A simple thank you.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the devs out there who spend countless hours into making great ROMs.
I wanna thank everyone who has ever helped me in past.
I got rid of my Captivate and snagged a iPhone 4, I presume I will be banned after this post. Lol
On a serious note, this place is great and I will continue to troll while I wait for another phone to come out.
I will be back.

My wife is always worried I will screw something up...ever since I bricked her G1 (stupid HardSPL). I had literally rooted 6 G1's before that and just one litttttle mistake of not updating the radio first - killed it.
Now she has a HD2 and everytime I load a new rom on it she reassures me that she will take my phone if I brick it.

Sounds like the same conversation I had with my girlfriend. They just don't understand.

My GF is coming around. She always complains, "Get off your damn phone", and says, "your phone sucks" to me all the time.
She has an HTC Aria, stock, and I just keep my mouth shut. She does want me to flash some custom love on it.

True but Droid-Life obviously thought it was worth while to create a new article on it and iphone bashing aside, its actually an informative video on some of the S3 features. Iphone bashing old news, video is new material hence worth posting. Thanks OP

Good luck trying to convince iphone users that the S3 is better.. Ive even seen girls post that they got an S3 to hold them over til they got their iphone5 lol

Informative video, but a lot of those were based on opinion.
For example, the only way a larger screen is "better" is if you WANT the larger screen. If you only want a 4 inch screen, then to you, that 4 inch screen is "better."

Why are we even arguing over this anymore. Now that the iPhone hype is over and all the Apple BS washed over, cleary Android is the way to go. I do not even think Apple should be looked at as competition with Android. Every new iPhone just takes another step back when compared to Android devices. It is almost unfair to even compare top end Android devices to an iPhone.
I think Microsoft is going to be the next player to watch. Everyone that uses a Windows phone seems to love it. I just think there are not enough apps and developers on board yet for their OS.

Still getting used to the "gimmicks" but from my experience if I wanted to answer a call like that'd I'd be swiping over and over and over, until eventually I give up and just grease up the phone Also the camera modes would be "Wait, wait...picking a mode, wait a second, wait...okay...go!"
This is probably just due to me not being used to it - somewhat getting the hang of the head tilting/scrolling now - but definitely not as fluent as they make it seem!

The funniest thing about that style of commercial from Samsung is that they are beating Apple with their own stick! It's a direct play off of the Apple vs Windows "cool kid" commercials.

The ad is awesome

Whether you agree or not, Samsung has illustrated how these features ARE useful. Will it be used daily, of course not. What feature is? I like that it is available when I DO need it. Why bash something you're not interested in? I just don't get it. Your argument is only what the reviewers say. The average person is not reading a tech site. I own a nexus 4, note 2 and the s4. I read all of the tech sites. I have an appreciation for adding features that are useful in particular scenarios.

Question is not whether they are gimmicks or not, question is whether this is a good commercial? Whether this ad will allow Samsung to sell more GS4's?
