Please help, lol, and keep it simple lol
1. FLASH MAGLDR TO YOUR DEVICE
The Original MAGLDR Thread by Cotulla is *HERE*
NOTE1: LEO512 and LEO1024 are both supported
NOTE2: MAGLDR doesn't replace OSPL/HSPL. It runs in the chain after. So it's safe to install and remove it
NOTE3: You can flash between 1.11, 1.12 and 1.13 versions on Magldr without losing your NAND Rom
1. Synch Phone with PC in Windows Mobile!!! It has to be connected to activesync or WMDC via USB cable
NOTE: As an alternative method to activesync you can restart your phone in Bootloader Mode, then connect the usb cable and wait until 'usb' appears in the bottom half of your phones screen
2. Browse to the folder you extracted your Magldr Package files to on your pc, right click on ROMUpdateUtility.exe and select Run as Administrator
3. Tick the box to confirm you are aware of the risks and select 'Next'
4. Tick the box to confirm you have followed the preperation steps and select 'Next'
* The program will now check the usb connection *
5. Select 'Update'
6. Verify the image you will flash (it should say 2.00.000.0) and Select 'Next'
7. Read the process list and Select 'Next'
8. Your phone will enter BootLoader Mode and the progress will goto 100%
9. Your phone will now Reboot. Congrats, you just flashed MAGLDR.

Kaiser Not Working

Hi Im Using Xp Pro
THIS IS WHERE IM UP TO .SORRY IM NOT USED TO FORUMS.NEWBY.[please scroll to bottom of page]
The exe has created a folder on your C drive called Unlocker. There are 2 folders inside that one called kaiser-HardSPLv1 and one called kaiser-simunlocker
Note for Vista users
===============
If you do not have the latest version of Mobile Centre follow This guide to explain how to change your drivers to the xp. You will have problems running the unlocker otherwise. Log in as administrator if you run the ROM update tool and unlocker. That also applies to XP users.
Instructions
============
1. Install HardSPL as per the instructions:
1- Connect Kaiser to computer using USB cable
2- Make sure ActiveSync icon is GREEN
3- RUN kaiser-hardSPL.exe on Computer (PC)
4- Follow instructions on screen
To check it has installed correctly, power off and then press power on while keeping camera pressed, this will enter the so called bootloader mode and you see a tri-colour screen (Red, Green, Blue). You should see "SPL-1.0 OliPof" on the second line in the top left corner. You can exit this mode by means of a "soft reset": press the reset button with the stylus.
2. Make a note of the radio version that is currently installed. You see the version strings in the splash screen which appears soon after power on (e.g. "R 1.27.14.09") (Or by going to Start, Settings, System, device information). Since we will flash a special radio in step 5 you need to flash back your original radio in the last step. (If you have a UK Orange Tytn II with the radio version 1.27.12.29, Use Radio version 1.27.12.32. Keep a note of the unlocking Code as you will need to enter it again after you have re-flashed the Radio.) (You will find download links at the bottom of the instructions)
3. Connect PC and Kaiser with a USB cable and keep it connected until the last step.
4. Power on the Kaiser and let it boot into Windows Mobile. On the PC make sure the activesync icon is green
5. After you unpacked the download you see directories "step1" and "step2". Go into "step1" and run KaiserCustomRUU.exe. This will flash the special patched radio rom. Follow the instructions until it is finished.
6. Power off your Kaiser and insert a different SIM, i.e. a SIM from another provider than the one your phone is locked to. (if you have a pin on the sim disable it first)
7. Once Windows Mobile has booted up it will (usually after you have entered the usual 4-digit PIN) show a window called "Simlock" and a textbox where you can enter a 8-digit unlock code. Now perform a soft reset by pressing the reset button *but* at the same time keep the camera button pressed. If you did it well you will be back in bootloader mode and you see the tri-color screen. The best technique is to press and hold the camera button first and then shortly press the reset button with the stylus.
8a. right-click activesync icon and uncheck "Allow USB connections" from Connection Settings
8b. On your PC, go into the "step2" directory and run "kaiser-simunlocker.exe". If all went well you will see the unlock code on your monitor and your Kaiser is being restarted

Thread hi-jacking is not very good...also posting the same thing in multiple threads isn't either...But, try reinstalling your Windows rom...Sounds like thats the issue. Could be something more severe though.

