Hello Galaxy Y users, I found this ROM from Galaxy Ace Forum ,but I managed myself to port it to Galaxy Y. This ROM is modified by TheUnknowThing. The ROM is based on CyanogenMod 7 RC4 by bieltv. Some apps are taken out, but you always can search it from Play Store. So, please report to me if you find any bugs or comment. Try it and give feedbacks, together we shall make it better!

How to install :
- (RECOMMENDED) Be on a stock ROM, installation will be cleaner
- Download THIS EXT4 tool, bieltv specific kernel and the Rom on your device.
- Flash on Samsung recovery (or your recovery if you are not on stock), my temp. CWM.
- When you are on the Temp. CWM, flash the EXT4 Formatter tool, so whole system will be converted to EXT4. (Stock filesystem is RFS)
- After the installation, flash kernel you have downloaded before.
- When the Kernel is installed, go, on the CWM, to advanced --> reboot recovery (this will reboot the device, and turn it on on the new CWM of kernel)
- Wipe data, cache and dalvik
- (IMPORTANT) Go to mounts and storage, and make sure system is mounted (will show unmounted) mount it 2 times!
- Go to install zip from SD Card, choose zip from SD card and install your CyanogenMod, AOSP, Cyanmobile, whatever your EXT4 Based ROM is. (MAKE SURE installation last more than 5 seconds, if is less than 5 seconds your system is unmounted! repeate step 8).
- After installation, go back and reboot system, if you made it good, ROM boots, so no problem on it.

No, only system data (/data) will be lost, along with the files in /system and /cache.

After flash the EXT4, just flash the kernel, no need to mount again, and dont forget to flash Gaaps! Thanks gor testing

Anyone help me to understand that, whats the benefits a user gets by install a CM rom over a normal custom rom ? why all run behind only CM ? why ?? tell me the difference .

you must be on ext to run cm - why? because cm kernels use ext so you cant run it on rfs
and if you want to know the features of cm over stock rom best to google features of each version or goto

-Go to paranoidandroid settings - configuration - choose tablet optimised
-Change the dpi for systemui and framework-res to 160 (for ICS only)
-Go to system - navigation bar - select softkeys
-Toggle "expand desktop" by pressing the power button for switching to full screen while playing games or using any other full screen app.
The beauty of this ROM is in customizing it, the better u play with paranoidandroid settings, the better u will make the look of the ROM. Advanced users shud share the customization here in this thread, I will add those in the OP.

Bhai , getting bootloops again and again . was on wr 1.6 , green lense defy , wiped everything , flashed 2nd build , flashed kernel ,flashed ui fixes and then wiped cache and data . still getting bootloops. dimaag khaarab ho gya hai bro !!

From the screen shots , i can tell its froyo kernel .

i think it cant be quarx 8th march nightly , as it is a 4.0.4 ROM

If you will update the PARANOIDANDROID version the USB Bug will disappear

Its based on the latest nightly of Epsylon3 (27062012) with froyo kernel.
procedure if u r on froyo cm9 by epsy:
wipe data/factory and cache
flash the ROM
flash the ics gapps
wipe again.
reboot
go to paranoidandroid settings - configuration - choose tablet optimised and reboot.
enjoy the ROM and play with it
Please note that this is a port from Galaxy S2 and there are some parts which still needs to be modified. There is no file explorer in the rom so please download one from market. I ported in a hurry. As of now there is still cm9 bootanimation. I shall release an update.zip very soon containing fixes.
What do you mean by usb not working?
is it just no adb or no connectivity at all
At the moment no usb connectivity but it shud not be a big problem to fix.

How to install:
installation sequence is critical!
- flash stock ICS if you have stock JB right now
- Make CWM backup of current rom
- Wipe data, cache, dalvik
- Flash MIUI rom
- Reboot device, then boot to CWM again
- Flash FixStorage.zip
- Reboot
- Finish setup, wait untill launcher load itself
- Reboot to recovery again
- Flash FIX.zip; DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING
- Reboot

Install it as it's written in tutorial and everything should work fine. Fix storage cannot be taken from other roms

installed the recovery
everything is working except listed below / comparison from cwm 5
1. usual time for wiping and formatting is increased (takes much more time than cwm 5)
2. please mention in OP that we should do a full format and wipe after installing the recovery because if we wont do that the system will not start and it will always start new recovery.
3. flashing time is also increased.
4.no option for battery stats wiping is present.
all things are working except mentioned above.
Please tell me it is touch recovery. BTW great work man u never stop developing for our fit . Massive respect

I have same error when install 6.0.4.5 beni recovery now I have

It is working after replacing these libs.

How to install:
1) You must have custom recovery installed on your device.
2) Download ROM .zip
3) Download Google apps
4) Put both .zip files on your device (either internal or external storage)
5) Boot your device into recovery mode
6) Make nandroid backup (if needed)
7) Wipe data/factory reset (not needed if installing above previous cm10.2 build)
8) Format /system (only if the previous ROM is CM 10/10.1)
9) Install the ROM .zip file
10) Mount /system, install Google apps
11) Done.
NOTE- first boot will take some time.
NOTE 2 - i am uploading this rom because it is not in goo.im folder of the whisp
NOTE 3 - We are here to help each other so please don't tell me that i should not share someones work.i am just helping everyone . i did some work also to get it working so please i would appreciate support from all of the ace plus users

5 Flash in cm 10.2 rom

I stuck on reboot when i enabled art on it !!!
Is it broken ???Or just because of less space in data???
Also I hve now flashed AORP !! But whenever I login to my google account it shows "google account manager stopped"
Any fix ??

1 ) change your partiton order ( 500 mb + for sd-system & 500 mb + for sd-data )
2 ) wipe both partitons using mitool
3 ) flash the gapps provided in 2nd post only ...
4 ) if u enable art it will take time for 1st boot be patient for 20 mins

flashed using TWRP..it said os not installed n no SU...still i rebooted..rom took looooong time to boot..

n also as system is on sd ext..a bit laggy..not much..but u can notice that ..m using sandisk class 10

Its not an issue. See here u r using sd-system which on sd card as sd ext partition and twrp as well as philz recovery tend to search for su binary in system (the nand one) partition. And obviously recovery cant find it so it giving u no root issue. IGNORE IT. It may say os not install if u r doing sideloading, IGNORE THAT TOO.
Reboot, and if u cant see carbon boot logo then buddy wipe/creat sd-ext partition again.
