Anyways, I don't know what kind of music you guys all listen to but I am a big metal fan (ya think?). I just got my hands on the new Gojira album and it is nothing short of AMAZING. For those don't know, Gojira is an environmentally conscious sludge metal outfit from France, who have yet to put out anything bad. They have a style that nobody else has, and they have the musical chops to back it up. I am very critical of new music and I am floored by this thing. The album gets a solid 9.5/10 from me. Check it out, it's called L'Enfant Sauvage. Here is the vid for the title track off their new record. Awesome song, awesome song and it only gets better from there. Enjoy \m/

They had on old lead singer Tarja Tarunen, she went solo (also good imo). The new singer is Anette, also a food signer took the band in a different direction.
If you wanna look them up I would suggest.
Tarja as lead signer: Dark Chest of Wonder, but there is so much more that is also amazing.
Anette as lead: anything from the album Imaginarium.

I never got into Nightwish. I used to be a solid Kamelot fan though and they are in the same vein...but now that Roy Khan is gone I think I'm done with them. Do you listen to Symphony X? They're in my top 5 right now, their newest album Iconoclast was ridiculously good.
Not much into Metal but I love Industrial. Metal's synth based cousin.

Perfect way of putting it. Now if we can only keep the riff raff away. LOL We're all going to need boats to get around the in Minne if the rain keeps up. Some areas have seen 10" in the last couple of days. My girlfriend isn't one of them tho. LOL Hope that wasn't too unclean. If it was let me know and I'll edit it.

Ah so you must like Iced Earth and Blind Guardian! Another couple of my favorite bands. Iced Earth especially. I'm sure you already know but Demons and Wizards is Jon Schaffer from IE and Hansi Kursch from BG.

Divine Heresy is pretty good, I just don't like their [old]vocalist. Tim Yeung is definitely a machine behind the kit. I saw Divine Heresy with Shadows Fall at the Vic in chicago a couple of years ago, great show. I met Dino afterwards and he was pretty douchey.

This is disgusting. I was watching this next to my nephew, didn't think there'd be swearing but anyway, 1,633,987 views are you serious?
I think people laugh from this because of:
a) Harry's gradually increasing pipsqueak-like voice
b) The first mention of a swear word
c) The zoomed in vision of Harry's head probably adding more dramatic effect if anything.
I turned it off as soon as I heard swearing, I found it boring and monotonous, thought this would be a challenge - but far from it
Saddest piece of attempt at comedy I've ever seen. Worst than the corny jokes I get from teachers. :/

As we all know, development & Support for our One XL is very poor compared to other phones like the One X Tegra, One S, EVO LTE and GS3.
What i have been doing in the past were how to videos and "Balanced" rom review videos for other devices and PC's as well. I would like to do more One XL videos and try to get it a little more popular and see what happens. Would you guys be interested in this? If so, let me know what kind of videos i could do for us, I'm open to Rom reviews, how to videos, and accessories videos.
I know I'm a developer but I also do enjoy using this phone and would love to see more attention brought to it before the One X+ kills it off for good.

Start with rom reviews. You got half a dozen roms to keep you busy. :thumbup:
Accessories thread is by far the slowest part of our forums so maybe continue there with some more reviews.
(although noobs don't bother with stickies, especially on the mobile app) create a sticky thread reviewing roms, tweaks, homescreens, and hell, fookin quadrant scores with certain roms. The few devs here create awesome roms.
I've rooted my buddies gs3, and he can't find a stable/feature rich Rom to save his life

I think reviewing roms would be great and videos of the ones you think are worth it. I've recently started testing some roms out. I tried KingCobra and am now using Viper plan on testing some more. I may could help on some input.
But someone to do up to date rom reviews would be awesome

Lord knows when I go looking at roms for my wife's i9100 its a gawd damned gong show trying to sort through all the clones.
At least here its progressing and easy to follow lol. Not 25 different renamed cm10 nightlies with added swag/speed/momo racing wheel add-ins.

