At&t maps not true - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Now I'm really confused. Just got off the phone with at&t and the lady looked up the towers in my area and all she saw were 3g yet the coverage map shows hspa in my area .. etc

Does the map in the tiny print say 18 month projection? Normally those maps are future Esq too. To about 18 months.

3g is hspa.

Well my area has spa+ at&t customer service sucks

Signal bars really low

My signal jump between 1-3 bars constantly. It doesn't matter if I am inside or outside. I am orange county with LTE supported. Currently using 1.85 Cleanrom 2.1.
Any one know why? Thanks....

I do know lte drops off pretty sharply with some distance between you and the tower. From what I understand its not quite as stable as hsdpa.

I am even using the hspa Apn but signal still 1-3.

Hspa+

I'm in a area with hspa+ should it say hspa+ in network

it will say 4G if you see speedtests of 4 mbits or better you have it.
Well if I go into setting it says spa as the signal type or something like that but I get the high in speed test and it does say 4g

When it says network type should it say hspa or hspa+ ??
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
It comes up hspa + on my phone. I'm with Orange

Fml... Maybe it's the sim card

.. this didn't seem right
Mine always says HSPA. I went up to Massachusetts for a couple of days and was getting 8 MB/s on speedtest and it still said HSPA.
The slow data is because of your VPN connection. Disconnect your VPN and the speeds will dramatically skyrocket

Best radio for the Denver area.

Hey guys I'll be traveling to the Denver area for vacation. I live in the Houston area and get great reception. I was wondering what the best radio is for the Denver, Colorado area. Does Denver have LTE? Thanks guys

Denver does not have LTE yet but the hspa+ was plenty fast enough

no LTE and I've been getting good results on the 2.20 radio (0.19as.32.09.11_2_10.105.32.25L)
are you going to be just in Denver or traveling around? Some spots get better HSPA+ speeds than other but for the most part, no matter where you travel in the Denver metro you'll have good coverage and good speeds.
Yup, 2.20's radio works best for me. Although I still get bad signal in various areas that's like some black hole for cell signals. I'm thinking that's on ATT, not the phone/radio
I'll mostly be in Denver but also I will travel to Colorado Springs. I'll have to swap in the 2. 20 radios

After been spoiled with lte, I don't think I want hspa + again

2.20 is best radio

My LTE coverage....

Daaaaamn... I live 30 min north of Philly and was getting these speeds this morning... Now I know it's prob not peak using time but it's still pretty crazy...
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
DAMN! I was happy getting 24-30 Mbps down.
I work in Plymouth meeting and it's been live over a week now.

Guess someone missed the lte thread

Wait until iPhone 5 hits the street. Those speeds will be quickly a thing of past.
I guess that's close enough to Pittsburgh

Nice! Same speeds as hspa+ but more battery drain, I like it!

They don't have unlimited everything anymore. Their mobile share plans are pretty good though. I'm on a mobile share plan with 3 other smartphones. It has 10GB of data and unlimited talk and text. That plan costs me about $235. No one else on the plan uses more than 1GB of data so I feel like mine is unlimited. Plus, the LTE in the Atlanta area is really fast.

$120 for 4 lines, some weird business discount
LTE speeds also depend heavily on local traffic. When I first got my One X, I hit 25-30Mps routinely. Now, with a lot more LTE phones out there, I don't think I've gone over 20 in months.

This. I've gotten 45mbs down in areas that didn't have many lte phones, and 20 in heavily populated areas 5 minutes away.

I am still not getting LTE in NYC. Not sure if it's rolled out here yet. Anyone else?
