What did you flash from? GB? Or the ICS leak?
My recommendation would be to flash the latest ICS leak and then flash SkyICS as instructed. Worked fine for me.
thanks for advice.. i was flashing from GB and get this problem. But i am able to flash to leak now. Will try to update again. thanks

I would flash the latest ICS leak and then from there, flash SkyICS. Flashing from GB has had it's probems.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652660 will get you to the latest leak. Have you used Odin before? Gotten into download mode? If not, I'm sure we can help you through it.

If that doesn't work you should try dl'ing the files again and see if that works...

i am so confused, i did the OTA UPDATE and retained root, flashed the new deodexed 2.3.6 rom.
verified that i am on the new 2.3.6
just for giggles i tried to install version 4 supercharged, and it worked! all seems to be working, except the volume control from the problems from the deodexed rom 2.3.6
however when i check to see what version i have, it says 2.3.5
55.11.16.mb865.ATT.en.us
i did a reboot, it it has retained 2.3.5.
so what am i running?
i wonder if i could flash the FXZ since the phone says that im on 2.3.5???
answered my own question.
i tried to flash back via rsd lite and it stopped at 6/20.
did vol up/down
NORM BOOT and im back to normal'
2.3.6
supercharged V4
phone reports 2.3.5

That's because the underlying scripts are from 2.3.6, but because you flashed sc v4 all of the apps under system/apps were replaced from 2.3.5 essentially you are running 2.3.5 but you phone thinks it's 2.3.6 and none of the patches and fixes that came with 2.3.6 work.

Yup! If you flash 2.3.6 from bootstrap everything should return to normal.

How did you flash it? If you are planning to flash it through RSD Lite you have to mod the xml's. If you have root you can just flash the Stock deodxed 2.3.5 that's posted on the dev section

My phone was running CM7 and I wanted to go back to BML roms but couldn't so I used FB's [ODIN+CWM] GB Ext4 Starter Pack to try to get back to BML from MTD. I got up to step 4 and odin stopped when it got to factorysf. I pulled out the battery and bricked the phone but then put the battery back in and got into download mode.
Now, I tried to flash an odin rom since I can't reboot into anything and I downloaded "[Odin][ROM] Whitehawkx's KC1 with CWM recovery" and tried flashing that but odin message just said "all threads completed" and the phone still doesnt work.
Can anyone please help???

Unless you have a T959W, flash bootloaders!
If you do have a T959W, and have flashed bootloaders, pm me your results!

While it will say I'm a noob because this is my first post I am not really a noob, I just haven't had a reason to post until now
I flashed a 4.2 ROM and lost all connectivity to the network. Odin'd back to stock and here I sit, with that triangle saying I am roaming still. I have read every forum about this, tried the *2767*3855# a billion times and am getting nothing.
I need ideas! Please help!
Thanks
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3
EDIT* *2767*3855# doesn't activate anything in the dialer. It is just acting as if I want to make a phone call.

Been through that 1.5 billion times already :crying::crying::crying:
You are on a TW ICS rom I am assuming? That dialer code should work automatically on a TW ICS rom. Maybe try a different ICS build like this one: http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/stock.vzw_root66.tar or these from droidstyle's guide: http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/...535VZWALG1_743127_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.zip or http://hotfile.com/dl/182822657/9f6...WBLK3_381038_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.md5.html.

You need to get back to a TW ICS based rom 4.0.4. Use one of those links I gave above.

I will certainly try it. After I flash in Odin is there any special details after I should try?
Flash the root66 from odin, factory reset, and then use the dialer code. This should work. From there install recovery and proceed as normal.
Important: This will completely wipe the internal storage. Backup first!

I couldn't get a .tar file for root66, it just came as a zip, otherwise I was about to try that option as well.

hey guys im running a rooted stock JB on my note 10.1, and now im getting OTA updates... would it be okay to just unroot my note 10.1 and download the update, than root it again?
Because it looks like this update will help improve stability.
Any advice?

that is what I would do, unroot update then re root
You might find, some do, that the OTA will fail. If this happens then you need to go to Sammobile, download the rom for your region and flash using ODIN. You shouldn' t loose anything this way but not promising anything s accidents do happen...

Odin uses tar files that are often zipped for download so extract to a tar .

Hi everyobody:
i was trying to install a new ROM in my old and unused Infuse but a I had to stop soon for the following reason.
As described here [ODIN][UCLB3] UCLB3 Unbrick - Return to stock - Working PIT included by jscott30 i succesfully returned to stock 2.3.6 Gingerbread UCLB3 but but now i have the "rainbow distortion" while rebooting that makes me impossible to use the CWM menu to install the 4.3 ROM.
As suggested I also tryied to install the GB bootloader but Odin always gives me a FAIL feedback.
Can you please help me get out of this?
Thank you

Hi, i decided to try again. I have recovered the rainbow distortion and now i have a 2.3.6 working.
Can you please help me with a link to the next step? How can i now install red CWM to load a new ROM (4.4.2 or 4.4)?
Thanks

You got the GB bootloader working? That would be required to use CWM, or else you will be stuck back in post one.
If sorted out, Option C would be the way to go:
