Does this mean we doesnt need to edit the vold.fstab to get TF-card mounted as "sdcard" instead the OEM partition?
what version of CWM recovery do you use for your tablet? mine is Treq A10C, i've already installed the CWM recovery but the "back/return" button doesnt work :crying::crying:

yes , im edit vold.fstab for working TF-Card mounted as external storage ..
back/return button works fine .. you need repeat volume (-) button as 40x or get the message "back button is enabled"

Installing a new rom - This is the way I do it.
I really don't know about other's. But when I am moving to a new rom, I always follow these steps and have never had issues.
Read the concerned ROM post and if you dont understand ask for installation procedures.
Take backup of all the apps to external sd card. I prefer titanium backup.
Powerdown phone and Remove the external sd card.
Do a factory reset and reboot.
Start ODIN and fill in the required tabs as per requirement.
Go to Download mode on the phone and connect the phone to pc and ensure that ID:COM shows Yellow.
Flash the firmware and wait until the phone reboots and the odin shows green color. Now you can remove the usb cable.
Once rebooted, do a factory reset again.
From recovery clear Cache and reboot.
Once all the above are done and you have ensured that the phone is functioning normally, go for the mods.

For ext4 take the three modules from my cf-root, open them with an hex editor and search for 2.6.35.7..... then change the part after CL to match with your kernel version.... Good luck!

User preference, I`ve always used CWM and its never done me wrong, recently I tried TWRP and I liked that too for the multi-functionality but I would say try them both then answer your own question
@Nihar I wonder if we can get the Capacitive buttons at some point
where to find this recovery source code which you compiled ?

Cwm is somewhat closed source, afaik.. Comes with cyanogenmod source...
I'd love to get my hands on the touch version...
If we could port it to pico, its really awesome...

usually when you compile a device for cm the resulting build also creates a recovery.img of the latest version of CWM (some tweaks maybe needed for unsupported devices) as it has most of the device specifics needed already, you can also build your own seperately on the CWM Recovery Build Server HERE

Disclaimer
I won't responsible for any damage that you take
Hello Galaxy Y users, I found this ROM from Galaxy Ace Forum ,but I managed myself to port it to Galaxy Y. This ROM is modified by TheUnknowThing. The ROM is based on CyanogenMod 7 RC4 by bieltv. Some apps are taken out, but you always can search it from Play Store. So, please report to me if you find any bugs or comment. Try it and give feedbacks, together we shall make it better!

Main Features :
- Using a very stable build of the official CyanogenMod rom
- Awesome boot animation! (Thanks Tovagulet!)
- Touch sensitivity is improved
- Many programs that run in the background have been removed
- Very customizable
- Most changes are under the hood
- Performance gain by at least %15 than original!

Bugs:
- Same as CM7 RC4 by bieltv
- Superuser does not work out of the box. There is SuperSu but you will need to download SuperUser from the Play Store. This will enable the super user binaries (root)

How to install :
- (RECOMMENDED) Be on a stock ROM, installation will be cleaner
- Download THIS EXT4 tool, bieltv specific kernel and the Rom on your device.
- Flash on Samsung recovery (or your recovery if you are not on stock), my temp. CWM.
- When you are on the Temp. CWM, flash the EXT4 Formatter tool, so whole system will be converted to EXT4. (Stock filesystem is RFS)
- After the installation, flash kernel you have downloaded before.
- When the Kernel is installed, go, on the CWM, to advanced --> reboot recovery (this will reboot the device, and turn it on on the new CWM of kernel)
- Wipe data, cache and dalvik
- (IMPORTANT) Go to mounts and storage, and make sure system is mounted (will show unmounted) mount it 2 times!
- Go to install zip from SD Card, choose zip from SD card and install your CyanogenMod, AOSP, Cyanmobile, whatever your EXT4 Based ROM is. (MAKE SURE installation last more than 5 seconds, if is less than 5 seconds your system is unmounted! repeate step 8).
- After installation, go back and reboot system, if you made it good, ROM boots, so no problem on it.

you must be on ext to run cm - why? because cm kernels use ext so you cant run it on rfs
and if you want to know the features of cm over stock rom best to google features of each version or goto
