimization
:: + wlan module from Acclaim
SSSwitch (Screen State Switch) v0.6E :
This script provides balance between performance and economy. I came up with it as I couldn't find any battery saving app which didn't negatively affect performance.
:: Adapted from screenstate_scaling ([email protected]) & battery tweak ([email protected])
:: Auto-switch settings for virtual memory, cpu scheduler, cpufreq and undervolting based on screen state
:: Will override any existing CM speed tweaks with a combination of the best of XDA and FE tweaks
:: Screen-ON >> PERFORMANCE Mode | Screen-OFF >> ECONOMY Mode
:: Works on both Eclair and Froyo (only for kernels with sysinit service for /etc/init.d scripts)
:: SetCPU and SSSwitch modify the same parameters, so DO NOT USE SSSwitch with SetCPU
Changelog for v0.6D > v0.6E
+ enabled oom_kill_allocating_task to prevent 98ssswitch from being killed
+ moved SLEEP_UV to execute at end of SLEEP_MODE function (thx 2 mambrino)
How to CONFIGURE CUSTOM SETTINGS (SSSwitch):
A:
1. Run any terminal emulator on phone
2. Enter "ssscfg"
3. Press Enter to get super-user access (1st run only: select Allow for Superuser Request)
4. Follow on-screen prompts
5. Change your custom settings or load preset profiles
6. Apply changes and exit.
B:
Install CKZtools and Change your custom settings or load preset profiles.

-No man, you don't understand well.
-the LK2.10.beta3 is for 2.1 and CM-6.1.1-Spica-a8.1 is a 2.2 firmware.
You have to apply the two mods only after installing CM.
LK2.10.beta3 is a step to do before installing CM.
i hope understand now
Any way to revert this? I got a lot of freezes and cpu loops. And i am late for work because of this.

Strange, what happens to your spica, this patch has no effect to your phone working mode, anyway i hope u have Cyanogenmod 6.1.1 on your phone if not it's normal to do loops.
this an undo patch of original kernel for cyanogenmod 6.1.1.
i hope this will help you, if not try a cache wipe then if not a dalvik cache wipe.
enjoy dhouha
Hi Yamen.
The 3D patch works great! I'm having trouble with the undervolting patch though. Like the others, I'm also having screen freezes within a few minutes of use.
I'm currently running LK2.08, Cyanogenmod 6.1.1 Spica-Alpha 8.1 (from your other thread)
If I install "LK2.10.beta3_update.zip" (also from your other thread), will this solve the problem?

So just to make it clear, am I ok with LK2.08 and cm6.1.1 spica a8.2 if I want to install these addons (Kernel + Tweak + 3d driver for CM6.1a8.2)?

Yes after a clean CM6.... u apply these patches via recovery and that's all, no way to freeze your spica because the patche do a wipe cache automatically.
Thx for patches its now workin fastly
Thanks yamen. Will try this out later.
Edit: running alpha 8.2 right now-- with the addons. Everything's running smoothly. Thanks again yamen.

Use v06 and flash the post boot Script. No need to actually over clock with this kernel beast and still getting great battery life. 24 hours easily with 4 hours of screen time.

Does anyone have the flash able version through twrp rather than using fastboot. I'm not near a computer and like to give v06 a try right quick. Thanks in advance

Yep, playing with it. With AOSP from CodeAurora, AOKP and CM9 also.
CodeAurora sources are working great since Acer used it as base, but for CM or AOKP it's more difficult, especially RIL part (telephony and data), like all Acer phone.

hey, i just bought the acer liquid glow and saw your rom. great stuff man, good to see that even for less popular phones there are still developers willing to invest time in making custom optimized roms.
however since you're pretty much the only developer building a rom for the acer liquid glow and i haven't found user reviews, i was wondering how well it functions. Any known bugs and such. Since we are with only a very limited group of phone owners i wanted to know how stable it is since i'm not a developer myself and dont want to bother you with noob questions on problems.
Furthermore, how is development coming along on the cm10?
once again great to see you working on this phone
Hi,
I tested the Glowing Liquid and I can say that it works really well It is rock stable and much quicker than the stock ROM it is based on. You won't be disappointed
How is CM9 coming ?
hey, i'm struggling with the rom. after i installed the zip through cwm i get the orriginal acer boot screen. however when jumping to the boot animation it crashes and it falls into fastbootmode indicating an error in the normal boot procedure. i'm restoring the phone now and see if it works if i start from the top again
did anyone experience a similar problem? any suggestions.
lastly, a new download of liquid glow is problematic, i get a box where i need to put in a password and username.
Did you wipe before installing the ROM ? If not that could explain the issue.
Try flashing again but use wipe data/factory reset, then use the wipe options in the advanced menu (dalvik, cache,...). That should do the trick.
As for download, Vache is experiencing a few issues with his server so just wait a little.

