Hey all,
I've forked and submitted a pull request to update galaxys 4g and add galaxys 4g mtd.
Currently the teamacid manifest is empty, until we can confirm and update our stuff to correctly support rom manager.
With that, I also suggest that if you wish to add your rom to rom manager that you peruse Koush's document on adding thirdparty support to rom manager.
Specifically:
Finally, to register your ROM for OTA updates, you need to edit your /system/build.prop in your ROM to include your Developer ID ro.modversion (as mentioned above) so ROM Manager can identify the version of your ROM. This is optional as well, but why not get OTA updates if it's just a couple lines of settings!
ro.rommanager.developerid=cyanogen
ro.modversion=CyanogenMod-5.0.5-Droid

Also, I will be working on figuring out goo manager support (open recovery stuff) and possibly recovery switcher.
Just a heads up.
SWEET! !!!
RM support is easy to do now. that document is old. He does ROM hosting now, so it's basically you do everything on a site, upload it, and the RM team will approve it; done.
Just make sure to have the info in the build.prop on the 1st upload.
Edit: hmm..the link I have for RomShare is dead. I'll get with Koush later and get an updated link.
Edit 2: Found it: http://developer.clockworkmod.com/ That was easy. lol

Great, that is very helpful!
My pull request does add Team Acid, which I guess I could have done that part through that link.
The other part was to correct the init the rm manifest pointed to for bml roms, and to add galaxys4gmtd. (as my updated comment in the pull request mentions)
Well, just an fyi. I've officially given up on rommanager support.
But, who cares, right?
It was super simple to setup goo.im support, and I didn't have to wait on a pull request. The support on irc was friendly and I didn't get insulted by them.... <.< >.> *cough* *cough*
Expect to see some TeamAcid roms on GooManager soon!

Before you guys even brought us these ICS roms, I checked out RomManager, and Goo's sites. My impression was RM seemed professional and all, but Goo definately stood out as more dev-friendly & user friendly. Glad you guys set up on Goo. If you don't mind me asking, does Goo host your ROMS free of charge?

Thanks. I skipped out on a few luxuries this week so I can hook a few of you devs up this payday. I don't think I'll have anything to spare for Goo, yet. Is there a way to donate besides paypal?
I think most of them use PayPal it is safer for both parties involved. If you are worried about credit card safety I think you can use the Walmart prepaid card service to load on to PayPal and no CC is necessary.

Special thanks goes out to everyone who tested for us.
Also, make sure to thank @drhonk, without him, I probably would have given up a while ago.
Additional thanks to robbbbit for testing the final version, and to luckyduck69 who sent me his device to get this project going.
Here is CWM Final for the SGS4G.
You will still need to modify your stock recovery binary to be able to use CWM.
Kernel Devs can also compile CWM into their kernel by extracting the update.zip and building it into their initramfs.
To modify recovery:
download this file
MOD EDIT TO REMOVE DEAD LINKS
and use root explorer or adb push the file to /system/bin
DO NOT delete the current one there, or rename any files.
Just overwrite it.
CWM Final
MOD EDIT TO REMOVE DEAD LINKS
Place in the root of your SD. If you have a update.zip there already, delete it, and replace it with this one.
I have sent this to Koush as well to have it added to Rom Manager.

*****NOT A CWM FLASHABLE ZIP*******
I tried to make a rom based off ACS-ICS v2, because my GPS was working.
However something in the rom still is off. I had no GPS. My Nandroid backup however restored my GPS.
So here is my first attempt at a Rom/Nandroid:
Based of of ACS-ICS - marcusant
-Official 2.3.5
-No CiQ (k0nane)
-Rooted
-EXT4
-IAP's EI22 Kernel* Basic OC/UV to 1200* (earthbound[iap] )
-DeOdexed (xBTx)
-Juwe RAM Tweak (Juwe11)
-3G TurboCharger (zeppelinrox)
I added:
•SGS4G Adrenaline Shot (Dsexton702)
•ASOP Sytle Lock Screen (ICS Themed to match ACS ICS Rom)
•ACS ICS Launcher 4.0
•LogProvider Fix
•AppWidget Picker
My appoligies to anyone I forgot.
If this works to get the GPS going for some,
Hopefully we can use it to figure out why ACS ICS kills the GPS.
Thanks bodi524

Correct me if i'm wrong but, I expect it's a Nandroid backup that may need to be extract into your CWM backup file and you just have to do a restore of it in CWM. I'd be sure to make a nandroid of your current rom before applying any other rom.
Working great for me no issues...thank you

Semantics. It's this attitude that sends new users, that could be of benefit in the future, running away from development.
In the time it took you to chastise this guy, you could have just as easily pointed him to the right place to do as you suggested.
Who are you to judge what skill is, who are you and what have you ever contributed?

Geez. You didn't have to change the title to delete. I kinda fell bad that everybody was bashing on you now. I am perfectly fine with you branching off and starting your own rom... I have nothing against it because you gave proper credit. I didn't mean to sound mean or anything like that... All work should be shared and different people like different things. Anyways, I also suggest that you learn how to extract a nandroid or create a rom without one.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Making a cwm flashable is easy. There are many tutorials/how-tos out there. I could've made a number of "roms," but everytime I wanted to put something out I always realized that it wasn't development. I dont remember where I heard this but someone said that development isn't deleting apk's theming and calling it a rom.

