But anyway did you download my odin and followed my instructions 100%?
Also don't use PIT or tik anything else just do what I said in the tutorial
And sorry I added a line to tutorial forget to say that you need to enter download mode first but I think you did that ?

Ok do you have KIES installed if not Install it (Maybe reinstall it)
Make sure KIES is closed when ODIN is opened (another thing I recommend to do is go to recovery on your phone and wipe data factory reset and wipe cache) Then try again
Hi, i just bought a new Galaxy y pro.
I'm Italian and my current fimware is XXKJ4 ...
I want update it but kies doesn't find my phone, i try to reinstall kies, with another PC but is the same...
What is the lastest or the best firmware for this phone?
Also, when i try to flash with Odin, give me a FAIL
Please, help me ! thanks
I have the answer for the problem!
Ok everybody these firmwares are no ready to use with ODIN, that's the problem. You need to convert these KIES firmware to ODIN ready to flash files with Doky73's tool --> SplitFUS2 or request him the firmware in this threat.
And please don't forget to say thanks to Doky and me

I ran into this thread and tried the same thing. After much searching, I found references to this thread and/or this tool to use. It looks like the problem with this firmware is it is all in one package, and needs to be split. See the links below:

I can confirm it works fine using Odinatrix (from the second link above. I used the firmware mentioned in this thread. (by the way, the OP didn't mention it is password protected - password is 'android'). I let Odinatrix split up the firmware - super easy to use, just follow the instructions in the second link above.
I then flashed CSC, MODEM, and PDA - nothing else. I didn't repartition - just left at auto reboot and f. reset time. Now flashed fine and is restarting.
AN ADVICE
Hello sir...maybe your tutorial will be better if you can give us some photos/ScreenShots of flashing steps...

Dear @avicohh
Can i return back to my stock rom? If yes then how???
reply plzzzz
Yes.
Just flash stock rom.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I have an ATT Samsung SGH-i727 running 2.3.6.
I tried to update it to 4.1.2 stock ATT with Kies, but Kies did not work; it said it could not contact the upgrade server.
So I downloaded Odin 1.85, downloaded ATT stock 4.1.2, and selected the ROM with the PDA button and pressed start. Auto reboot and Reset time were checked.
An hour or two passed and Odin was hanging on system.img.ext4. It never completed. I rebooted, and now it is stuck in "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please selecte recovery mode in Kies and try again."
I tried starting over in Odin, but it says that the write operation failed when it gets to system.img.ext4.
Any guidance on how to get this working?
Thanks!
P.S. Here is the full log from Odin after trying again:

Re-download the Odin file. It's probably a bad download. Check it's md5 after downloading.
go through the troubleshooting section here [HOWTO] NEWB GUIDES To: | RESTORE TO STOCK
note: in your log this line
"<OSM> KIES_HOME_I727UCMC1_I727ATTMC1_844945_REV02_user_l ow_ship.tar.md5 is valid"
there is a space between "l" and "o" in the word "low", did you edit the file name b4 using odin or is the space there because of the copy/paste to the post.
if I had to guess it would be driver issues since odin confirmed the md5 was ok, but go through the trouble shooting section from above link
Also a trick I've learned with Odin, instead of just double clicking to open, right click and select run as administrator. haven't had a hang on it since using this method. Maybe that will help.
Fixed
Redownloaded firmware using link in troubleshooting guide and updated successfully. Thanks.

Thanks for quick reply. I did find the 4.0.3 downloads but I don't see one for the US. Does it matter which one I install?
Update: Oops - I don't find 4.0.3 download for P5113.
Easy dude no root needed as you are going to downgrade to official ICS 4.0.3 and there's no problem in downloading other country Firmware
You can download the ROM from SamMobile, here's the link for it but it's for GSM Version the P5100 if you're wifi version DON'T DOWNLOAD you can search it in Sammobile you'll find it (UK Version) : http://terafile.co/b1925899596b/P5100XWBLF1_P5100BTUBLF1_BTU.zip
make sure you have the latest usb drivers , you can download it from here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038555
and you can download Odin from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539
Then Extract the Firmware and then Check F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot Make Sure Re-Partition isnot Checked and then Click PDA on ODIN and Select the extracted tar.md5 file and Click Start then wait for it to finish then you're done downgrading

Well, it seems I am in deeper trouble now - the tablet displays the dreaded "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."
I tried the recovery mode in Kies - it says that "GT-P5113 does not support initializing."
I tried through 0din too - but even it doesn't do anything to fix this situation.
Looks like that I am now stuck forever with this issue. Can some one please help me out?

Try flash recovery first for your devices, then try to flash the rom again.
Recently I was trying to flash a firmware to update from Android Jellybean 4.3 to 5.0.1 lollipop. Ended up soft-bricking my phone.
Here's what I have already tried:
1. Do not tell me to change the USB cable/port, as it worked completely fine to root my phone the day before it got bricked.
2. I downloaded what (I think) is the stock firmware of my phone, and tried to flash it with Odin (3.07, 3.09 and 3.10.6) and a PIT file. (Gave an error without the PIT)
Here's the logs of what happens:

It fails, and nothing happens. Sometimes on the phone's screen, it also shows "SV REV. CHECK FAIL : fused : 4, Binary : 3" in one of the lines. Not sure what it means.
3. I tried flashing the PIT file without a PDA, and it succeeds, but then it gets stuck in the start-screen boot loop.
4. I cannot go into recovery mode, I've tried it but it didn't work. (Home button + Power + Vol Up.) I can only go into download mode..
Please help me.

Well.. ever since it was bricked, I can't seem to find it in the device manager at all, though Odin does seem to recognize my device.
Also, I reinstalled Samsung Kies and the drivers several times, but it always gets stuck on "connecting device" each time on Kies.

After trying to update Kies drivers once more, now it shows under Modems as "Samsung Mobile USB Modem #5"

After updating drivers with an ADB-based toolkit, it doesn't show in the device manager again.

You have to reset your phone, to do so turn it off, go to recovery(press power, home , vol up key simultaneously) then use vol key to move up down, select format or factory reset whatever is present there and then apply it.....it will fix your problem

Then download odin and firmware from Google, put i in your computer, turn off your phone go to download mode(press power button, home key and volume down (not up ) key simultaneously)
Open Odin on computer select PIT/AP and locate firmware you just downloaded connect your phone through usb when it show [com 6 ] or something like that then press start, leave it till process complete, it will reboot in between the process, dont panic just wait till it say ok.....turn it on injoy, i hope you didn't installed any custom ROMs like cyanogen 12,13,14 etc. If you did, then you have to factory reset it as i mentioned earlier
