T-Mobile LTE NETWORK ACTIVE - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I can confirm I have LTE on my HTC ONE X in Houston Texas

Nice! Same speeds as hspa+ but more battery drain, I like it!

Did you have to modify the apn settings or is that just as is?

Slow? That's faster than I'm getting on AT&T.

Idk... Unlimited minutes is 70 bux by itself now... They don't do unlimited data anymore.
Could get 4 gigs of data for $110 with unlimited minutes.

They don't have unlimited everything anymore. Their mobile share plans are pretty good though. I'm on a mobile share plan with 3 other smartphones. It has 10GB of data and unlimited talk and text. That plan costs me about $235. No one else on the plan uses more than 1GB of data so I feel like mine is unlimited. Plus, the LTE in the Atlanta area is really fast.

$120 for 4 lines, some weird business discount

LTE speeds also depend heavily on local traffic. When I first got my One X, I hit 25-30Mps routinely. Now, with a lot more LTE phones out there, I don't think I've gone over 20 in months.

This. I've gotten 45mbs down in areas that didn't have many lte phones, and 20 in heavily populated areas 5 minutes away.

I am still not getting LTE in NYC. Not sure if it's rolled out here yet. Anyone else?

"phone" apn used to switch to non-LTE network, now it doesn't. 13gb proves nothing, you can get to 30gb even at throttled speed.
The whole att throttle thing is still based by market guys.
If live in an area that is not being hammered by att users you will most likely not get throtle. If is an area that is being constanly used well then most likely you will get throtle.

they can't check, data is data. Its just being relayed through your phone. If its rooted and your using a 3rd party app, there is no way for them to know, unless your using excess amounts data, then they might get suspicious
That is completely wrong the data packets received from the computer is 1 less than the phone therefore of your blacklisted they check your data packets and if the 1 less is received they know your tethering

I don't know if it's being cheap or not, but I never understood how tethering can cost AT&T more if you don't go over your data limit. How you use the 3gb shouldn't determine what you get charged. Just my opinion.

Agreed, I never go over, and if I wanted to tether once in a while, while on the go I should be allowed to. If I go over ny data, I would pay for it.

Since we're talking about data, I can attest that the data speeds I get in my area on AT&T are so much better than Sprint and Verizon. Don't know about T-mobiIe. I can't ever see leaving unless something strange were to happen.

Doesn't seem that complex. Put Atrix in lapdock, fire up webtop, turn on WiFi, connect to the One X hotspot. Bigger screen and full keyboard, USB mouse, 4G speeds, and the work day will suck a little less.

You can only purchase sim cards online just be sure to get the micro sim for AT&T. Your phone doesn't need to be unlocked either if its an AT&T phone. I'm running my One X on straight talk without problem.

I don't get it. Why don't more people use straight talk instead of carriers like att? $45 a month is A LOT cheaper than an att bill. Is there some sort of catch with straight talk. Like say for example someone gets an unlocked gsm Galaxy Nexus. It seems like a no-brainer to get straight talk, but yet some go with att. With straight talk being unlimited data, voice, and text for $45 a month with no contract, you would think more people would use it.

Not a lot of people know about it. I recently discovered it 4 months ago because people kept on saying to get it in forums but yeah its way cheaper and WAY BETTER service than Sprint. I used to pay 100+ for crappy reception and 3g that would kill my battery.

It does. It can also use verizon towers depending on your service area. They basically just sub-let the towers.
It's tracfone's semi-new service.
