Cm7/9 and the like music player is nice and loud on my dock. Stock Samsung based roms it quiet. Is there a way to fix?
Tried different music players, etc. Its just not as loud. I'd like a more stock rom but as I listen to music at work all night, I can't really run one

Have you also tried with Voodoo sound or Beats audio?
Beats. Didn't seem to do much.
I remember the same happening back when I had an Inspire. Stock HTC sense roms were so quiet. CM and other AOSP roms were much louder.
Maybe it's an AOSP/AOKP thing?
I am sure it's an aosp thing. Same goes for other drivers as well. I remember Zelendel would not touch cm7 on the inspire because the bt drivers were subpar compared to the stock versions.
I listen to music nightly in a noisy environment (UPS) and have not noticed a huge change...but that could be because of the background noise. Plus..I listen to a lot of streaming radio, and the quality has never been that top notch.
Voodoo Sound Fix.

voodoo sound is for the headphone amp. it doesnt apply to usb audio. the op said he is using the dock i assume he is talking about the samsung dock which has nothing to do with voodoo.
although you can use the sound redirector app to default to the headphone jack even on the dock and use the built in amp for your audio but this means plugging the audio cable into the headphone jack.

I have a Captivate from AT&T running 2.2 version I897UCJI6
I really need more sound out of this phone. Are there any hacks or downloads that can boost the volume up. On my Windows phone I have SRS Wow and it does a great job. I can hear my phone across the office. I want it for music without head phones. If anyone could help me out here I would really appreciate it. I am really not worried to much about battery drain, my phone is plugged in a lot. I am on the go a lot and speakers are not really handy. Can I do a hack on the sound. the speaker on the phone is OK, just no volume, I use the blue tooth in my car and speakers at home, but I am really looking to go outside these boundaries.
Get some speakers. PC 2.1 speakers, MP3 player speakers, bluetooth speakers, anything will work. Mine's connected to the PC line-in and sounds wonderful but also through the desk dock with a new kernel that adds USB audio-out support. It works great.
Galaxy Tuner in the Market. Voodoo sound and the Voodoo app make a big difference as well.
Hello all,
I've had persistent sound issues with XE based roms. First I tried some workarounds suggested, such as disabling fastboot. But no matter what, I have the same issue:
With the normal based ROMS, when I plug my phone into my car audio deck's auxillary port using a 3.5 inch adapter I get acceptable sound.
But when I use XE Roms, regardless of whether Baudio is enabled or disabled, I get static, clipping, and other distortion not present on non-XE roms
I've gone back to non-XE stock for the moment until I can sort this out. Anyone else having similar experiences?

Did you try it with 3.5mm Stereo Headset Adaptor with Microphone yet?
I use something like that with stereo line to aux port on my car and works fine.
LoL Im old skool I use a tape adaptor and 3.5mm jack... Plug my phone and done.
With "3.5mm Stereo Headset Adaptor with Microphone", you can answer phone in car
I put the mic just behind the steering wheel
Is there any way to get the audio out on the samsung car dock to not sound like crap? I'm running stock rom with the peanutbutta jelly time kernel and use the voodoo control to boost the headphone jacks audio and that sounds pretty nice but the audio plug on the dock does not seem to be affected by anything there. is there maybe another rom or something that will help me with this?
I recently obtained a new pair of Skullcandy Fix In-Ear headphones, and when using them with my GS3, I can only hear from the left bud. I can hear from both perfectly when I apply a little bit of pressure in the right direction to the jack. The headphones work perfectly with every other source, but I have not tried them with another GSIII. My GSIII can output audio in perfect stereo to any other speaker/headphone.
Seriously, what's going on? Does anyone have this issue, or have an idea on how to fix it?
If it makes a difference, I'm running Beans 14 with the included kernel.

My Beats Buds work fine on Synergy. Had to push hard the first time I used them and they popped all the way in.
my raptor FM modulator (the thingy that plugs into your cigarette lighter and plays music through your radio at a certain radio station) is not playing nice with my galaxy s3 with Cleanrom / SynergyROM
when I play...lets say....Pandora. I plug in the modulator...tune into the station, plug the aux cable into my galaxy s3..AND....I hear music!...for about .5 seconds. then it cuts off and plays through the speakers or just pauses. Sometimes I re-plug in the cable from the modulator and it works...sometimes it doesn't.
Now the strange thing is that..It works and plays through my radio fine when my S3 is at a low volume. [have to turn the car stereo to max to hear it] Too high of a volume (apparently slightly above half) and I hear a loud *bump* noise and the music stops. Is this a protection by samsung to cover their ass so no one blows their ears out? (since when I plug in the modulator..it reads it as a headset??)
It's not the modulator either. I had zero problems on my HTC Rezound running Newts One xXX Sense rom. This is only been happening on my S3. Is there anyway to avoid this problem?...it really does anger me when it doesn't want to play out of my car.
I have cleanrom on JB 4.1.2 with Ziggy kernel.

If I was in the same position, I would do a nandroid of my current setup so all my info is backed up and odin back to stock and try it from there. If on stock, it does the same thing, I would assume maybe its the aux cable or the phone. If it doesn't I would either assume its the rom or the kernel. I would then flash cleanrom with the stock kernel and try from there. If it works then its the kernel, if it doesn't most likely the rom.
Do you think it's the phone?.I'm pretty sure it did this on stock. What about the sound thing?