The first rom I posted was an early branch off of another popular rom. Despite clarifying my intentions, stating my immaturity, and giving all due credit, a mod deleted my thread without warning. Rather annoying, since the toughest part of doing all this was assembling a clear and informative thread.
I have since moved the majority of my information and all my download links to a separate site, courtesy of another less whiny forum.
While I cannot condone if someone were to rip off an entire rom and claim the work to be all their own, I also cannot condemn an effort by someone attempting to learn and share.
Android is, after all, open source.
Unfortunately, XDA is a tough crowd. You'll want to be a little more prepared before you launch a Rom thread if you're not ready for the backlash.

Don't get discouraged and keep up the good work!!!!! You are doing a great job.
I, for one, thank you for your effort. Don't let the self-rightous spoiled children on this site get you down, keep trying to get better and learn.
WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?
If you are one of the many ICS users (or devs), you may have noticed that it is very difficult to make your tweaks (v6 and car-o-dope especially) stick. Whether or not these tweaks are actually needed is up to the user/dev, i'm just here to bring you the solution to a minor ICS issue.
WHAT THE HECK DOES THIS DO?
This is a flashable .zip file that will essentially inject (or staple as I like to say) the support of the INIT.D script into your current ICS rom. As I said above, this SHOULD (YMMV) allow the support of any tweaks that require the INIT.D script.
WHAT THE HECK SHOULD I DO?
I AM IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU BREAKING YOUR EVO 4G USING THIS MOD!
In order from start to finish:
-Download the .zip file from the download section.
-Place .zip file in the root of your SD card.
-Boot your ICS rom into any AMON RA based recovery.
-(OPTIONAL) Wipe dalvik/cache.
-Flash the .zip file!
-(OPTIONAL) Wipe dalvik/cache.
-Apply your favorite tweaks.
-Enjoy and report any success/failure to this thread.

Erik gave this to me a few days ago and I just haven't had time to test it properly. There will possibly be more bugs so if there are please log them. As far as data goes I have ATT and my data was not working with any APN I tried. The ROM also broke root for me which was fixed by flashing SuperSU. Yes I said flashing. I always keep it on the root of my scard in zip format. Here's the link to the flashable version:

Erik gave this to me a few days ago and I just haven't had time to test it properly. There will possibly be more bugs so if there are please log them. As far as data goes I have ATT and my data was not working with any APN I tried. The ROM also broke root for me which was fixed by flashing SuperSU. Yes I said flashing. I always keep it on the root of my scard in zip format. Here's the link to the flashable version:
SUPERSU v0.96

I had pretty much the same experience in the short period I was checking it out. Data issue is identical with TMOB. As for root, I was using Superuser and it reported the installed binary as 3.2, while the app said 3.1.1 was the latest. Flashable zips for both can be found here:
ChainsDD Superuser
That may have the same result.

Because development for this phone is dead! Remember? LOL Where is that dude now. And Bryan should be getting a metric ton of thanks. Aries anyone?
Small tid bit of info. Both AdamOutler and cyanogen have less than 5000 thanks each. Bryan has about half of that. I think there is a time when people just stop hitting thanks. Not that it is right.
Ok Im not going off-topict again I promise.

Credit is under my post "CyanogenMod is awesome" and they are awesome, they do all the work and all the credits and donations go to them.
As for the download link, their cm download website has limited storage so the older ROMs roll off and they get reposted for PUBLIC access again and again. So credit goes to my good friend Google and to me for googleing the file name "cm-10.1-20130423-NIGHTLY-skyrocket.zip" and clicking the results. This is a community of people trying to lend a hand and help if they can.
This is the primary reason I didn't join XDA since day one ( God know since 2009-10) that I had a htc nexus, and galaxy s then ... now I727 because I've been reading XDA and didn't want to deal with people like you going around telling people to do this or don't do that. But I now realize if I can help, then I will, and I will abide to all the rules and regulations of the site.
But still if you think your point there is really important to taking up these thread space (which is limited as well) I suggest you go ahead and engrave it down in stone, and hang it on your room's wall.

Proper credit was not given as JD kindly put that on his dev host for download not you. Please provide credit for all those involved or I will report this thread and be done with it.

Its always important to give credit where its due.

Without even clicking the link I'll bet you a twelve of your favorite brew Randian philosophy is at the back bone of that idea:

Kant have any philosophy go unopposed though:

It's your right as a person to choose either of these paths. Just remember the immortal words of the Canadian rock super band Rush. "If you choose not to decide you still have made a choose."
Majik this ones for you. Thanks, as always, for thought outside the norm.

No that is asking for trouble. Theoretically it could work if you wipe your cache only, and then flash but I don't recommend it at all.
If you're worried all your customizations, wallpapers, apps, ... will go away then follow these steps:
Go to CMW recovery
-Start with a full backup at CWM recovery.
-Format data, cahche, system, dalvik cache (Don't reboot)
-install UCMC1 radio
-install the CM10.1
-install the 20130301 gapps
-go to advanced restore (restore only the data portion of your backup). Only Now Reboot your phone.
-Let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then turn it off and on. and enjoy.
doing this will only take an extra 15-20 minutes depending on how much data you're backing up and restoring, but doing a dirty flash on top of flash ... who knows what happens next

Yup ... just wipe dalvik & cache first. No need to wipe data.
A usuable CM again
Thank you buddy. I don't know the politics I just use the available information and I appreciate you posting here,
