[Q] Unlocked WP7 Issues - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
This is my first post as I'm new and a bit inexperienced so any help you can give is appreciated - or a steer in the right direction.
I have an LG E900 which was locked to the Orange UK carrier. I have had it unlocked via the MFG app and also an attempt was made to de-brand it through the registry editor in the same app.
Now the phone can't be detected either by Zune or WP7 Connector for Mac. I can't find anywhere on any forum anyone else having the same problem.
I don't want to do a hard reset as I'm worried it will go back to the factory settings of Orange UK.
Can anyone give me some steps to fix this? I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks,
Phil.

Need Help! Application Unlock

I´ve bought an O2 XDA-Phone at eBay for my Wife. After I´ve done the Update from O2, the SDA Application Unlock says: Device is not unlockable. Is their another way to do that? I have a Vodafone SIM and every 10 min. there comes a SMS from the Network with current date and time. I think it´s the O2 Homezone and i don´t know how to interrupt the Setup at the Beginning of a Hardreset.
Could please anybody help me?
Sorry.. this seems like a weird one. Maybe that's why no one's jumping in to help you. I've thought about it a little bit, and I can't think of what to tell you.. Maybe I'll keep thinking if you're continuing to have this problem.
There is another way to app unlock. This is not the first person to ask. I think a search should do it.
Search shows me this:
Download this application.
1: Run program htcunlock cvs on PC
2: Find program that is created on your phone on the startmenu in on device
3: Run exe and cross fingers (It changes settings in registry, wait for the Smiley!)
4: Powerdown and Powerup!
Or, follow this link.
Or this one.
Alternatively, your phone may already be unlocked... but has no bearing on your SMS issue. Try the first few steps of Karhoe's flashing tutorial, which covers unlocking. If it says it's unloacked, then the text message thing is something else.

Touch dual 850 touchflo problem

I have a telstra locked dual 850 (neon200). From the start I haven't been able to get the touchflo contacts page to show contact fotos. The things I have tried are:
soft reset
hard reset
downloaded off htc and reinstalled most recent rom (same as what was on the fone already)
Can anyone help me with this as Telstra won't and I can't get HTC's support line to ring me back or help me thru email. Is there anything else I can do to fix this, bearing in mind that your going to have to give me instructions for morons if you say something should be done lmao.

I've searched for anyone with this problem for 10 days and so far have come up with no one else. So I'm thinking can I get rid of the touchflo version 2.0 (because I'm assuming its corrupted) and put touchflo back on, whether same version or newer version?
Neon200 problem
Do you think i might need to fix something in the registry to fix the problem?

Verizon TP2 "DeviceModel"

So through all this flashing and whatnot (wow this is so much better than the PPC6800) my Verizon TP2 has decided that its a T-Mob device, which I don't take kindly too so I have a favor to ask. First does anyone off the top of their head know what the "Device Model" of the Verizon TP2 is, I mean the like the official windows driver model name? Also if anyone running the stock Verizon ROM or when you plug into your computer and the picture in Windows Mobile Device Center is the Verizon phone, could you please look for a string in your registry it should be under:
HKLM\System\Platform\OEMString
Mine is showing HTC Touch Pro2 T7373, which is not the Verizon if yours isn't that please tell me.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

It's RHOD500
Mine Windows Mobile Device Center shows the VZW version as a pic, and the registry data is RHOD500
Well this is interesting, I changed the value and soft-reset and it sets it back to HTC Touch Pro2 T7373. I wonder if its pulling this value/info from a lower software area on boot? Possibly if the HardSPL or Security unlock did this or if I'll need to learn more about using a kitchen so that I could cook it in. Any ideas?
Mine is showing 'RhodiumW' in 'HKLM\System\Platform\OEMString\'. Prior to flashing, it was 'RHOD500' in 'HKLM\System\Platform\OEMString'.
I have the VZW Touch Pro2 and am running MightyROM 11/10/09 now.

Well I changed it to both RHOD500 and RhodiumW and it still changes it. I guess its reading from either EnergyROM, HardSPL, Security Unlocker, or the unlocked Radio?

Well I (obviously) used HSPL to unlock my phone, so you can probably scratch that one off of the list.
I didn't use Security Unlocker (but I did SIM Unlock through Verizon), EnergyROM or an unlocked radio. The only thing I did was; 1.) HSPL 2.) Flash MightyROM 11/10/09 3.) Install Hotfix CAB 4.) Activate 'Verizon Carrier Settings' 5.) Install MMS Cab (in that order).

To change the model name/number that is visible in Device Settings,
Try changing it in the ModelName.txt file in the Windows directory.
I'll try that and see how it shows up when I get home, what does your's currently say? Mine is "HTC Touch Pro2 T7373."
I changed it in the *.txt file to "RHOD500" with TC and soft reset, this changed the registry string to RHOD500 so apparently they are directly related. When I get home I'll see if it sticks.
That didn't work this time around either, any other ideas where the entry would be? After changing everything I deleted the ActiveSync partnership on both the device and my computer. I did a reg search for "T7373" and everywhere it popped up I change the "HTC Touch Pro2 T7373" entry to "RHOD500."

[Q] Windows 7 mobile question

Hi all, I recently bought a HTC Hd7 Windows mobile as a second user, everything works great and as it's meant to. The thing is whilst looking through the phone settings I seen that it still had the previous owners phone number stored as "My number" in the settings. There appears to be no way to edit it. I have tried software reset and a hard reset both with sim in and sim out. Does anyone know how to edit this to show my number ? I know it's not a big issue with the running of the phone but I would just like it to show my number. Thanks for any help in advance
cheers

[Q] Having trouble with interop-unlock

Hey all,
I have an AT&T Samsung Focus Flash being used on Virgin Canada that I'm trying to interop-unlock with these instructions. I get as far as loading the unlock onto the phone, then enter Diagnosis and dial ##9908# but the Interop unlock is not listed there.
I think my issues is no matter how many times I uninstall and try to redownload Diagnosis, I only ever get ver.0412.
I'm really not sure what to do here to get another version of Diagnosis since I think that's where my problem lies. Any ideas?
