Samsung have recently leaked thier most exciting app and it is hacked by
people, which disable to verification of phone name.
However,I installed Svoice signed.apk on my phone, which is edited,I still getting the error about "network error, please try it again later".
I attempted to changed ro.produce.device/model to GT-I9300 in build.prop.But the problem doesn't get solved and keep poping out the same messedge about network error.
I installed full port of S voice but it came with the same problem.
Any idea??
Go to the thread for it and you will now see that it is a zip file whih can be flashed from recovery. It works like a charm for me now but nowhere near as good as siri.

Is anyone having problems downloading apps from the market this is the message I'm getting . I have wiped everything but my sd card. I have tried a few different market apks. And a few different roms on wifi and 4G .

Uninstall the new market and try out the old one? I've yet to receive that error. So far all I've got with the new market is "NETWORK ERROR" and i hit retry a few times and it goes away.
The new market has given me nothing but trouble also. I had to switch back.

I am going to blame it on the new market as well. I haven't upgraded to it yet bit I haven't had any problems here on the old one. Don't forget to post your resolution if you come across one.
I'm running the new market and am not having any trouble
I have tried an old market apk and it just says download failed. I'm going to try to reformat my SD card when i get home

Are you on stock or a custom Rom?
This all started about 4 or 5 days ago. I noticed when trying to add a new contact, the app would just sit there like it was loading. So I close it and open the 'Contacts' to add them and right away i get the error message "Contacts has stopped unexpectedly..." i go to Rom Manager to try to fix the permissions but i get an error message there also and it wont let me fix them. Anyone know what this would be?
I'm rooted, but have the stock rom installed still. I have done nothing special to the phone other than rooting it.

Try backing up your apps and wipe your data.

also check the permission of the 3rd party apps you install.. sometimes it complicate things.. thus wiping your data removes user data from your installed apps...
Hi guys, i have a problem here, i followed this guide http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Glacier:_Full_Update_Guide everything went smooth
i had to dowgrade as the page says as it had already gingerbread, every step went smooth, then i booted and everything apparently fine, except when i turn on my wifi it autoshuts down after some seconds (the wifi not the phone).
tried 7.2 latest nightly and same thing.
please help
this is a tmobile unit
htc mytouch 4g (aka glacier right?)
note: backed up as directed but upon restore i just get an md5 error so no going back
currently this info is shoing:
android version 2.3.7
baseband 12.28b.60.14eU_26.03.02.26_M
kernel 2.6.35.14 cyanogenmod-g295e82f
mod version cyanogenmod 7.20120909-nightly-glacier
Same problem here. I'm also using a CM7 nightly.
Under Wifi Advanced settings, its showing MAC address as unavailable. So far I've tried a "wifi fixer" on the android market, and I opened up the phone to check the two cables for Wifi.
Try reflashing probably a bad download or u can flash a new Rom such has android revolution or insert coin I recommend these Rom because they gingerbread an are most stable for glacier an really smooth

Be sure you're doing a complete wipe before flashing a ROM. Check out 4EXT recovery, as it has an option for wiping all partitions.

Thanyou, i think I have done wipe, as instructed on link, I followed exactly, maybe is not the rom as I have tried at least 3 cm versions, and 2 non cyanm, I returned to stock (downgrade version, 2.2) and still no luck, but I havnt tried the one it had, stock, 2.3, I have reflashed many times, this is a used phone, that I am unlocking for a friend, and while I was on it he asked for a rom, he got this cheap, and was not using it because of carrier lock, but I actually never checked if wifi was working before flashing it, so probably its just broken and that is why he got it so cheap lol (like 40 bucks) wil trry ota 2.3 and the others you guys suggested, just to exhaust possibilities,, but not with much hope, ty both for taking the time to answer

in my case I can't go to advanced, as it is only available when wifi is on, and I'm not fast enough to setup a network before out turns off, I cheeked someone with same problem on tmobile forums, no root, no flash,.regular ota, support said that if just factoiry reset with no sd, and before installing anything then its phone problem and needs to be replaced,
Any idea how to fix this piece of wifi hardware, are there available spare wifi chips or something? (i obviously can't return to tmobile a is used , phone from a foreign country :$

Weird thing is that wifi tethering works fine. Also I started noticing this problem after switching back to Gingerbread from ICS. I've reflashed several times with the other luck.

I lose phone connection upon rebooting my device. The message "restricted access changed" is displayed occasionally. Also "Search Networks" results in "error while searching for networks".
It then takes 15-30min and suddenly phone connection is re-established (just by waiting, no user intervention).
device: HTC One S (S4)
HBOOT 1.06
baseband 1.08ts
kernel 3.0.53
CM10-version: 10-20121204-NIGHTLY-ville
Any ideas?
no idea
but I've had it happen and my airplane mode was stuck so i just wiped cache and dalvik and rebooted. everything seems to work so when in doubt, always wipe! lol

IMEI seems to be OK. When I enter *#06# gives me a 15 digit number. AboutPhone/Status/IMEI shows the same 15 digit number.
Am i really the only One having this issue? cant believe it.
I am having same problem. I keep getting phone stopped message and Google.procceses error message.
How did you fix this?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
restricted access warning is not uncommon
when it comes back with search error, tap "automatic selection" of networks
did you check apn's and maybe try different radio, if you can--not sure on that as cm puts radio on a different partition than normal--flashing radios can be dangerous--
As in the title Facebook (build 140579) update is a never ending process. Its been more than one hour that its updating. This update is not via market. I dunno why Facebook is pushing an update like this.
I read through a couple of posts and found that the update can be stopped with the download manager but it pops up again and again.
In the OneX forum, I read that turning on WiFi resolves the problem and download finishes and updates the Facebook app.
But the problem is that the WiFi on my sensation doesn't work. So the update is stuck. I even tried internet pass-through connecting internet via PC but still stuck.
Even read that people have been stuck for hours with this.
Anyone with a solution for this? Please help.

You could have stopped it from the download manager by deleting the update file. I did that. Since then I haven't received that annoying update.
