I dabble in photography and have enough of lint-free lens wipes lying around. I spray a wipe with just a little bit of lens cleaning liquid and use that to wipe down the phone, then use a clean wipe to dry it out. It makes the screen sparkle and also removes oil smudges off the back and sides.

Not sure, haven't tried it.
You could also use glass wipes of the kind available in CVS or Lenscrafters. CVS has wipes under their own brand that work quite well for cleaning my reading glasses. They are not dripping wet but moist enough to do the job.
i use alcohol wipes on my white one , would imagine it would work for yours
Any suggestions for the back? I assumed when the OP said grey One X they meant the back anyways, cause I don't see any reason why the color of the device would change anything in relation to the screen...
I use baby wipes on my white one x hey if it's safe enough for my babies bottom than its safe enough for my other babies bottom

I used a little water and paper towels and it worked to reduce the oil but there's still a few places that look off. Almost like the oil is permanent or something. :/

Hi guys, I have been getting some dust stuck in the crevice between the edge of the screen and the casing of the phone. It's quite a narrow space and I was wondering if you have any advice on how to get the dust out?
Thanks!

Get a regular white printing paper and stick it in between the edges. It works (yes, I'm not kidding!)

The paper idea is good, but I've used an old toothbrush whenever necessary. Works well.

I do the paper idea as well LOL but I fold it first then use the folded side to run along the edges. That way the dirt gets in the pocket. X)

Thanks guys, I decided to try the printer paper method. Everything was going well until the edge of the piece of paper I was using broke off and got jammed in the space. Looks like I'll need to find the smallest needle I can get to get it out.

Pick up some of those electron wipes Wal-Mart has a lint free cloth and it will look great.
That will clean the back? I had a few smudges from being in my pocket and being outside.

Yes. It will clean the entire phone beautifully. Try them out.
I clean my phone with those Lysol disinfection wipes everyday. Make sure that you ring out as much liquid as possible from the wipe first. Looks good as new.
Take a bath with it of course.
(I'd probably just keep it in a case lf your worried about it)

How does it get dirty so fast? I had a white iphone and it stayed pretty clean without much maintenance! Guess I will get a black HOX. +1 for the walmart wipes tho

Close two days without a case and my white HOX is pristine, I just got a case though.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
This is exactly what I said when people were having a white vs grey discussion

I should have bought the gray one. I have a kid who likes to use my phone in a restaurant to play games. I see it getting dirty easily.
Dishwasher.
Or the Mr. Clean Magic eraser.
Also the white one stays a bit more clean than the gray one. Fingerprints / smudges don't show up as much
I was wiping my desk down with a cotton rag, and Windex. (glass desk) So I used it on the One X. Perfect.
Still kinda weak sauce how easily the back of this thing sucks up grime... but at least it wiped right off?
I really want to put Ghost-Armor on it, but they don't yet offer anything.
I love my hox.... But one thing that's a bad design is the front camera... Dust will get in and u have to constantly clean it... What is everyone's experience?
Filled with dust. The saving grace is, I don't use it so it doesn't effect me
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Hmm, I just blow on mine and the dust clears pretty easily. Granted, I blow away at the first sign of dust... probably would be harder if you allow it to collect.

Only advised as a last resort. Doing so pushes the dust/debris further into the phone.
Maybe compressed air for when I more vigorous form of blowing is needed...sorry, couldn't resist.

a qtip has worked just fine for me
if you have any sort of lens cleaner you can put a TINY dab on the extreme tip and LIGHTLY swirl over the front camera, that should remove any dust, but if you push too hard then you'll definitely push the dust into the cracks and likely into the screen
a soft tissue or swiffer sheet should work too
Just want to know how to remove small scratches? Tried small microfiber clothes but nothing is working. Or if you can link me and I will delete this thread. Thanks in advance.

I read somewhere back in the iPhone 3g days of using brasso, but I'd give it a Google. Maybe some turtle wax? Haha. I know they make a scratch filler for glasses, I'd look into that.

I don't know if it's a good idea to be using chemicals on the Digitizer. Best to use a screen protector or learn to live with it I'd say.
I use a liquid screen protector. Doesn't really fill in scratches well but it gives you peace of mind.
Don't use a polish on the phone, you'll just scratch it more.

Hmm. Sounds interesting. I have the commuter case from otter box (wanted the defender). The screen protector was too difficult. Even with the hard card. Oh well. thank you guys

That was always my thought on scratch removal tricks or products for smartphone screens. I've never tried it (usually use a screen protector), but it seems like something that would do as much harm as good.
I know this may sound a little lame but I love the look of the phone, so I use it with no case. But the fingerprints are a bit much. Does anyone use anything like a cleaner, hand sanitizer, etc.?

One of the main reasons I bought mine as well is the looks.
You might want to check out the cases made by Spigen. Particularly the Slim Armor cases. They follow the looks of the phone and come in the same colors as the phone.

FYI no fingerprints here...

I have the spigen case and the screen protector. They work pretty well. I don't see any pri ts on tbe case. The screen will always have a smudge or two, but it's not that bad, way better than som other phone screen protectors I had.

I wish I could leave my grey m8 without a case but nope. have sweaty hands, this bad boy would be all banged up like my old s3 if it wasn't for the otter box defender I bought