I have a developers phone that i am trying to update to 1.5 and am stuck on getting the ver updated.

i tried this link
http://groups.google.com/group/Android-DevPhone-Updating/browse_thread/thread/d2970dd43f51d96c
when adding the updaew.zip file found the phone froze and on completion had to take out batterys to reboot.

i guess the way forward for me is a step by step upgrde that is relevant to my linux machine or find one for a windows machine as i have access to windows pc also.
thanks Vinny
1) download the recovery image from htc's website.
2) plug your phone into your USB.
3) copy the recovery image to the root of the USB drive as "update.zip".
4) unmount usb disk and wait for it to sync.
5) unplug usb cable
6) plug in charger (optional, make sure you have a full battery)
7) reboot holding the "home" key.
8) press "alt + L"
9) press "alt + S"
10) wait for it to do its thing.

Flashed or Not

Hi it seems like I need to do a new thread for this, I just need answers thank you
*upon checking my phone
I have this
ROM Version: 3.29.707.0 WWE
ROM Date: 05/07/08
Radio Version: 1.65.16.25
Protocol Version: 25.83.20.02H
and as I learn to check what Hard SPL is installed in my device (thanks to you guys ) it says 3.29. 0000 or something like that, so my question is... does my phone already have been flashed? if so can i skip to to loading the Rom i wanted, i do need help thanks
if not this is from mskip
1. MAKE SURE YOUR KAISER HAS AT LEAST 50% BATTERY POWER FIRST
2. Download and Unzip *THIS* File
3. Flash HardSPL 3.29 [ESSENTIAL]
Flashing via ActiveSync with USB Lead
1. Copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe, JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe and JumpSPL1.94-KAIS.exe to your device memory (NOT STORAGE CARD)
2. Pull out the battery and reinsert it (this step IS important) *DONT turn phone back on yet*
3. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS!!
4. Turn phone back on and let it boot back into your operating system
5. Connect your phone to PC with a USB cable and wait until it syncs with your PC
6. Run File Explorer on your phone, browse to where you copied JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe on your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93 and lastly try JumpSPL1.94 if that one doesnt work.
7. CLick Continue on phone when prompted
8. After a few seconds the tri colour screen will appear on the phone and "USB" will be displayed at the bottom
9. Unplug the usb cable for 30 seconds and then Replug (phone will not re-sync but still says "USB" on the screen)
10. Right click on the Activesync icon in the bottom corner icon on the computer, goto connection settings, deselect "Allow USB connections" and click "ok"
11. Run the KaiserCustomRUU.exe file on your PC thats in the same folder as the HardSPL .nbh file and follow instructions (ticking boxes and clicking Next) *DO NOT re-enable USB Connections in Activesync*
12. Update will goto 100% (should take less than a minute), the Congratulations screen will be displayed on the PC and the phone will restart
13. Unplug USB cable from phone then REPLACE SIM and SD CARDS !!
14. Restart phone
*Remember to re-enable "Allow USB connections" in Activesync connection settings after a successful flash*
Flashing via MicroSD Card using cmonex HardSPL 3.29 [OPTIONAL]
FOR UPGRADING HARDSPL ONLY!! THIS WONT WORK UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE HARDSPL ON YOUR PHONE
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download Cmonex's HardSPL 3.29SD, unzip it and copy the 2 files into the root of your MicroSD Card
(KAISDIAG.NBH is basically an SSPL patched to load from SD without booting OS)
(KAISIMG.NBH is cmonex HardSPL 3.29)
3. Insert the microSD Card into the phone
4. Hold in the Power and Camera buttons, then press the reset button with the stylus for about 3 seconds until the BootLoader screen appears
5. It should say Loading / Update in progress and then to a screen saying SPL 1.00.OliNex
6. It should now say Press Power Button to flash or just flash the KAISIMG.NBH and then reset
7. At this point it should boot to the OS, if it doesn't then flash an OS (delete the previous KAISDIAG.NBH and KAISIMG.NBH from the SD Card and use Flashing Rom from MicroSD Card method)
8. After the Operating System loads, DELETE the KAISDIAG.NBH and KAISIMG.NBH files
*To check HardSPL version on your phone Enter Bootloader by Holding in the Power and Camera buttons, press the reset button with the stylus for 3 seconds until the tri-colour screen appears, then read the 2nd line which is the SPL version*
4. SIM and CID-Unlock [OPTIONAL]
For more reading go *HERE*
* YOUR DEVICE MUST BE SYNCHED WITH YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE RUNNING EACH STEP *
*Put your phone into Bootloader and update to a 6.1 Rom first if you get a black screen after Flashing the Patched Radio*
*If the program wont run u may need to install Microsoft .NET 2.0 on your computer to get it working*
1. Make a note of your current Radio in case you need to flash it back
2. Run KaiserUnlocker.exe, follow the instructions
(if you already have HardSPL on your phone you can skip straight to Step2)
3. After patched Radio has been flashed phone will restart and sync with the computer
4. On the Unlocker Program it should say Radio Patched at the bottom
5. Click on Step3 (Run Unlocker). This will bring up the Unlocker screen on your phone
6. If you want to check the status of your Sim Lock or CID Lock click the appropriate buttons
7. Click on Remove Sim Lock and Set CID, then click "Commit Changes"
* IF YOU DONT NEED TO FLASH A NEW ROM THEN PROCEED TO STEP6 TO PUT YOUR DESIRED RADIO BACK*