+1
My liquid glow sometimes reboots on using Maps navigation and with Extended Settings (I notified the developer, we're looking into it).
I also have network problems sometimes but it might the coverage at my work place.
Has it happened to you ? And is it better with this ROM ?
I'm clearly having a blonde moment... How do I get into CWM after flashing it through fastboot? Without that, I can't flash this ROM...

Cheers bud!
Having many issues with wifi on the stock Rom (disconnects, authentication problems...) so installing your Rom now hoping this will be something from the past.
I have this phone for 2 days now, it's the second since I returned the first because of the wifi issues, this one has the same problem!!! Tested it on three different wifi accesspoints. I experienced more errors with WPA2 then WPA, but still very unstable. The rest of the phone: great for its price!
New version released
Why update me said that this rom is unsupported by update me?
Inviato dal mio E330
Can i unroot this device? Because My battery is always 0% after installation of this rom...

I have the same issue, also clearing cache and reset also under advanced do not help.
Try to restore with a stock emea rom ( from Vache FTP) but this zip file is faulty it says
So looking for a way to get the 1.5.2 rom working (Did I mis a step? )or a stock rom that works.

[KERNEL-CM10A4] CrackerizerKernel - Final

Hello,
Before start working on the kernel 3.0 branch, I think we should have a good kernel for CM10A4 because 3.0 would take a while. So, I created this kernel.
Release:
Final - Jan 2, 2013
This is the final release. Only minor optimization are included. Dhiru already patched all necessary code to his kernel. I though about backporting DSSCOMP and ION but it seems not worth it. From now on I'll focus on the 3.0 branch. Happy new year to all.
R1 - Dec 28, 2012
Overclock to 1.35GHz but boot at stock (Vurrut)
No signal fixed (loSconosciuto)
Noop, CFQ, SIO schedulers
Various governors
Based on Dhiru CM10 kernel
How to flash:
- Download it to your storage
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash it as a zip file.
How to restore to stock:
Download and flash "kernel-cm-10-A4-restore.zip" from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029921
Disclaimer:
As always, It is your responsibility to use this. I wouldn't take any blame.
All credits are given to:
- Dhiru
- Vurrut
- XDA_Bam
- loSconosciuto
- Adi_Pat
- UtterChaos
kool will give it a try
Features??
Thanks. But please post details such as governors and IO schedulers, boot @ 1GHz etc.
now we have 3 devs working on kernel 3.0 ))really nicee
:good:
Guys, try it out. If you don't like it, you can reverse to standard CM10A4 anytime.
Thanks for this crackerizer. I Was just recently thinking about the lack of an overclock kernel for Alpha 4 and you came up with this. Great job! :highfive:
Just the type of steriods needed right now
Thanks bro
Flashing it right away
Edit: kernel works properly, no issues yet.
rom is now much smother
Will report battery after 2-3 cycles.

1200MHz - very unstable
When I was on bam kernel (gingerbread), my phone was very stable (OC 1200), no random reboots or something like that.
On this kernel - 5min and 3 reboots and a lot of FCs :/
Edit:
1100MHz = the same problems like on 1200 and 1300

For me it's quite the opposite. On Bam Kernel or Vurrut my phone use to lock up as soon as OC applied to 1.35GHZ. Now it stays without any problem.
Ha thanks for the super team of developers. Now the room is smoother than ever(until 3.0)thanks to the overclock and stuff. Plus great there is the signal fix with it.

Mine running at 1.35Ghz without any problem (the phone is a little hotter than other speed). I do a lot of gaming (most are 3D).
Is your phone stable at stock speed? I think some phones may not be able to overclock.
i want to flash your kernel, but how to back to stock dhiru kernel?

Rom is definitely smoother and with OC games lag way less....
But got one feedback on the camera. Image preview is very much distorted.Too many flickers.(during video recodring too)
Never had this issue in the stock kernel or loSconosciuto's signal fix kernel.
can you please look into the issue ? and can someone else confirm this ?

This is a bug for CM10. I think it will be fixed when kernel 3.0 is ready.
Anyway, The recorded video is ok. :good:

No, this kernel is unstable even on 1000MHz
and,
as I said, on gingerbread 1200MHz (BAM kernel) was very stable, without any FCs and reboots, so my phone is able to OC.

If its unstable don't use it. U might risk the chances of burning your chip .
OC is stable for me. Works fine.

It depends on the hardware you have, try a different OC or roll back.