Lol I know what you mean but I see the evo lte forums and it seems like they have more goodies like s off for any hboot, they can edit the red splash screen text and so on. I wish me could grab the attention of those developers and get us some nice tools

Wow man that's really awesome of you! Do some reviews of ROM's like Dev1's ICS vs Dev2's ICS. Comparisons, some cool themes you find, tutorials on how to edit the clock, lockscreen, etc. on different roms, stuff like that.

The one thing I would stay away from that was mentioned was side by side, who's is better reviews. They are all hard work and it then becomes overly opinionated and can actually decrease the motivation of the "losing" devs. Your reviews will be great, and thanks for offering your time:beer:

I would never bash anyone in any reviews, I don't want any negative attention lol. I just hope people wont think im taking sides since i have roms of my own and i have only showed one on YouTube and that was back in may. With that being said, i want to do more how to videos because i don't enough of those here.
As far as creating a rom of your own, read read read is all i can say, that is how i started and ask questions and use Google. But never ever use anyone's work no matter how small you think the file may be. Ive seen a few people here and there doing that and its not cool at all. that's a good way to get a bad rep off the bat.

Seeing as how I came here as a noob, I had tons of questions. Jailbreaking an iPhone is a cake-walk compared to getting an Android phone rooted/flashed. Well, not so much for me anymore. I'd like to take a moment and thank members like InflatedTitan. He took much time and stayed patient with me, answering all of my questions and then some. I appreciate how he didn't treat me like a dope and encouraged me to ask questions.
Because of him, I was able to get CleanRom installed and it works great. So what I'm saying secondary to this is that if you're a newbie--Don't hesitate to ask questions, research a lot and don't do something you aren't prepared to do with the possibility of consequences. After all, it was reading many other people's posts that had problems that got me to research even more.

Okay guys, I've run a LOT of roms on four different phones. From my experience I can see that not only is Turge one of the most talented rom devs at xda, but also one of the hardest working.
We all owe him! And he lives in my town
Here's my idea...but first...
Turge: I can totally understand that someone might not feel comfortable doing this, and if so, that's totally cool. Meeting people from the internet is always a gamble. But if you are down, I think it would be fun. (I'm not a psycho, fyi)
K, here's the idea: we pitch in a little bit of cash and basically I take him out for a night on the town. It can be whatever he wants, whether it be a couple of pints and wings, movie, friggin laser tag, paintball, whatever.
The way I figure it, donations are great! but often money just gets gobbled up by bills or whatever. This way we are basically ensuring him to have a good time with our gifts because we are grateful for all his hard work!
What do you all think? Is it too weird, or is it a good idea?
We can figure out the details later if we are all on board.

I wish I owed him, my lol piece of bullcrap xl doesnt like his roms for one reason or another, I've tried every version of viper going back to the OG days when it was first released and my phone acks lika lil chicken head beeyatch on it. I'm jealous of all you getting to enjoy his highly customizable goodness ala awesome cause I'm a flash slut and as you know one xl development is limited.. I hate this phone and the fact that the screen won't let me go to a different device, HTC has the hooks in me for now but dammit my day is coming to up up up to equivalent piece.... Turge, id make the Opie give you a handie... also can't wait to use some of your stuff when I go to one of the 2 devices I'm contemplating, I'm sure they're rad awesome tabular!

Personally I think this is an amazing idea . First of all team venom is an inspiration to me & the fact that he lives in Hamilton a city away, is just mind blowing. Thanks to him I've showed my friends the endless possibilities of a custom ROM. Being 18 and learning all about linux, and android has made me want to learn even more and maybe one day try my hand at a custom Rom. Personally I really appreciate turges& team venoms work and have always been happy with all his releases. I know he has to deal with a lot of vs but thank you for providing an amazing Rom with amazing functionality. It actually be cool to meet you one day turge :good:

I do have an android..... Sold my htc one and Using a crappy lg phone till employees are allowed to purchase note 3.
Plus I'm about to stop using tapatalk and try xda app. Tapatalk has limitations and is always freaking out on me and not working right. And I'm not about to repay for their new app. Dumb that they made it a separate app that you have to purchase again instead of updating their paid app

TapaTalk 4 is great. I used the beta from the start and bought TapaTalk 4 when it was on sale for 99¢ and I used TapaTalk 2 for a long time before that. I feel TapaTalk 4 is the best app for blogger's you can get.