are the instructions from flashing hard spl 3.29 below it or what? I'm just confused coz' I found this tutorial here in the forums also http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2498297&postcount=10
Im just confused thanks
If you are confused, stop.
Re-read again and again, until it makes sense. Understanding the huge material around here is not to be taken in only one day.
I spent my early days 2 weeks by merely reading, collecting tools (and patches) before even attempting to flash.
I just needed an answer if my phone's already flashed that's it if it is flashed could i skip now on flashing my desired rom? that's just it, just answers from experts. I'm reading btw.
any help will do
On bootloader will say Hard if have hard-spl.
You could have asked in teh thread rather than starting new so as to keep forum clean.
On that note thread closed.

[Q] Rooting doesn't work? on a Spica

So I think I may be bricked....
I always had issues installing the drivers for my Spica (Portal here) on my Win7 laptop, but eventually I sorted it out so that Odin would pick it up and I got a pass from Leshak's kernel.
It was operational until I tried installing the firmware; the one that I had packaged with the kernel couldn't install Busybox. I tried a few other firmwires; an older one (which I had to re-root using the spica.ops rather than spica_jc3), CM 7 and CM 7 from this kitchen rom thing.
Those three all returned something like "Could not format system"
So assumedly recovery doesn't actually have root access, and I have tried rerooting it using Odin to no avail.
Any advice? Could it be drivers, is there an alternative PDA file I could use, am I doing a setting in Odin wrong?
Thanks!
Have you read that ? :
Code:

11. After restarting your phone should have a SamdroidTools and Superuser Permissions in the app drawer.
I never had a problem with flash spica using Odin. The drivers are compatibile with Win7 - i used Win7 64bit myself
Had a read through and it's everything I've done already!
Note: Recovery can't clear the dalvik cache or wipe the SD card either - seems like a permissions kind of thing
So maybe option "fix permission" could help.
You can find it in a advanced settings in recovery.
You can also try flash in Odin cyanogenmod 8.3 for odin. Is avaible on samdroid somewhere.
